Chapter 251: Super Sage Art: Heavenly Hand!
Chapter 251: Super Sage Art: Heavenly Hand!
The Toad Triplets, a well-known trio in the Ninja World, made their entrance. Accompanying them were numerous other toads, less famous but no less powerful than the triplet brothers.
Mount Myoboku responded swiftly. In a short time, when Hagoromo Otsutsuki looked again, his vision was obscured by a vast army of toads of various sizes and colors.
This was the foundation of one of the Three Great Dojutsu.
In terms of numbers, the trained toads couldn't compare to the ninjas of the Five Great Shinobi Villages. However, their individual strengths, honed through the practice of Mystic Arts, far surpassed that of ordinary ninjas.
At this moment, under Hagoromo's gaze, the natural energy of Mount Myoboku seemed to be boiling with intensity, and the radiance of Ninjutsu was shining more densely than ever before.
Compared to the might of Mount Myoboku, Hagoromo, who stood alone, seemed insignificant.
Many of the toads present shared this sentiment.
"That's Hagoromo Otsutsuki?"
"The one who was once renowned alongside the First Hokage and Uchiha Madara, and has now returned to life?"
"No matter who he is! He killed Elder Iwaza, and many of our companions, he must pay with his life!"
"Yes! Any intruder must die!"
". . ."
Mount Myoboku had enjoyed peace for over a millennium, and this was the first time an outsider had invaded and caused harm, even taking the lives of well-known toad experts.
Especially the Great Toad, Iwaza.
As the guardian of Mount Myoboku for centuries, his immense size was awe-inspiring. Even a being like Gamabunta would only be a mouthful for him, and his strength was evident to all.
Many toads didn't believe there was anyone in the Ninja World capable of killing him.
Yet now, the Great Toad Iwaza lay motionless, his breath stilled, behind Hagoromo.
The toads present were shaken, but their anger toward Hagoromo burned even hotter.
They firmly believed that no matter how strong the enemy was, they would only meet their end before the collective might of Mount Myoboku.
"Overconfidence will lead to the deaths of many toads."
Jiraiya, the most experienced toad among them, furrowed his brows slightly as he saw his companions' confident expressions.
If the information from Naruto was correct, this battle would not be an easy one.
With this in mind, Jiraiya stepped forward, ready to take command of the battlefield.
On the other side, as the focal point of all the toads from Mount Myoboku, Hagoromo scanned the massive toad army that had arrived but then turned his attention elsewhere.
At that moment, he was gazing into the distance.
With the power of his Rinnegan, he sensed that Kurama's chakra, instead of approaching him as he had expected, was moving deeper into Mount Myoboku.
In that direction, there was a peculiar force interfering with his perception.
It wouldn't be long before Kurama's chakra completely disappeared from his senses.
"Naruto isn't the type to desert a battle. So, have the toads of Mount Myoboku hidden him from me?"
Hagoromo frowned slightly as he thought.
Ever since he had stepped into Mount Myoboku and sensed the attitude of Elder Iwaza, he had been surprised by the mountain's treatment of Naruto.
Even if Naruto was their contractor, they shouldn't be protecting him to this extent.
Moreover, Naruto wasn't powerless; his true strength, if unleashed, far surpassed any of the toads present.
Such a powerful ninja, prophesized by Mount Myoboku to be the Child of Destiny, should have been on the current battlefield, fighting alongside the toad forces against him, instead of unreasonably leaving the battle and moving in the opposite direction.
Could it be that because of his overwhelming strength, Mount Myoboku had lost confidence and chosen to sacrifice themselves to buy time for Naruto's evacuation?
Were these toads so kind-hearted? Would they truly sacrifice themselves for the so-called Child of Destiny, for the future of the Ninja World? Hagoromo found this hard to believe.
During the battle against Kaguya Otsutsuki and her offspring, the Great Toad Sage, though he had contributed significantly, had only provided assistance from the shadows and had not actively stood alongside them in battle.
Like Pain's initial attitude towards Konoha, Yuyi Xuan Yue had not intended to cause too much trouble for Mount Myoboku. He had simply wanted to find Naruto, defeat him, and bring him back. After all, given Naruto's personality, Yuyi Xuan Yue had expected him to be the first to rush to Mount Myoboku and demand answers amid the turmoil.
But Naruto had done the opposite, and this unexpected behavior had put Yuyi Xuan Yue on edge. He was wary of this version of Mount Myoboku, which lacked Tsunade's exceptional 'mouth jutsu' but housed the Great Toad Sage, a being Yuyi greatly respected.
A pig that had lived for a millennium was not to be underestimated, especially one that had boldly faced the battle against Kaguya Otsutsuki and her offspring and survived for another thousand years.
To ensure the success of his mission to capture Kurama, Yuyi Xuan Yue made his move.
Soaring high into the sky, he declared, "Try to stop me if you can!"
Though unsure of Yuyi Xuan Yue's intentions, Gamabunta felt a surge of unease. He immediately rallied his comrades, shouting, "Water Style: Iron Cannonball Jutsu!" Large balls of water surged forth as Gamabunta disregarded his chakra expenditure, launching a barrage at the airborne Yuyi Xuan Yue.
The other toads, unsure of what was happening, followed suit.
"Fire Style: Flame Bullet!"
"Wind Style: Vacuum Bullet!"
"Fire Style: Oil Flame Bullet!"
An array of powerful ninjutsu streaked towards Yuyi Xuan Yue, only to be absorbed by his sealing technique before they could get close.
Empowered by external chakra and bolstered by his own vast reserves, Yuyi Xuan Yue prepared to unleash an unprecedented amount of chakra.
Backlit by the blazing sun, he stood proudly in the sky, looking down upon Mount Myoboku, including the residence of the Great Toad Sage where Naruto had ventured.
Yuyi Xuan Yue slowly spread his arms wide and, after a moment's thought, decided to pay homage to a classic. "Let me say something first," he said, his Rinnegan eyes narrowing. "Feel pain," he uttered softly.
In the next instant, a massive amount of chakra surged towards his Rinnegan.
Super!
Shinra Tensei!

(Re-reading Pain's destruction of Konoha, I realized that Tsunade's 'mouth jutsu' was no joke. When Pain was about to use Super Shinra Tensei, Konan was surprised and tried to dissuade him, citing the cost to his lifespan. Given their relationship, if the destruction of Konoha had been part of their plan, Konan wouldn't have reacted that way. So, the truth is clear: the Fifth Hokage, Tsunade, is the true 'culprit' behind Konoha's destruction! o)
