Chapter 255: The Corpse God Cult's Evil Mastermind Revealed, and Off to the Great Family to Kill Som
Chapter 255: The Corpse God Cult's Evil Mastermind Revealed, and Off to the Great Family to Kill Some Dogs
"Who is it?"
A deep voice emanated from Li Che's mouth, and his originally closed eyes slowly opened, transforming from a closed posture.
A sense of oppression that made You Liqing, who was bound by the spirit, feel incredibly suppressed, irresistible, and absolutely obedient. The terrifying aura of a higher realm spread from Li Che's body.
It was as if a supreme being was seated atop a city tower, controlling the spirits of the dead, and casting a glance at the insignificant wandering souls strolling above the Yellow Springs.
Like the sound of heavenly thunder, You Liqing's bound spirit trembled slightly, and he could even sense the sudden burst of terrifying emotional fluctuations from Li Che.
You Liqing bowed and clasped his fists, his golden armor clanging. The armor plates kept colliding with each other.
He lowered his head, his posture extremely humble, and even a hint of fanaticism appeared in his eyes.
This was the supreme being he followed, a terrifying existence that could pull him out of death and give him a new life!
You Liqing's heart stirred with emotion. He had never felt any disappointment or despair because of his transformation into a bound spirit. Instead, he felt a sense of relief and gratitude.
After experiencing the terror of death once, he could no longer face life and death calmly.
The wind howled, and the heavy rain pounded on the eaves, constantly jumping like beads, like thunder.
Li Che calmly stared at You Liqing.
Waited for You Liqing's answer.
Regarding the Corpse God Cult hidden within the Heavenly Origin Divine Sect, Li Che had long been curious about the identity of the evil mastermind. Unfortunately, within the sect, he dared not easily use the Corpse God Seal, as doing so would alert not only the incredibly powerful sect master but also the Dao Yun plaque of the Heavenly Origin Divine Sect.
For this reason, Li Che was very curious about the identity of the evil mastermind of the Corpse God Cult.
A Jade Corpse Shaman from the Corpse God Cult mentioned the existence of the evil mastermind hidden within the Heavenly Origin Divine Sect while chatting with the divine child. This information was like a thorn in Li Che's throat, constantly reminding him to pay attention to Xi Xi's safety. He feared that a moment of inattention on his part might lead to Xi Xi being targeted and attacked by the evil mastermind of the Corpse God Cult.
Although Li Che was confident in his ability to rescue her in an instant, he couldn't rule out the possibility of unforeseen circumstances.
What if...
The evil mastermind of the Corpse God Cult used a method similar to the divine talisman master Su Huaiyin from the Su family, restricting the Cat Face's ability to teleport away.
Li Che was concerned that his rescue might not be in time.
Of course...
Now that Immortal in the Painting had undergone two transformations and obtained the divine ability Ink City after attaining the Dao Fruit, Li Che felt more confident in Xi Xi's safety.
After all, Li Che had just tested it on the Cat Face.
Being able to save the Cat Face from such a formidable lineup was enough to prove the strong security of Ink City.
In times of need, he could protect his daughter thoroughly.
Unless they encountered a situation where the divine embryo cultivator and the Martial Saint disregarded everything and went crazy, they might face greater danger.
But even in such a situation, Li Che had a backup plan.
Now that Xi Xi had joined the half-sage divine talisman master, the sect master's wife, Li Che finally relaxed and no longer needed to be constantly vigilant.
However, even so, Li Che still couldn't stop thinking about the evil mastermind hidden within the Corpse God Cult.
"This person... the lord should know him."
You Liqing said.
"Second on the True Transmission List, Huang Jianjiu."
After speaking, even Li Che was stunned.
"Who?"
Li Che's eyebrows furrowed, and his eyes flashed with disbelief, astonishment, and confusion.
"Huang Jianjiu."
You Liqing spoke in a low voice.
After repeating it, Li Che stood up from under the eaves.
Boom!
His powerful body suddenly rushed out, and his surging blood boiled, scorching and fierce, smashing the raindrops into fragments that evaporated into steam.
In Li Che's pupils, there seemed to be flickering electric lights.
"Huang Jianjiu?"
Li Che frowned, "Let me see."
After speaking, Li Che raised his hand, and a finger had already landed on You Liqing's forehead, who was standing respectfully.
Buzz!
In an instant, within the heavens and earth chessboard, Li Che felt a mass of thick ink explode, followed by a vision of flowing light.
...
...
Heavenly Origin Divine Sect.
Outer Sect, Disciple City.
The outer sect elder's courtyard that Jiao Shaoqiu had indicated.
Spring rain fell on the awakening thunder, pattering continuously, as if awakening frozen insects from their hibernation, urging them to break through the soil.
A sound of knocking on the door reverberated.
Jiao Shaoqiu slowly stood up, holding an oil-paper umbrella, and opened the door. Dressed in a simple robe, he appeared quite spirited.
Nie Yang had been assigned to protect Li Che's safety, so Jiao Shaoqiu had fewer people at his disposal.
In fact, he didn't mind.
When the door opened, a plump woman wearing a cloth skirt appeared before Jiao Shaoqiu. Wrinkles creased the corners of her eyes, and her fair skin was framed by a blue flower scarf tied around her forehead.
In the distance, two disciples of the Divine Sect quietly waited, obviously responsible for protecting the woman and escorting her here.
"Madam... why are you here?"
Jiao Shaoqiu's withered face twitched, and seeing this madam, he knew that the matter must be related to Huang Jianjiu.
Most likely, Huang Jianjiu had accumulated a large debt of unpaid wine money and then disappeared without a trace, prompting the madam to come looking for him.
This wasn't the first time such an incident had occurred.
"Elder Jiao, is Huang Jianjiu not here? Is he hiding in your courtyard?" the madam asked politely.
Jiao Shaoqiu shook his head and said softly, "Jianjiu hasn't returned to the Divine Sect's main gate for many days..."
Upon hearing this, the madam's eyes dimmed.
"He's not here again? Is he hiding from me?"
The madam was a bit exasperated.
Hearing this, Jiao Shaoqiu shook his head, "You want him to pay back the wine money and give you a chance to see him, so he has the courage to keep running away?"
"Girl, I think it's better to give up on him."
"This guy is so stubborn, and his heart knot is untangled. He'll only hold you back."
Jiao Shaoqiu held the oil-paper umbrella, and a hint of regret flashed in his eyes.
The madam still had her charm, and at this moment, she pursed her lips and wiped her newly worn clothes with her slightly rough hands.
"Elder... are you trying to persuade me too?"
"Actually, if he wants to drink, I can support him for a lifetime... But he always disappears, and when he owes wine money, he doesn't want to come. If I want to see him, I can only urge him to pay back the money."
"The proprietress felt a bit embarrassed and said, "What about the wine money? What's the point of calculating that?"
Jiao Shaoqiu stroked his beard and smiled, "That's true. Your Drunken Goose Tower is doing pretty well. The accounts look good, and it's been open for many years, right?"
"Almost twenty years. After this year, it'll be twenty years..." The proprietress said with a smile.
Jiao Shaoqiu stepped aside to let the proprietress enter the courtyard, but she waved her hands hurriedly, "Forget about the Yellow Sword Wine. Don't bother the Elder."
Just as the proprietress was about to turn and leave, a flash of sword light suddenly shot out from the distance. The sword light galloped, tearing through the heavens and earth, piercing through the raindrops.
A disheveled figure appeared, carrying a sword case on his back and a wine gourd at his waist. He took a sip of wine with great satisfaction.
Suddenly, Yellow Sword Wine tapped his toes on the ground, drew a circle with his body, and was about to leave for the distance.
"Yellow Sword Wine, stop right there!" The proprietress saw him and immediately raised her eyebrows and scolded him.
"You really don't want to see me?"
"Come back here! Otherwise, I'll come to the Heavenly Origin Divine Sect every day to collect wine money!"
Yellow Sword Wine turned around, his beard unkempt, and his face filled with impatience, "You're making me lose face... I'm at least the second on the True Transmission List of the Heavenly Origin Divine Sect!"
"Do you think I'll owe you wine money? I can make money easily, right? I'm just too lazy to earn it. I saved you, a young girl, from that village so many years ago. It's been almost thirty years, hasn't it? My life-saving grace isn't worth a few drinks from you?"
"You should have let me die in that village!" Yellow Sword Wine retorted, his breath reeking of alcohol.
The proprietress pursed her lips, remaining surprisingly calm.
"You saved me, you married me, and you didn't lose anything by doing so. You're a cultivator with a lifespan of hundreds of years, while I'm just an ordinary mortal who might not live past seventy... Why are you so afraid?"
Yellow Sword Wine became anxious, "Elder Jiao, look at her, she's like this!"
"You'll scare someone to death! I'm not drinking this wine!"
Yellow Sword Wine left with a parting remark, and as he stepped out, a sword light burst out from the sword case, instantly splitting the round raindrops in half with its sharpness.
Yellow Sword Wine also rode on the sword light and quickly disappeared into the distance!
The proprietress stomped her feet, biting her lips in anger.
"That woman has already married into the Su family, why can't he forget her? Who is he putting on this show of devotion for?"
The proprietress was indignant, even feeling a bit wronged, tears welling up in her eyes.
"It's just because I'm an ordinary mortal, I don't have the talent for cultivation... Unlike that woman, who has astonishing talent and is a thousand-foot divine child!"
The proprietress wiped away her tears and squatted on the ground, burying her head and crying for a while.
The next moment, she stood up and wiped away her tears.
"I can still wait for you for thirty years. Yellow Sword Wine, we'll see!"
Jiao Shaoqiu remained silent.
He looked in the direction where Yellow Sword Wine had left.
Even he couldn't understand.
What was Yellow Sword Wine rejecting? Wasn't it said that sincerity moves even the hardest of hearts? A mortal woman had done so much for him, wasn't that enough?
Thirty years, and then another thirty years. How many thirty years does a woman have?
Was it really because of that woman?
Crack! Crack!
The awakening thunder rumbled, and electric snakes slithered through the rain, which became even more torrential.
The sword light tore through the rain, carrying Yellow Sword Wine's figure and landing on the large courtyard. The rain flowed on the courtyard, creating a rushing sound like a flowing stream.
"Who... is spying on me?" Yellow Sword Wine's disheveled appearance vanished, and his sword-like eyebrows became incredibly sharp.
He didn't even have time to argue with the proprietress, as his heart was pounding with a secret buried deep within, now seemingly revealed.
In this moment, his eyes became incredibly sharp, as if countless sword auras were swirling within his pupils.
He raised his finger, and a dazzling silver sword light danced on his fingertip, continuously swirling around.
"If you don't come out... then I won't be polite."
Yellow Sword Wine clenched his five fingers, and in an instant, a dazzling silver light exploded. He swung his long sword like a dragon, slashing and cutting through the air.
The sword light danced, shimmering and sparkling, containing extreme sharpness. It seemed to merge with the countless raindrops, falling to the ground with a crackling sound.
On the large courtyard, countless sword scars and ravines were carved out, as if a sharp sword rain had fallen.
The endless sword intent was vast and mighty, containing both ferocity and accumulated madness.
However, countless silver sword scars covered the courtyard.
Yellow Sword Wine's weathered hair flew in the wind as he held a dazzling silver longsword.
It was as if he was performing a solo act, and no one was forced out by him.
But Yellow Sword Wine's eyebrows furrowed into a frown.
Right at the entrance of Elder Jiao's residence, he felt a pressure that made his soul tremble, a suppression of rank.
He knew all too well what that suppression meant.
He felt the pressure all the way here.
But now, the suppression had disappeared.
However, someone was spying on him, seeing the deepest secret he had hidden.
Yellow Sword Wine suddenly smiled bitterly, removed the stopper from his wine gourd, and gulped down the wine, which mixed with the rainwater and washed over his face.
"I must have been drunk..."
"It feels like my old opponent, You Liqing, is spying on me."
He narrowed his eyes.
Looking at the wine gourd soaked in the rain, he remembered that this was the wine gourd given to him by the proprietress. The girl who had once been in the prime of her youth now had wrinkles at the corners of her eyes.
Yellow Sword Wine caressed the wine gourd and pursed his lips.
"You're a mortal, and you're still a person..."
"But I'm not anymore."
...
...
Li Che released his finger from You Liqing's forehead.
The observation of the scene was complete.
In the face of Yellow Sword Wine's indiscriminate attack, You Liqing chose to retreat.
But it was enough.
From the feedback of the Corpse God Seal in You Liqing's Niwan Palace, it was confirmed that Yellow Sword Wine had indeed bestowed a Corpse Curse, and the rank was extremely high...
Furthermore, he had used countless sword lights to cover it up.
"It's actually him."
Li Che's hair danced wildly, his eyes flashing like lightning, and he was slightly surprised.
He truly hadn't expected it to be Yellow Sword Wine.
Regarding Yellow Sword Wine, the second on the True Transmission List of the Heavenly Origin Divine Sect, Li Che's first impression was still quite good. Although disheveled, he had once helped their family.
At the city gate, Yellow Sword Wine had assisted them, opposing the formidable You Liqing.
He had captured You Liqing, the Bound Spirit.
Li Che returned to the eaves, his breath restrained, calming his mind and body. He clenched his fist and resumed absorbing the Divine Essence Crystal.
Since it was confirmed that Huang Jian Jiu was a heretic from the Corpse God Cult hidden within the Heavenly Origin Divine Sect, Li Che naturally chose to uphold his unwavering belief.
Heretics from the Corpse God Cult... they must be eradicated without exception.
If you have fallen into the Corpse God Cult, even if you have your reasons...
But as Li Che closed his eyes, he recalled everything that had happened in Feilei City and Jinguangfu City.
When he opened his eyes again, they were filled with murderous intent.
Li Che was determined to eliminate the heretics from the Corpse God Cult. He didn't need a reason.
...
...
Huang Jian Jiu was no weakling. He was the second-ranked genius on the True Lineage Scroll of the Heavenly Origin Divine Sect, and his swordsmanship was extraordinary. He had undoubtedly cultivated Sword Intent with the Divine Seed and integrated it into his Mysterious Art.
His cultivation was extremely profound, not far behind You Liqing's.
However, Li Che also had his trump cards. He possessed the Blood God Nine Yang Golden Monkey, and he had captured You Liqing with the Bound God technique.
He himself had the Dragon and Elephant Heavenly Gales, which could clash with the power of the Three Flowers Trigram.
But unlike the heavily injured You Liqing, Huang Jian Jiu was currently in his prime, and his foundation was so deep that Li Che couldn't fathom it. If he were to kill him by force, the chances of success wouldn't be too high.
"If I lure him into Ink City and let the Blood God Nine Yang Golden Monkey, along with You Liqing, join forces to kill him, while I attack from the shadows with cold arrows and underhanded tactics... the chances of success should reach eighty percent."
Li Che's eyes flashed with determination.
The Blood God Nine Yang Golden Monkey had almost fully recovered, regaining Martial Saint-level strength, comparable to a one-opening Open Heart Martial Saint...
It was Li Che's trump card and source of confidence!
The rain continued to fall, pattering on the eaves.
Li Che remained seated in the courtyard, and as the sky grew dark, the rain of the Awakening Thunder gradually stopped.
The spring breeze carried a chill, as the Awakening Thunder in January signaled the edge of revival for all things.
In Li Che's hand was a Five Elders Rank Divine Essence Crystal, and the last trace of essence was absorbed by the Law Heaven Earth Spirit Bright True Monkey within his Niwan Inner Scene.
Li Che slowly opened his eyes, and they seemed to be filled with surging, intertwining electric lights.
His blood roared, and with a crisp crack, the Divine Essence Crystal shattered, reduced to powder by his powerful grip. He took out a jet-black wooden crow and carefully placed the crystal powder inside.
"It's a pity that at the Great Master level, the effects of poison become limited. No, it's probably because I haven't found a top-tier poison that can threaten a Great Master, or even a Martial Saint..."
Li Che shook his head and sighed softly, "Perhaps I should go to the Imperial Observatory and ask a master alchemist if there's a poison that can threaten a Great Master, or even a Martial Saint..."
"That way, I'll have an advantage in combat."
Li Che muttered to himself.
The cold wind howled as the rain stopped.
Li Che stood up, his ink-colored robe fluttering in the wind, and finished the last cup of tea.
Li Che took a step forward.
A deep rumble resonated, and his body instantly expanded, encircled by scorching white waves that spread in all directions.
Brilliant golden light burst from his eyes, like flowing, dense, and fragrant incense, accompanied by faint golden smoke that lingered endlessly.
His thick, pitch-black hair was blown by the air currents from countless pores, growing wildly to his waist and then transforming into an incredibly heavy black cloak! Li Che, now towering at 2.3 meters, had thick, snake-like muscles that twitched uncontrollably, and his blood flowed like liquid mercury.
Dragon and Elephant Vajra, ascending to the heavens! Li Che's eyes flashed with faint golden electric lights that crackled.
He raised his hand and touched his brow.
In his Niwan Inner Scene...
Suddenly, the Heavens and Earth Chessboard soared into the sky, rapidly expanding with Listening Thunder Lane as one of its stars, covering a third of the Primordial Dao City in an instant.
To Li Che's surprise, Huang Jian Jiu's aura was not hidden at all; it was as obvious as the sun in his perception.
Huang Jian Jiu had clearly noticed You Liqing's probing, but... he didn't seem to think it was real?
"That's... Drunken Goose Tower?"
Li Che, with his Dragon and Elephant Vajra fully activated, had a robust and sturdy body, intertwined with electric lights. Through the Heavens and Earth Chessboard, he saw Huang Jian Jiu.
His hair, wild like a black cloak, suddenly swayed, and Li Che covered his face with an adorable cow mask. His entire body then leaped forward like an arrow released from a bowstring.
...
...
Drunken Goose Tower.
The breeze was refreshing.
This was a very successful restaurant in Primordial Dao City, as everyone knew that Drunken Goose Tower was backed by Huang Jian Jiu.
The owner of Drunken Goose Tower had a complicated relationship with Huang Jian Jiu.
As the second-ranked genius on the True Lineage Scroll of the Heavenly Origin Divine Sect and a self-made man, Huang Jian Jiu was a prime target for recruitment by various aristocratic families and influential forces.
Therefore, everyone gave him face, and Drunken Goose Tower's business was thriving; calling it a goldmine wouldn't be an exaggeration.
However, the owner remained unassuming, with her hair tied back with a blue floral cloth, avoiding any display of extravagance.
She knew that Huang Jian Jiu disliked extravagance.
Drunken Goose Tower had no owner, only an owner-like figure, and everyone acknowledged that Huang Jian Jiu was the owner of Drunken Goose Tower.
Even though Huang Jian Jiu had never acknowledged it himself.
The night was hazy, and clouds drifted in the sky.
The scent of wine was faint.
On the second floor of Drunken Goose Tower, by the railing, a table was set with fine wine and dishes, and a five-year-old vintage wine was placed on it.
Huang Jian Jiu still wore his usual disheveled clothes.
But he had combed his hair, which was no longer unruly, flowing smoothly like a waterfall," Li Che thought.
He had shaved off his beard, making him look a decade younger, like a gentle young man.
The owner-like figure carried a steaming dish from the kitchen.
Her steps were light, and as she approached Huang Jian Jiu, bathed in the moonlight, her entire body trembled slightly.
At this moment, Huang Jian Jiu...
Made her feel like she had returned to over twenty years ago, when he had saved her from a village ravaged by the Strange Palace.
He might have looked ordinary, but he exuded a sense of security that made her feel at ease.
And now, he had returned...
They had all returned.
Was it because Huang Jian Jiu had heard her crying?
Over the years, she had cried countless times.
"Jian Jiu, do you want me to cook a dish?"
The proprietress placed a steaming dish on the table, her voice gentle as she asked.
Huang Jian Jiu glanced at her, his expression soft, as if the moonlight that had seeped into the cracks of her heart made her go weak.
"No need, sit down and have a drink with me."
Huang Jian Jiu spoke softly.
He reached out and held the proprietress's hand, slightly stunned, only feeling its roughness.
Thirty years had passed, and she was no longer young.
The proprietress's face stiffened slightly, and she quickly withdrew her hand, a hint of panic on her face.
"I... I'll get you a good jar of wine."
"The finest wine."
"No need." Huang Jian Jiu held her back.
"It's been aged for twenty years," the proprietress said.
Huang Jian Jiu gently released her hand and let her go. After a moment, she returned.
In front of Huang Jian Jiu, she wiped away the dust that had sealed the jar for many years.
The rich aroma of wine wafted out, and the proprietress poured a cup for Huang Jian Jiu. Her bright eyes sparkled like stars, and she looked at Huang Jian Jiu, anticipating his reaction and evaluation after drinking the wine.
Huang Jian Jiu drained the cup, his throat rolling.
He pursed his lips; this wine didn't taste like it had been aged for twenty years...
What he was drinking was twenty years of bottled-up emotions.
"It's so beautiful."
Huang Jian Jiu spoke gently.
The proprietress smiled, and although there were wrinkles at the corners of her eyes that couldn't be erased, her smile was radiant and beautiful like a flower.
She poured herself a cup as well.
Holding the cup with both hands, she looked at Huang Jian Jiu expectantly, and tears had welled up in her eyes without her noticing.
She didn't want to think about Huang Jian Jiu's unusual behavior tonight; she just wanted to indulge.
"Come."
Huang Jian Jiu smiled and clinked cups with the charming proprietress.
Ding.
The crisp sound was like a clear spring rippling with waves.
They drank, and drank again.
After three cups, the proprietress, who couldn't hold her liquor, became slightly tipsy. With her rough hands, she grabbed Huang Jian Jiu's hand tightly, not letting go.
"You silly girl, you're at it again... You can't drink, but you like to brew wine..."
"I've tasted your wine, from when it was undrinkable to how good it is now."
Huang Jian Jiu sighed and gently ruffled the proprietress's hair.
Although she had aged, in his eyes, she was still the same charming girl who, after taking a sip of wine, would be so spicy that she'd stick out her tongue and shed tears.
"Sir, would you like to come up for a drink?"
Huang Jian Jiu picked up the green wine cup and looked up at the silver moon that had emerged from the washed sky.
A moment of silence...
A deep, gravel-like friction sound reverberated.
"Good."
In an instant.
The silver moon's radiance was obscured.
A terrifying and vast blood qi erupted like a wolf smoke, distorting the void, like an ancient ferocious beast emerging from a mountain of corpses and a sea of blood. Its muscular body was twisted into steel, and its flesh, like a tuber, had veins like dragons.
Huang Jian Jiu's gaze paused as he saw a giant chessboard laid out behind the Ox Demon.
On it was an ink-colored city, like a mirage.
His gaze shifted and fell on the face of the towering, tower-like figure.
It entered his vision.
A cute and adorable Ox Demon mask.
"Netherworld, Ox Demon."
"It's really you."
Huang Jian Jiu exhaled in relief and laughed.
"You're here to kill me... It seems the aura I sensed in front of Lu Xuan's courtyard wasn't wrong."
"I heard that the Netherworld can detect the Corpse Curse Seal of the Corpse God Sect... and can identify hidden Corpse God Sect cultivators."
"Indeed, the reputation is well-deserved."
Huang Jian Jiu sighed.
Netherworld...
An extremely mysterious force.
Ox Demon, Horse Face, Divine Monkey, Thunder Dragon, Black and White Impermanence... and Cat Face.
The mysterious art of spatial movement, even the Eight Fixed Wind and Waves Divine Talismans, couldn't restrict them.
Being targeted by such a force was truly unsettling.
Huang Jian Jiu gently caressed the proprietress's temples and cheeks.
He looked at the Ox Demon and spoke softly, "Can you wait a bit before killing me?"
Li Che wore the Ox Demon mask, his gaze calm as he looked at Huang Jian Jiu. The reason he was willing to chat with Huang Jian Jiu instead of immediately attacking...
...was all because of this woman. Li Che's gaze shifted to the proprietress, and his expression became slightly complex.
A simple and plain woman, a woman...
...with a personality similar to his wife, Zhang Ya.
"How can you be so sure you can kill me?"
The Ox Demon spoke in a deep voice.
In fact, even as they talked, Li Che had already entered a combat-ready state, ready to pull Huang Jian Jiu into Ink City at any moment.
In Ink City, the Blood Sun Nine Divine Golden Monkey and You Liqing were already poised for action.
Huang Jian Jiu finished the wine in his cup.
He smiled.
"Because you're the Ox Demon. If it were Cat Face, I wouldn't be so sure."
"But the Ox Demon... is cunning, treacherous, and venomous. No one has survived being targeted by them."
"You must be at least 80% sure you can kill me, so you came."
Huang Jian Jiu put down the empty cup.
He stared directly at the Ox Demon's adorable mask, but he couldn't see through the face behind the mask.
However, it didn't matter.
"It's 80%."
The Ox Demon spoke in a deep voice.
Huang Jian Jiu paused, surprised by such confidence. But he didn't dwell on it and laughed.
"Then can you fulfill a wish before I die, and then let me die?"
"Otherwise, you might not be able to kill me."
Huang Jian Jiu spoke seriously.
Li Che's eyebrows furrowed behind the mask, as Huang Jian Jiu's behavior tonight was odd.
"What wish?"
The Ox Demon asked hoarsely.
Huang Jian Jiu gently freed his hand from the proprietress's tight grip, then gently rubbed her hair.
He picked up the sword case from the table, carefully pouring the twenty-year-old fine wine into the wine gourd with its sword-scarred surface.
Then, facing the silver moon, he gently exhaled.
"Give me a little time."
"Three thousand years of tides rise and fall for the Su family."
"I want to go for a walk."
"I want to kill some dogs."
[7,000 characters] This chapter is a bit slow and long, and Huang Jian Jiu's storyline was mentioned before, but I wanted to try a different emotional angle. Some may like it, some may not. This line will be wrapped up in the next chapter, which will likely be the end. Please vote, recommend, and follow. On days without recommendations, your continued support is greatly appreciated! Good night!
