"Is it because of the energy here?" Reiguanwang wondered aloud.
Naoki shook his head. "I'm not sure yet, but there's one more way to verify."
As he spoke, he turned his gaze to Reiguanwang and Spiritomb, who had finished eating the black carrot and was silently walking over, licking her lips.
Amidst Reiguanwang's puzzled gaze, Naoki asked, "I recall that you can use your psychic powers to control the aura of Spiritomb and Snow Rush, right?"
Reiguanwang nodded. "Yes, during the years I spent with my beloved Pokemon, my ability gradually merged with theirs."
"When I ride Snow Rush, I can use my psychic powers to condense the cold energy it generates. That massive ice spear you saw earlier was created by me. I call it 'Snow Lance.'"
"And when I ride Spiritomb, my spiritual energy merges with its body, enhancing its power. In an instant, it can produce countless will-o'-the-wisps and control them as they fall like shooting stars from the sky. I call this move 'Star Shatter.'"
Naoki nodded thoughtfully.
Snow Lance and Star Shatter were indeed Reiguanwang's exclusive moves when riding Snow Rush and Spiritomb, respectively.
And by 'psychic power,' Reiguanwang was referring to the psychic-type abilities she possessed.
"Now, I want to ask a favor of you," Naoki said. "Ride Spiritomb and use your psychic power to gather the ghost-type energy from its body and direct it into this field."
Reiguanwang immediately understood his intention and gave a slight nod. "Leave it to me!"
With that, Reiguanwang's figure flashed, and she used Teleport to appear on Spiritomb's back.
The union of the Pokemon and its rider transformed once again into the majestic sight of Reiguanwang riding the black horse.
The next second, Naoki saw a thin mist of purple emanate from Spiritomb and drift towards the field, merging with it.
"It's done," Reiguanwang announced.
Naoki nodded, pulled out the white carrot that had just grown, and planted a second carrot seed in its place.
Reiguanwang waved her left hand, once again activating her power to bless the crops.
A wondrous flash of blue light later, a familiar black carrot sprouted from the ground.
"Success!" Naoki thought. "So, it was the ice-type and ghost-type energies that were key to growing white and black carrots."
With this knowledge, he could confidently create experimental fields on the ranch.
By harnessing the ice-type and ghost-type energies of Snow Rush and Spiritomb, he could cultivate special fields dedicated to growing the black and white carrots that the two Pokemon loved to eat.
This way, they could enjoy their favorite vegetables even in the Padia region.
Upon suddenly hearing that Reiguanwang intended to take them away from the snowfield, Gouleston and Spiritomb widened their eyes, their faces filled with disbelief.
To them, this place held significant meaning.
In ancient times, Gouleston and Spiritomb reigned as the kings of Pokemon in the Crown Snowfield.
Later, humans intruded upon their territory, and the angry Spiritomb and Gouleston relentlessly attacked the humans and their Pokemon partners.
It was only after Reiguanwang appeared and they were defeated by Her that they formed a deep bond with Reiguanwang, becoming Her beloved horses, and together they ruled over this domain.
But now, Reiguanwang was planning to take them away from this place...
Sensing the thoughts of Her beloved horses, Reiguanwang said solemnly, "This place no longer belongs to us, and those humans who once revered us as kings are now lost in the annals of time."
Spiritomb and Gouleston blinked, still reluctant to leave.
Naoki spoke up, "Once we get there, I'll grow even more black and white carrots for you to enjoy."

"It's so huge!" Naoki exclaimed, looking up at the colossal tree as he rode alongside Reiguanwang. "How did it grow to be so big?"
Reiguanwang, graceful as always, replied as she gently raised her head to look at the pink giant tree, "It is this land that nurtured it."
Naoki was taken aback, "The land?"
Reiguanwang nodded slightly, "The land deeply loves each of its children and wants them to thrive. So, it nurtured this tree, and through it, all the life that dwells upon this soil."
Naoki: "..." This was beyond his comprehension.
Did the earth in the Pokemon world possess a will of its own?
Naoki pondered for a moment, thinking that Reiguanwang might be referring to the will of nature.
Just like how the Ever Grande Forest in the Kanto region bestows its blessings upon certain humans, granting them the power of the Ever Grande.
Or like in the Pokemon movie, "Pikachu and Coco," where Coco, to protect her father, Sarudor, manifested the Pokemon move, Jungle Healing, despite being a human.
Jungle Healing, Sarudor's signature move, allows the user to become one with the jungle and harness the power of nature to heal themselves and their allies.
Initially, Naoki hadn't understood, but now he realized that the forest must have recognized Coco.
The father-son bond between Coco and Sarudor had moved the will of the forest, earning its blessing and allowing Coco to borrow its power.
"What an idealistic world," Naoki mused to himself.
He recalled how Ash had died several times in the anime. The first time was in the movie "Mewtwo Strikes Back," where Ash was turned to stone by Mewtwo's attack.
But then, moved by Ash's selflessness, the Pokemon present shed tears, and with the ultimate weapon of "True Tears of Gratitude," Ash was miraculously revived.
As someone who had traveled from the modern world, Naoki found it hard to wrap his head around such concepts.
It felt no different from those cliche storylines where the protagonist shouts about "love" and "bonds of friendship," only to miraculously defeat an overwhelmingly powerful villain.
It was all too cringeworthy... Naoki thought.
As they traveled, they reached the shores of the lake surrounding Giant Tree Hill.
Spiritomb and Gouleston came to a stop.
Naoki and Reiguanwang dismounted, deciding to camp there for the night.
It was already 7 PM, and though it was dark, they could still make out the silhouettes of the wild Pokemon roaming nearby.
Undoubtedly, these were the Pokemon that Reiguanwang had mentioned, nurtured by the Giant Tree.
Naoki was awestruck by the beauty of this habitat, and his heart stirred as he watched the Pokemon frolicking on the land. His thoughts turned to the World Tree back at his ranch, and he asked Reiguanwang, "I also have a tree on my ranch that can grow incredibly tall. If it reaches its full potential, will it be able to nurture countless Pokemon like this Giant Tree does?"
Reiguanwang turned to him, "A tree?"
"I call it the World Tree," Naoki shared. "It's an extraordinary tree, but it requires ten thousand years to mature."
"World Tree..." Reiguanwang had never heard of such a name before. She pondered for a moment, then spoke, "If it's a matter of time, perhaps my power can aid its growth."
Naoki thought of the three riding goats that cultivated the World Tree. Each time they nurtured the tree, they looked as if their very essence had been drained, yet their faces always wore an expression of contentment.
If all went according to plan, Naoki wouldn't live to see the tree fully grown... but perhaps there was another way. He turned to Reiguanwang and asked, "It might consume a lot of your energy, though."
Reiguanwang's face softened into a smile, "What does it matter? You rescued me from the abyss, spread my name across the land, and provided me with the faith to withstand the harsh winters of the snowfield."
Naoki was deeply touched by her words, "Reiguanwang..."
Indeed, she was a Pokemon with a compassionate heart!
