Chapter 263: Academic Year Summary
Chapter 263: Academic Year Summary
Ivan originally thought this was likely something a newspaper editor had fabricated based on some hearsay.
But Ivan soon realized that Dugdale’s dismissal from St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries was also over ten years ago, so this news was probably not baseless.
Thinking about Dugdale’s usual unreliable behavior, Ivan shook his head helplessly. The old guy might have been caught taking bribes.
Ivan muttered to himself, put down the newspaper, and looked at the House-Elf standing beside him.
“Dobby, how are the things I asked you to sell?” Ivan asked.
“Most of them have been sold, a total of four thousand five hundred Galleons, sir!” Dobby said.
He snapped his fingers and disappeared from the spot, returning with a bag as big as his head.
Dobby placed it on the table and opened it, revealing a pile of golden Galleons inside.
“Put it away for now, and we’ll go to Gringotts to deposit it when we get back,” Ivan nodded, becoming increasingly satisfied with Dobby.
No wonder some old and wealthy Wizard families liked to keep a House-Elf.
Ivan had initially been a bit worried that Dobby might be unreliable and mess things up. But he later realized he was overthinking it; Dobby handled small tasks quite well.
Moreover, due to the inherent traits of House-Elves, Dobby worked diligently, was not greedy, and was extremely loyal, making him the perfect butler.
“Sir, we still have ten bottles of Acromantula Venom, more than a dozen Snake Fangs, and some other materials in stock.”
Dobby reported the remaining inventory in the Room of Requirement and mentioned that he had found a suitable buyer willing to pay a high price for these items, with the transaction set for three days later.
“Three days later?” Ivan thought for a moment.
That day happened to be when he was returning home, which meant Dobby wouldn’t be able to accompany him.
But that was fine; Ivan thought he could talk to Asya about Dobby beforehand so she could be prepared.
“Alright, come to Diagon Alley after you’ve sold the items,” Ivan decided.
“Yes, sir!” Dobby nodded and then disappeared with the bag full of Galleons.
“With this, it won’t be long before we have twenty thousand Galleons!” Ivan stroked his chin, muttering to himself.
Over the past academic year, he had earned a large amount of Galleons from Lockhart!
Adding the proceeds from selling magical materials and the annual income from the magic shop, they should have almost enough.
“Beware of the fish that slip through the net.” Ivan glanced at the task list, specifically the revitalization of the magic item shop, and fell into deep thought.
Diagon Alley was ultimately not very safe. If he couldn’t resolve all the troubles this time, it would be best to change his residence!
Three days passed quickly. Just before the end of the school term, the exam results were finally announced.
For Ivan, the results were no longer a surprise.
Except for the Defense Against the Dark Arts class, which was canceled this year and had no grade, he had received the highest evaluation in all other subjects.
A top student’s scores were always so monotonous and stable!
But it was different for the other young Wizards.
George and Fred were so anxious on the night the results were announced that they couldn’t sleep, fearing that one of their grades might fall below E (Exceeds Expectations).
If that happened, Mrs. Weasley would definitely be furious and stop them from pursuing their research into prank magic items.
The two of them were so nervous that their legs almost gave out when they saw their grades, but fortunately, they all passed. The brothers couldn't contain their excitement and hugged each other in front of everyone.
In the afternoon, they all boarded the Hogwarts Express, which slowly pulled away from the station.
On the journey, Hermione chattered away about her summer plans, while Ron teased his rat.
Ivan gazed out the window, watching as Hogwarts Castle gradually disappeared from view, feeling quite emotional.
At this time last year, he had been on edge, even preparing to battle Aisha.
Now, he was actually looking forward to it.
Ivan smiled, wondering how surprised Aisha would be to learn that he had earned so many Galleons and even brought back a House-Elf.
However, Ivan also recalled some not-so-pleasant things, such as his promise to go home for Christmas this year.
Unfortunately, due to the loss of the diary, he had been too anxious to find it and didn't go back, only sending a letter to Maka to explain, leaving Aisha hanging again.
*Ring, the school year has ended. Do you want to review your performance this year?*
The system's prompt sounded in his mind. Ivan snapped back to reality and silently responded.
Start the review.
*As of today, your performance this school year is as follows:*
*Class Evaluation: Perfect*
*Reward: 200 Academic Points*
*Final Exam Results: Transfiguration (Outstanding), Herbology (Outstanding), History of Magic (Outstanding)*
*Reward: 600 Academic Points*
*Honors: Quidditch Cup (100 Academic Points), Gryffindor House Cup (100 Academic Points)*
*Total Reward: 1000 Academic Points*
Ivan quickly scanned through the various bonus points in his year-end summary.
This year, he had one less Defense Against the Dark Arts class, so the exam score reward was fifty points less than last year.
But the perfect class evaluation and the Quidditch Cup made up for the difference, bringing the total reward to a thousand points!
"Too bad, it would have been great if it rewarded Legendary Points." Ivan mused, as he was just one Legendary Point away from fusing the next bloodline.
*Whistle*
Just as Ivan was deep in thought, the long whistle sounded, and the Hogwarts Express slowly came to a stop at the station.
Ivan packed up his things and walked off the train with Harry and the others, queuing up to pass through the barrier to London King's Cross Station.
Hermione spotted her father, Mr. Granger, waiting for her in the station and waved excitedly, not forgetting to turn around and say to Ivan.
"Ivan, Harry, and Ron, don't forget to write to me during the summer!"
"Of course, I promise!" Ivan smiled.
The young witch then ran over quickly, and Mr. Granger nodded at them.
Soon, the Weasleys picked up Ron, George, and the others, with Arthur kindly inviting Ivan to visit the Burrow if he had the time!
However, Ivan politely declined the offer.
After waiting for a while and watching Harry being roughly taken away by Vernon, Ivan looked around but couldn't find Aisha, feeling a bit uneasy.
Although he knew the way back, Aisha usually came to pick him up.
Was she delayed by something?
