"So, even after meticulously studying my deck and specially preparing a targeted tactic like Dragon Swordbreaker, this is all you've got?" Seto Kaiba asked contemptuously.
Gosaburo furrowed his brows slightly. "Your Blue-Eyes White Dragon has been defeated head-on, and you only have a meager 300 Life Points left. Your chances of victory are infinitesimally close to zero."
"Is that so?" Kaiba challenged. "Then let's make a wager. I beat you back when we were orphans, and even after all these years, the outcome will be no different. Within the next turn, this duel and our grudge will come to an end."
"Interesting." Gosaburo drew two more cards. "Then show me how you plan to break out of this situation, Seto. I'll set one card and end my turn."
"My turn, draw!" Kaiba declared. "I'll set three cards and activate the magic card 'Card of Demise'! I'll draw cards until I have five cards in my hand, but at the cost of discarding all cards in my hand during the fifth turn's End Phase."
Kaiba's signature card, a violent replenishment of resources.
"I activate the trap card 'Skill Breaker' from my graveyard!" Kaiba continued. "By banishing this card from the graveyard, I negate the effects of one Effect Monster on the field until the end of this turn. I negate the effects of 'Dragon Swordbreaker!' "
A vortex swirled in the graveyard, and the trap card flipped in mid-air, sending chains of energy toward the Dragon Swordbreaker.
"So that's how you paid the cost for 'Dragon Awakening Melody' by discarding a card," Gosaburo nodded. "By negating the effects of a monster, you render its powerful suppression against Dragon-Type monsters useless. But as I said, my countermeasures are foolproof. Did you think I wouldn't be prepared for this level of response?"
Gosaburo gestured confidently. "Then I activate the hand trap 'Flash of the Destruction Swords' which I discarded to activate 'Remembrance of the Destruction Swords!' "
"Oh?"
"It's not only you who can activate traps from the graveyard, Seto," Gosaburo stated. "When 'Flash of the Destruction Swords' is in the graveyard and a 'Destruction Swordsman' on my field becomes the target of a Magic, Trap, or monster effect, I can banish this card from the graveyard to negate that activation and destroy it."
He pointed to the trap card spinning on Kaiba's field.
"Negate the activation of 'Skill Breaker' and destroy it!"
The converging chains of energy shattered instantly, and the trap card's image exploded into fragments. Kaiba hmphed. "Hmph, if you can't even handle this, then you're not worth defeating."
He played another monster card. "I summon 'Rogue Mercenary Force'!"

"I can tribute 'Rogue Mercenary Force' to destroy one monster on the field," Kaiba explained. "I destroy 'Dragon Swordbreaker!' "
The rogue mercenaries rushed forward like human bombs, swarming the Dragon Swordbreaker in a suicidal attack.
"In that case, I activate the effect of the trap card 'Skill Lock' from my graveyard!" Gosaburo countered. "By banishing 'Skill Lock' from the graveyard, I can select one card I control. All monster effects that target that card this turn are negated!"
"The absolute suppression of Dragon Destruction Sword only affects Dragon-type monsters and has no resistance to other effects," Gosaburo explained. "While your deck mainly consists of Dragon-types, it's not solely reliant on them."
Gosaburo looked up at Kaiba. "Do you think I would overlook that and not prepare appropriate countermeasures?"
Kaiba ignored him and waved his hand dismissively.
"Then, I activate the face-down card I set earlier," Kaiba said. "Magic card, 'Silent Doom,' revive a Normal Monster from the Graveyard in face-up Defense Position.
The radiant White Dragon descends once more—

"You summoned another Blue-Eyes. But the attack power of Dragon Destruction Sword changes according to the number of Dragon-type monsters on your field and in your Graveyard. Even if you revive it from the Graveyard, there will be no change."
"Do you think I'm concerned about such trivial matters?" Kaiba retorted. "Watch closely, for this is the true power of Blue-Eyes, shattering all in its path—

The White Dragon opened its mouth, and endless light transformed into a massive sphere of light, ready to unleash havoc!
"I see. Although the effects targeting Dragon Destruction Sword are negated this turn, if you destroy all monsters on the field, Skill Lock won't be able to protect it," Gosaburo remarked, a spark of excitement in his eyes.
"But as I said, my setup is flawless. Do you think I wouldn't have foreseen this?" Gosaburo continued. "I activate the counter trap, 'Anti-Revolution,' from my face-down card!
When an effect is activated that would destroy two or more cards on the field, negate that activation and banish that card!"
He pointed at Kaiba's magic card.
"Negate the activation of 'Burst Stream of Destruction' and banish it from the game!"
The swirling chains of energy shattered instantly, and the magic card exploded into fragments of light.
"I told you, my Dueling is perfect. Do you understand now, Seto?" Gosaburo asked. "Now, can you still boldly claim that you'll end this Duel within this turn?"
Kaiba remained unfazed. "Then I activate the magic card, 'Dark Factory of Mass Production,' to add two Normal Monsters from my Graveyard to my hand."
He drew the two cards that had been discarded to the Graveyard.
"Return the other two 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon' cards to my hand.
The card I will use next is this one."
Kaiba raised his arm, and the face-down card flipped open.
"Magic card, 'Polymerization'! Fuse the three 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon' cards from my field and hand!
The strongest Dragon-type monster that has evolved beyond its time, three thousand years ago—
—Ultimate Dragon, Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon, I summon you!!!"
The three White Dragons merged into the vortex of fusion, each becoming a pillar of white light.
