Chapter 260: Defeat Wang Yin
"I told you—I’ve got you."
Zhang Yu roared, seizing Wang Yin by the collar and yanking his body off balance, then slamming him hard onto the ground.
Wang Yin, still caught in the midst of suppressing his martial energy, remained motionless, helplessly watching Zhang Yu’s every move.
Boom!
The earth trembled violently as Wang Yin’s body plunged into the ground, cratering the surface instantly.
The violent shockwaves sent his brain slamming against the inside of his skull, a dizzying, disorienting agony coursing through him.
…
Zhang Yu’s mind flashed back to Xinghuo Immortal’s teachings:
"That Spirit Armor skin is invulnerable—blade-proof, fire-resistant. Even a year of cultivation won’t crack it."
"But in battle, you must learn to avoid strength and strike weakness."
"Don’t waste time trying to break through the skin. Instead, bypass it—target his brain with shockwaves."
"Then shake his entire body, sever the connection between flesh and skin. Do you understand? That skin isn’t real flesh—it’s a spirit armor."
"Like a power socket… plugged directly into his meat."
"Keep shaking, keep pounding—until the connection fails."
Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!
In the deafening rhythm of impact, Wang Yin became nothing but a massive hammer in Zhang Yu’s hands—frenzied, relentless, smashed again and again into the earth.
Each violent collision sent waves through the cerebrospinal fluid, jolting his brain as his head snapped up and down. The pressure inside his skull surged and collapsed in terrifying cycles.
Meanwhile, the once-ironclad bond between Wang Yin’s Spirit Armor and his flesh began to fray under the relentless shaking.
Boom!
Wang Yin’s forehead slammed into the ground once more, sending shockwaves rippling outward. For the first time, a faint bruise appeared on his brow.
Zhang Yu’s eyes narrowed—his chance had come.
Though it looked like he was dominating, Zhang Yu knew his own battered body couldn’t hold out much longer.
Wang Yin, though disheveled, had suffered no real harm. His Spirit Root was quietly restoring his wounds, and his turbulent martial energy was slowly calming.
The tide was turning. If Zhang Yu didn’t strike now, defeat would be inevitable.
But now—this was the opening.
Zhang Yu thought: "The bruise means the skin’s connection to flesh is breaking. That’s the flaw—the Spirit Armor’s connection is loosening, just like a faulty plug."
As the thought flashed, the Hurt Soul Brick buried in Zhang Yu’s mind pulsed faintly.
Wang Yin’s world spun. His bones cracked and rattled like loose machinery, his head buzzing as if a swarm of insects were thrashing inside.
Then—silence.
He lay still, eyes half-open, staring up at Zhang Yu, who now held a golden glow in his palm, descending like a hammer toward his forehead.
THUD!
The Hurt Soul Brick struck Wang Yin’s brow with a thunderous impact—like a temple bell tolling in the void.
Zhang Yu saw a surge of light flicker across the brick’s surface, then vanish—streams of shimmering energy darting through the tiny crack in the Spirit Armor, flooding into Wang Yin’s mind.
"Ling界 Golden City: Deposit 10,000, Get 10,000! Direct Casino!"
"Super Electronic Entertainment: Thrilling, fiery, real-life!"
"Local Gold Tutoring: Score 100+ points in a month! Free registration, get free drugs!"
"Heavenly Court Sunshine Project: Mutual aid investment! Prosper together!"
In an instant, Wang Yin’s mind was overrun—flooded by a tsunami of spam.
A relentless barrage of garbage messages crashed into his consciousness, leaving him stunned, disoriented.
Zhang Yu stared, stunned himself.
…Is this… advertising?
No—this is scam. Pure fraud.
And it feels exactly like the Evil God’s tricks.
Zhang Yu frowned.
So it’s not a brick.
It’s a hard drive.
His thoughts raced—but only for a split second.
Just as he raised the Hurt Soul Brick for another blow—
Wang Yin screamed, unleashing a furious punch straight at Zhang Yu.
Too close for evasion.
Zhang Yu knew he couldn’t block it head-on—his body was already shattered.
"Then I’ll go all in."
He sacrificed his left arm.
Boom!
The Hurt Soul Brick struck Wang Yin’s forehead again, while Zhang Yu’s left arm blocked the blow.
Even with his empty cavities absorbing the impact, the force shattered his bones, tore his tendons, and sprayed blood across the ground. His arm hung limp, lifeless.
Wang Yin spasmed violently under the second strike.
He clenched his fist, trying to retaliate—but his mind was already unraveling.
He couldn’t focus.
As the Hurt Soul Brick descended once more, Wang Yin glared at Zhang Yu, voice low and trembling:
"Zhang Yu… don’t you want money?
You forgot—your account and Bai Zhenzhen’s were frozen, with hundreds of millions locked. And the rest? The tens of millions still untransferred.
If you admit your mistakes, I’ll double it all…"
Zhang Yu cut him off coldly:
"The frozen money? It was our payment.
You wouldn’t give it? Then I’ll take it myself."
THUD!
Wang Yin screamed—his mind felt like it was bursting from the data flood.
He roared, furious:
"Zhang Yu! You dare harm my soul! Luzhou Group! Youming University! Youming Palace—they’ll never let you live!"
Zhang Yu raised the Hurt Soul Brick once more, towering over him, voice ice-cold:
"Fucking hell… you’ve never let me live!"
THUD!
Wang Yin spat blood from all seven orifices. His vision blurred—his eyes could no longer see.
Struggling, he gasped:
"The First Layer’s fate… was decided by immortals… you’re defying destiny…"
"Destiny?" Zhang Yu replied, calm. "I’d be eaten if I followed it."
THUD!
"I’ve endured… and still been eaten."
THUD!
"Since Kunxu is either a predator or prey—then I’ll eat you first."
THUD!
Wang Yin’s head was now misshapen, his face a bloody mess. His limbs twitched weakly—but he was no longer moving. No longer speaking.
Then—Xinghuo Immortal appeared beside Zhang Yu, as if materializing from thin air.
With a single sweep of his hand, he shattered the Youming Blood Shadow Shield, reducing it to a thousand crimson fragments. The blood spirits let out a final, mournful sigh before dissolving into the wind.
Xinghuo Immortal gently gripped Zhang Yu’s raised arm.
"Enough, child."
"Keep this up—he’ll die."
"He’s just another one of them. They’re everywhere. Worthless.
You don’t need to die with him."
"To me… you’re far more valuable."
Zhang Yu’s breathing slowed. His body relaxed.
He looked up—only to see chaos beyond the battlefield.
Luzhou Group employees surged toward the center, desperate to save Wang Yin.
But more people stepped forward—blocking them.
The clash spread from sky to earth, a chain reaction threatening to turn the entire Songyang City into a corporate battlefield.
Zhang Yu murmured: "All outsiders? So many?"
Huh. Deng Bingding’s pulling in some real muscle, he thought.
Xinghuo Immortal chuckled.
"Sort of. But these people? They’re not just contractors."
"They’re local aristocrats from Songyang City—nobles from other companies, even employees of Luzhou Group itself."
Zhang Yu blinked. "So they’re Deng Bingding’s backup? Then what about—?"
Xinghuo Immortal shrugged.
"Who wins, they back."
"Wang Yin’s downfall? Everyone will see it’s the arrangement from above—the result of a higher struggle."
"Right now, most of the First Layer’s nobles—especially those long suppressed—are rising up against Luzhou Group. Other companies and employees are seizing the chaos."
Zhang Yu stared at the battle-scarred warriors.
"Zheng Shen won’t stop them?"
"Why should he?" Xinghuo Immortal said coolly.
"Controlled warfare drives real-world industry. It boosts the medical market. It forces insurance companies to pay more. It reduces unemployment. It weeds out outdated tech."
"For Youming Palace, the First Layer’s problems need transformation—through farming, through breeding."
"But for others? A few battles might be enough."
Zhang Yu fell silent. He looked down at Wang Yin.
"What now?"
"None of our business," Xinghuo Immortal said, pulling him away.
"Someone else will take him back."
"Nine months from now, when you start university—you’ll meet him again."
"Only this time… no one will be there to save you."
He glanced at Zhang Yu.
"For the next nine months, you and Bai Zhenzhen will train under me."
…
On the street.
Li Xuelian turned to the Xianyun Group director.
"Join me?"
The director shook his head.
"Contract binds me. It expires tomorrow. You go first."
Li Xuelian smiled.
Then—she vanished.
In her wake, silver light shimmered like falling stars, dancing with her flowing hair.
Where she passed, Luzhou Group employees collapsed—unharmed, but unconscious.
…
On a phone screen.
Yu Xinghan stared at the image of Xinghuo Immortal dragging Zhang Yu away.
Oh no.
The Golden Core Disciple’s sky has fallen.
Yu Xinghan clutched his chest—pain flared.
Zhang Yu will take at least half my training funds…
But then he remembered Zhang Yu smashing through the Youming Blood Shadow Shield, one brick at a time, reducing Wang Yin to pulp.
He shook his head.
No… he’ll take more than 80%.
And Bai Zhenzhen too…
…I’ll never see a single percent of the old man’s inheritance.
My little savings? Gone.
Then—lightning struck.
He grabbed his phone, rushed to Zhang Yu’s crowdfunding page.
Zhang Yu just won big. He’ll make a fortune.
But if I keep loaning him money… I get 1.3x back, no matter how much he earns!
He tapped in—
And froze.
The loan portal was closed.
