Chapter 250: The Headmaster of Hogwarts Beats Up a Professor!
Chapter 250: The Headmaster of Hogwarts Beats Up a Professor!
Everyone knew that Professor Forrest was acting strange today, or rather, he was in an unusually good mood.
During the break after the first class in the afternoon, many students encountered him in the castle. He seemed to have encountered some good news and, even when Professor Hilke, the new arrival this year, grabbed his arm, he still looked excited and eager to chat with everyone he knew.
"Have a great day!"
"May your life be happy and fulfilling!"
"May you be happy all your life!"
These were the three phrases he repeated the most. Every student he blessed was left puzzled, simply thanking him with a confused look.
Just as Silke was half-dragging Sherlock to the floor where the hospital wing was located, Snape, who had just finished his third-year Potions class, walked by, looking like a large black bat.
Sherlock, who was still waving his free arm around, saw him and his eyes lit up. He started waving and shouting from a distance.
"Hey, Severus! My old friend! It’s been so long!"
Snape heard Sherlock’s voice, his face remained cold, and he looked at him with a strange expression.
"What has he taken?"
As Silke was hesitating about how to explain Sherlock’s current state, Snape suddenly understood. A smirk appeared on his face, and he laughed sarcastically.
"So, you’ve had too much Joy Potion, have you? What do you want, Sherlock?"
Before he could finish his sentence, Sherlock struggled to pull his entire upper body close to Snape, draping his arm over his shoulder.
"Come on, buddy! Don’t be so cold. I know you’re a bit of a tsundere, but when you cried your eyes out in front of me, I took you out for a drink to comfort you! Be honest, say what you feel. Living with a double standard won’t make you happy!"
Snape, taken aback by the sudden intimate gesture, quickly snapped out of his daze and began to struggle fiercely.
"You fool! Who said I cried? Let go!"
Despite having recently intensified his physical training, Snape’s strength was still no match for Sherlock’s, especially since he was half a head shorter. Sherlock easily held him in a tight grip with one hand.
"Ah ha! You old geezer, still shy, are you? There’s no one else here, and I haven’t told anyone else about it." Sherlock’s face lit up with a sudden thought, and he blinked. "Oh! I think I might have mentioned it to Lily, telling her that the Snape who cried his eyes out in front of her window was actually you!"
Snape stopped trying to escape from Sherlock’s arm and instead went for his neck, his face turning red as he roared.
"You bastard!"
"Hey, hey, hey! I’m just trying to help you!"
"I’ll strangle you!"
"Ungrateful wretch! The old shut-in is beating up a professor! The Head of Slytherin is beating up a professor!"
After a chaotic struggle, Silke finally managed to pull Snape away from Sherlock.
If she had been a moment later, Snape would have been strangled to death by Sherlock. Sherlock’s condition was getting worse, and even in his current state, he was far stronger than Snape in a physical fight.
"You shameless old man! You’re using your position to bully me, aren’t you? I’ll complain to Dumbledore when he gets back! You stubborn tsundere! Bah!"
Even though he was being forcibly dragged forward by Silke, Sherlock didn’t forget to throw threatening words at Snape, as if he had almost been strangled to death just moments ago.
Snape stormed off in a rage, and it was anyone’s guess whether, after being single-handedly outmatched by Sherlock for the third time today, he would increase his exercise regimen once more.
After struggling to drag Sherlock another dozen meters and turning a corner, Silke finally managed to bring him to the Hospital Wing of Hogwarts.
Madam Pomfrey, the school nurse, frowned deeply at the sight of Sherlock’s current state.
"How did he end up like this again?"
In front of a professional doctor, Silke didn’t dare to hide the cause of Sherlock’s condition.
"Overuse of the Patronus Charm, resulting in a backlash of positive emotions."
Once in the Hospital Wing and free to move, Sherlock finally got his wish to hop and skip around, loudly singing the Hogwarts school song, which was rather embarrassing.
"Hogwarts, Hogwarts, Hoggy Warty Hogwarts! Teach us something, please, whether we be old and bald or young with scabby knees! Our heads could do with filling with some interesting stuff, for now they’re bare of any knowledge, just air, dead flies, and small stuff."
Madam Pomfrey watched Sherlock’s performance with a look of shock.
"How many Patronus Charms did he use? How could it be this severe?"
Silke, looking at Sherlock’s current state, was also deeply concerned.
"I’m not sure, but it must have been over two hundred."
"Two hundred! Are you joking?" Madam Pomfrey muttered, "You must help me control him. I need to examine his condition!"
Silke nodded and then grabbed Sherlock’s hand.
Although Sherlock continued to flail and dance, he obediently followed her to the examination room in the Hospital Wing.
Madam Pomfrey studied Sherlock for a long time, her frown fluctuating, before finally putting down her wand and sighing.
"Indeed, the overuse of the Patronus Charm is extreme. This is far beyond what a normal wizard can handle. Any other wizard would have gone mad by now, but Sherlock is merely experiencing an overflow of emotions."
She then looked at Silke with a serious expression.
"I don’t know what you were doing or why such an excessive use of the Patronus Charm was necessary, but his condition is very dangerous. I can see that he has already used a large amount of Sadness Potion to correct his emotions, but it hasn’t been enough to suppress them, causing even more intense backlash."
"If this becomes a regular occurrence, even with his superior mental strength, he will eventually reach his breaking point!"
Silke’s face remained calm, but her hands, hidden in the sleeves of her robe, were clenched into tight fists.
"I will keep an eye on him and make sure he doesn’t use such an excessive amount of the Patronus Charm again."
Madam Pomfrey shook her head in resignation.
"Watching him won’t be enough. Once he recovers, I will speak to him again. For now, he needs to take more Sadness Potion to suppress these emotions and prevent further backlash."
