"You Xuan, an opponent that truly catches one off-guard." Amelda muttered, "Even those hailed as legends may not necessarily possess such strength."
"Of course," Guiping replied, hands on his hips.
"It seems like it's me who needs to be more cautious, or I'll be the one instantly taken out." Amelda said with a smile, "My turn, draw!"
After drawing, he immediately revealed his hand.
"I activate the Spell Card, 'Magical Stone Tablet in a Jar,' which lets both players draw three cards." Amelda drew, and a sharp glint appeared in his eyes.
"I activate the Equip Spell, 'Premature Burial,' paying 800 Life Points to Special Summon a monster from either player's Graveyard in face-up Attack Position!"

"I Special Summon 'Catastrophe Devil' from my Graveyard!"
Catastrophe Devil had an effect that could destroy one Spell or Trap Card, either on the field or from the hand, once per turn. Having it revived could be a tricky situation.
"I activate my face-down Trap Card, 'Prophecy of Reincarnation.' I can select up to two cards in either player's Graveyard, and return them to the bottom of their owner's Deck.
I select 'Catastrophe Devil' in your Graveyard, which was the target of 'Premature Burial,' and 'Lava Golem' in my Graveyard, to return them to our respective Decks!" You Xuan declared.
"Oh, right! If 'Catastrophe Devil' returns to the Deck, 'Premature Burial' loses its target and resolves without effect!" Guiping exclaimed, impressed. "Nice move, You Xuan."
"It's not that simple." Amelda drew another card, "I activate the Quick-Play Spell Card, 'Dust Tornado'! Destroy one Spell or Trap Card on the field."
"Huh?" Guiping was taken aback, "But even if a Trap Card is destroyed, its effect still resolves, right?"
"No," Kaiba interjected calmly, "He's not targeting 'Prophecy of Reincarnation.'"
Indeed, Amelda continued, "The card I'm targeting for destruction is this one—
—the Equip Spell, 'Cybernetic Amplifier'!"
"Ah!" Guiping realized, "If 'Cybernetic Amplifier' is destroyed, the effect of 'Cyber-Stein' will apply to both players again. Which means..."
"...'Prophecy of Reincarnation' will be negated by Cyber-Stein's own effect." Kaiba finished.
"Is that his plan?" You Xuan asked, "However, 'Cybernetic Amplifier' has another effect. When this card leaves the field, destroy the equipped monster."
A black hurricane swept up the Trap Card, and a bolt of black lightning shattered the amplifier on Cyber-Stein's head. The monster let out a muted groan before exploding into pieces and leaving the field.
"So, by the time 'Prophecy of Reincarnation' resolves, Cyber-Stein is no longer on the field, and its effect won't be negated."
As they spoke, both You Xuan's and Amelda's Duel Disks emitted a golden light, and a card was ejected from each of their Graveyards.
You Xuan took the Lava Golem and placed it back into his Deck, which automatically shuffled within his Duel Disk.
Amelda reluctantly took back the Catastrophe Devil and returned it to his Deck, shuffling it as well. With its target gone, Premature Burial had no effect.
"Then, I'll use this card again." Amelda said, "I activate the Quick-Play Spell Card, 'Toy Box'! By discarding one card, I can Special Summon three 'Machine Tokens'!"

"And the card I discard is the Spell Card, 'Compensation Scroll,' which lets me draw two cards when it's sent from my hand to the Graveyard." Amelda drew two cards, glanced at them, hesitated for a moment, and narrowed his eyes slightly, a small smile playing at the corners of his mouth.
Three pillars of light engulfed the three Machine Tokens on the field.
"Tributing the three 'Machine Tokens', I summon the ultimate aerial fortress—
—Maju Gireato! Come forth!" (Original Card)
A colossal shadow loomed, resembling a dark cloud blocking out the sun. The massive fortress, with its exaggerated dimensions, resembled a floating steel citadel. Its surface was covered in intricate patterns and armor plating. Beneath the fortress, the air currents churned violently, forming spectacular vortices as powerful gravity pulled the clouds into their midst.
Maju Gireato had been summoned!

Amelda's ultimate ace, which had not been made into a physical card in the original story, made its appearance. In the anime, when Amelda dueled Kaiba on the plane, he summoned this fortress, its size dwarfing the aircraft several times over. Its sheer magnitude was awe-inspiring.
"Here it comes again," Guiping frowned. "I remember its effect."
"It's unaffected by any Spell or Trap effects," Kaiba said, crossing his arms. "Indeed, a bit of a tricky monster."
"This ends it. Even if you have any Trap Cards set on your field, they won't be able to stop this." Amelda chuckled.
You Xuan looked up at the monstrous fortress and remarked, "What an incredible monster."
"Maju Gireato attacks directly!" Amelda declared.
All the cannon barrels on the fortress shifted, aiming downward like the mouths of steel beasts. At Amelda's command, the stored energy erupted, flames soaring into the sky, and the roar of cannons deafened the ears, like a raging storm.
"I activate a Trap Card," You Xuan said.
"It's useless," Amelda interrupted. "Traps have no effect on Maju Gireato. It's unaffected by any Spell or Trap effects."
"I know," You Xuan waved his hand. "But the Trap Card I'm activating is this one—Enemy Attack Announcement! When your opponent declares an attack, you can Special Summimate a monster from your hand to take the attack!"
With a sweep of his arm, he played the card.
"I Special Summon 'Magical Hound - Hellhound' in Defense Position!"
[Magical Hound - Hellhound: 800 DEF]
"Hmm, trying to stall for time with a Defense Position monster, eh?" Amelda said. "Very well, destroy 'Magical Hound - Hellhound'!"
The fortress' barrage rained down, and the magical hound's body was blown to smithereens by the concentrated firepower.
"Now, the effect of 'Magical Hound - Hellhound' activates," You Xuan said as he drew a card that had been ejected from his Deck.
"When this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard, add a Level 8 Fiend-Type monster from your Deck to your hand."
Amelda furrowed his brow.
A Level 8 Fiend-Type...
You Xuan smiled as he revealed the card he had just searched out.
"I return this card, 'Lava Golem', which was shuffled back into my Deck, to my hand."
Amelda: "What?! How is that possible?!"
How is that thing back again?!
