Chapter 267: The Dormitory
Chapter 267: The Dormitory
Li Qian walked over to the balcony and gazed out.
The view outside was captivating, with shimmering lakes and lush greenery.
Overall, Li Qian was quite satisfied with the apartment he was staying in. As for larger rooms or more luxurious conditions, he didn't give them much thought.
After all, he was here to study, not to indulge in pleasure.
While he could pursue better material conditions, as he would be living here for an extended period, there was no need to be overly demanding and lose sight of his primary purpose.
"Thank you for your help today, Teacher Jin," Li Qian said as he turned back into the room and expressed his gratitude.
Teacher Jin immediately waved his hand upon hearing this, "No need to thank me. Helping you with the enrollment process is within my job description."
"The enrollment process is complete, and the dormitory has been arranged. Now, I won't disturb your rest, Li Qian. If you have any questions or need anything, feel free to give me a call."
Li Qian nodded. Earlier, in Principal Fei's office, they had already exchanged contact information.
After expressing his gratitude once more, Teacher Jin left, and Li Qian took a moment to survey the apartment that would be his home for the foreseeable future. A faint smile curved his lips as he considered the apartment that would be his for quite some time.
The apartment was relatively clean overall, but as expected, there was some dust accumulation.
Scanning the room, Li Qian noticed that the previous occupant had left behind a fairly complete set of tools. Without wasting time, he picked up a broom and started sweeping.
Since the apartment wasn't overly dirty, with only a bit of dust, the cleaning process was relatively easy.
After about half an hour of cleaning, Li Qian scanned the room again and found it significantly cleaner.
Taking the bedding from his crystal necklace, Li Qian began making his bed. As he worked, his phone rang, and he saw that the caller was An Fat.
Without hesitation, Li Qian answered the call, and An Fat's voice immediately filled the room, "Qianzi, have you reached your dorm yet?"
"I'm in my dorm too," Li Qian replied with a smile, addressing An Fat's inquiry. "By the way, that Yi Hongling senior, she took you through the enrollment process alone. Did you have any different thoughts about her?"
An Fat's voice took on a slightly lewd tone, "Of course I did! She's got a killer figure and a pretty face. Didn't you have any special thoughts about her?"
Li Qian responded sarcastically, "Of course I did. I was thinking of asking her how she'd handle a foul-mouthed joker like you if she heard this."
An Fat immediately backpedaled, "Qianzi, please don't tell her! I was just joking."
After some banter, An Fat requested a video call, and Li Qian accepted without hesitation. On the screen, An Fat's dorm appeared—a shared room for two, and it looked quite nice.
An Fat proudly showed off his dorm through the phone, "Qianzi, I'm in my dorm. It's a shared room, but the view of the lake from here is pretty good."
"As Li Qian watched the balcony view on An Pangzi's phone, he felt a sense of familiarity and muttered to himself, 'So this lake is called Willow Lake...'"
On the phone, An Pangzi continued his display, "Bro, take a look. The dorm is pretty big and spacious. This is my roommate, Zahar."
Just as he introduced him, a young man with prominent eyebrows and eyes, and a full beard, suddenly appeared in the frame. An Pangzi took the opportunity to introduce him.
"Hello," Li Qian greeted the bearded Kucha man, but his thoughts immediately turned sarcastic.
This man was An Pangzi's roommate, which meant he was likely also eighteen years old.
Seeing an eighteen-year-old looking like this, Li Qian could only think that he would surely avoid many detours in the future.
After the greeting, Zahar left as they weren't close, and besides greetings, he didn't know what else to say.
An Pangzi looked around, noticing that Li Qian's phone was pointing at the ceiling, so he couldn't see anything. Out of curiosity, he said, "By the way, bro, which building are you in? I'll drop by when I'm free."
Driven by curiosity, he continued, "Put on the VR glasses and let me see your dorm."
"I'm still cleaning, it's a bit messy," Li Qian refused without hesitation. This guy had been showing off his dorm on the phone.
If he saw Li Qian's apartment, he might instantly lose his composure.
Helpless, An Pangzi's dorm for two cost a significant price, but Li Qian's apartment was provided for free, and the difference was obvious.
"It's fine, I'll just take a look. Maybe after I'm done, I can come and help you."
Seeing An Pangzi's insistence, Li Qian put on the VR glasses without hesitation and began scanning.
The VR glasses were connected to Li Qian's phone, so when he put them on, everything he saw was also synced to An Pangzi's phone.
"Then go ahead and look," Li Qian said, using the VR glasses to scan his entire apartment. After An Pangzi saw it all, he exclaimed, "Are you sure this is a school dorm and not a hotel room?"
Finally, when Li Qian's gaze reached the balcony, revealing the lake's beauty, he cried out, "This is... Willow Lake!"
As he clearly saw the view from the balcony and realized where Li Qian was, he couldn't help but curse, "Damn, I didn't say anything."
At this moment, he felt envious, but his envy didn't lead to jealousy.
He knew that with Li Qian's demonstrated strength and talent, such treatment wasn't exaggerated.
Li Qian smiled gently, looking at An Pangzi on the phone, a faint curve forming on his lips. "Weren't you going to come and help me clean?"
Hearing this, An Pangzi immediately feigned confusion, pretending not to hear, "Huh? What? My signal is weak, I'll hang up."
"This guy!" Li Qian muttered, shaking his head with a smile.
