Chapter 254: The Second Magic Villa (Third Update)
Chapter 254: The Second Magic Villa (Third Update)
"Surprisingly, it upgraded again!"
Initially, Jerry had planned to return to the Harry Potter world after Has and Teacher Berry's wedding. After all, he already had over 400,000 Red Stars, which would allow him to stay in Mini World for more than a year.
Unexpectedly, the Panel upgraded again, and with the upgrade, a new Magic Mini World would appear.
After some thought, he decided this was for the best.
Given his current state, returning to the Harry Potter world would only provide him with more time to study Magic and improve his Mage level, but it wouldn't bring any significant breakthroughs.
He had already mastered most of the Magic taught over the seven years at Hogwarts.
The only potentially useful thing might be the Time-Turner he could obtain at the start of the school year.
At the end of the second year, Snape had approached him privately, informing him that Professor Mcgonagall had applied to the Ministry of Magic for a Time-Turner for Hermione, and she had also applied for one for Jerry.
The purpose was to ensure that Slytherin wouldn't fall behind Gryffindor.
However, the effectiveness of the Time-Turner wasn't particularly useful for Jerry.
From what he understood, while the Time-Turner could take you back in time, it couldn't change events that had already occurred.
No matter what you did when you used the Time-Turner to go back, the outcome would remain the same due to various reasons.
Moreover, it was extremely dangerous; misuse could lead to your complete disappearance from the past, present, and future.
The primary function of the Time-Turner was to give you more time than others to learn and study, essentially borrowing time from your future and using it in the present.
For example, if you used the Time-Turner to go back a day, your physical state wouldn't revert to what it was a day ago; your age would continue to increase. While you would have more time to study, you would also feel more exhausted.
This wasn't particularly useful for Jerry, as using the Time-Turner to gain two or three times more time would also require him to consume two or three times more Red Stars.
The total amount of time he could spend in Mini World wouldn't change.
If he were to bring it to the Main World, he was concerned about unforeseen consequences, especially since time-related matters were not simple.
Therefore, he thought the upgrade of the Panel was a good thing. With a new Mini World, there might be some pleasant surprises.
His first two Mini Worlds had already provided him with significant help.
In the Harry Potter world, he learned various types of Magic, gaining a basic understanding and laying a solid foundation in Magic.
In The Sorcerer's Apprentice world, he solved the problem of Eternal Life, obtained a Meditation Technique to infinitely enhance his Mage level, and learned a different system of Magic, deepening his understanding of the theory of Magic.
Now, with the upgrade, a third Mini World would appear, and he was genuinely looking forward to it.
Given the 400,000 Red Stars he had accumulated from the Chitauri Army invasion, if the new Mini World was good, he could spend more time there.
However, it's unclear how long it will take to upgrade the Panel.
August 31, 2012.
At the entrance of Midtown High School, Jerry, carrying a suitcase, looked at Has, Teacher Berry, and Aisha with some concern and earnestly instructed them:
"If everything is fine, I'll come home to see you guys on the weekends. Take good care of yourselves while I'm away!"
At Midtown High School, students can choose to board or commute.
However, to better focus on learning and researching magic, as well as advancing his knowledge in biology and for the convenience of daily activities, Jerry decided to board rather than commute.
In reality, he wasn't truly boarding in the school dormitory. He told Has and the others that he was boarding, but in fact, he bought a house outside the school to live in.
This meant that from Monday to Friday, he wouldn't be home.
With him away, Has, Teacher Berry, and Aisha would have to handle the household chores and meals on their own, which was the source of Jerry's concern.
However, Jerry believed that it was time to let go. He couldn't always be by Has and Aisha's side, and they would eventually need to learn to take care of themselves.
Besides, Teacher Berry had married Has, and it was time for them to experience a normal family life.
Moreover, there were two house-elves secretly helping out at home, so they wouldn't go hungry.
"Jerry, don't worry, focus on your studies. Dad is here, everything will be fine!"
Has patted his chest, making a promise.
In most families, parents worry that their children won't be able to take care of themselves when they start boarding at high school, but in their case, the situation was reversed.
"Big brother, you promised to visit Aisha every weekend, don't forget!"
Aisha had already thrown herself into Jerry's arms, sobbing.
Although Jerry often supervised her studies and kept an eye on her, the two had grown up together and had hardly ever been apart. When Has wasn't around, Jerry had always taken care of Aisha's daily needs.
So, in Aisha's heart, she was very dependent on Jerry.
This was why, although Aisha was known as a little tyrant at school, she always behaved like a child who never grew up in front of Jerry.
"Of course, I won't forget. You're starting middle school this year, so you can't be as lazy as before. Be a good girl at home, and call me if anything happens!"
Jerry patted Aisha's head and wiped away her tears.
Over the summer, Aisha had grown taller, though she was still much shorter than Jerry. She had transitioned from a little girl to a young woman.
However, since they spent so much time together, Jerry didn't notice the change much. In his eyes, Aisha was still that middle school girl.
"Alright, go back. I'll be fine from here!"
Waving goodbye to Has and the others, Jerry pulled his suitcase and walked into the school dormitory building with a group of students.
"Phantom Shift!"
In the boys' dormitory bathroom, Jerry vanished with a Phantom Shift and reappeared in a luxurious, well-decorated villa.
After putting his suitcase down, he pushed open the bedroom window of the villa. From there, he could see the Magic Villa nearby, with two Iron Eagles perched on the roof.
Indeed, the house he bought was another villa not far from where Has and the others lived.
Since he could Phantom Shift, it didn't matter where he lived. Being closer to home meant he could check in if anything happened.
He didn't live at home just for the convenience of his daily activities.
As for the school, he had already used magic to ensure that no one would accidentally discover his arrangement.
