Chapter 250: The Executive Meeting
Chapter 250: The Executive Meeting
As Donquixote Doflamingo spoke, Saggers hesitated for a moment before breaking into a smile. "I wasn't acting arrogantly after Whitebeard's death, but you sure are full of yourself now. What's this about? Are you giving up on the Seven Warlords of the Sea and aiming to compete with me as a Yonko?"
Doflamingo let out a peculiar laugh, but his thoughts turned to a towering, overwhelming figure that dominated his mind, causing a bead of sweat to form at his temple.
He turned his gaze to Moriah, standing next to Saggers, and said, "So, you've really joined them? I'm quite envious of that kind of power. It would be even better if you joined me."
"Hehehe, don't spout such meaningless words, Doflamingo," Moriah cackled.
"Hey, hey, hey, Dof," a sticky, unkempt man said as he sidled up to Doflamingo. The snot dripping from his face was about to land on Doflamingo's head. "Is this the Natural Disaster? He seems pretty formidable."
Doflamingo's expression changed. "Too close! Trebol!"
In addition to Doflamingo himself, there were three others. After Trebol moved away from him, Doflamingo chuckled lowly, "Perfect timing. Let me introduce you to my family executives. Well, Monet, make the introductions."
"Yes, young master," Monet said with a smile as she approached from the front. "This is Trebol, one of the top three executives of the Donquixote Family and our Club Executive."
"Nice to meet you all," Trebol said as he moved away from Doflamingo and waved to Saggers and the others.
This unkempt man was draped in an extremely thick blue blanket with round circle stripes. He leaned on a club-shaped cane and wore a pair of small sunglasses. Aside from the snot dripping from his face, even his beard resembled dangling snot.
Seeing this man, Lily frowned slightly, as she disliked such sticky substances.
"This is Pica, one of the top three executives and our Spade Executive," Monet continued.
Standing behind Doflamingo was a formidable giant of a man. He wore armor similar to that of a gladiator and a cross-faced helmet. The exposed bronze-colored muscles on his face resembled hard stone, and he had a stern, unsmiling expression.
"I am Pica!" a crisp, loli-like voice rang out from the giant's throat, causing Saggers to be visibly taken aback, though he maintained his composure.
While the contrast was quite amusing, this was a person's trait, and Saggers wasn't bored enough to laugh at someone else's characteristics, especially not as a professional.
This man was indeed a formidable male.
"Diamante, one of the top three and our Diamond Executive, as well as a frequent champion of the Corrida Colosseum," Monet introduced the final executive, gesturing to the man leaning against the pillar on the other side.
This man wore a fur-trimmed hat and a red cape, but his face was marked with two facial lines, and his attire resembled that of a native tribesman.
"No, no, no, Monet, you're overestimating me. It's all just luck," Diamante waved his hands repeatedly.
"But you are indeed a champion, and you are very strong," Monet said with a smile.
"Not at all, where am I strong? It's all luck, just luck," Diamante said, his face filled with embarrassment.
"Alright, then I won't mention it," Monet said.
"That's right, I am the champion! I am the strongest in the Colosseum!" Diamante declared proudly, lifting his head high.
"Kuhahaha, these are my family, my other executives are still downstairs. You'll meet them at the banquet, Saggers," Doflamingo laughed.
"Good, let's see how you fare as hosts in your territory! Lily, inform the executives that we'll be dining here tonight!" Saggers laughed heartily.
"Kuhahaha, if you want excitement, I won't let you down!" Doflamingo joined in the laughter.
They had arrived just before dusk, and two hours later, as night fell, more executives were summoned to the palace of Dressrosa. In addition to the Natural Disaster Pirate Crew, the executives of the Donquixote Family had also gathered.
In the banquet hall of the palace, a long table was set horizontally, adorned with exquisite dishes. On the left, at the head of the table, sat Doflamingo, his lips curled into an evil smile.
On the right, at the other head of the table, sat Saggers, gently swaying the wine glass in his hand and observing the bright red liquid within.
Along the length of the table, on both sides, the remaining seats were filled.
Lily sat in the first seat to Saggers' right, directly across from Trebol, the Sticky Sticky Fruit user.
In the second seat, Moriah sat across from Pica, the Stone Stone Fruit user.
In the third seat, Hawkins sat across from Diamante, the Wavy Wavy Fruit user.
And so on down the table, Maryka sat across from a man who wore a top hat, a long robe, and a round, circular glasses mask that covered his entire face.
Gladius, an executive of the Donquixote Family who had eaten the Bomu Bomu no Mi, also known as the Blast Blast Fruit, was present.
Saggers recalled that there used to be someone similar under Whitebeard's command, who also had the ability to explode. However, there were some differences.
That ability allowed the user to turn any part of their body into a bomb and detonate it, but Gladius' ability was more akin to a balloon bomb, causing things he touched to expand from within and explode.
Reinette asked a green-haired girl who resembled Monet and was apparently her sister, Sugar, whose Toy Toy Fruit ability was responsible for the toys all over Dressrosa. It was said that after consuming the fruit, her age and mental state were locked, though she was supposedly Monet's older sister.
Ulqui faced a skinny old man, Lao G, who was a master of the ancient Qigong, with the title 'Earth Elder Fist,' named after the style of martial arts he practiced.
This type of Qigong was quite interesting. It was said that the older the practitioner became, the heavier their punches, and their power seemed to be a combination of energy storage and outburst.
There was a hint of the Life Return technique, as well as a resemblance to the Dragon Breath Style that Saggers had mastered.
There were indeed many different martial arts styles on the high seas.
However, to Saggers, all of these techniques were insignificant compared to the Hokuto Shinken, which had corresponding advanced techniques for everything.
Aoki faced a man with otaku tendencies, dressed in an infant's outfit and sucking on a pacifier, Senior Pink, a swimmer fruit ability user.
As a giant, Stansen was the largest and took up the most space, but the long table was perfectly proportioned for his size. Seated across from him was a robust, mature woman with striking features, red and gold curly hair, triangle-framed glasses, and bright lipstick.
Her name was Joara, and she possessed the Art Art Fruit ability, which allowed her to transform her targets into works of art that she imagined, and even manifest her creativity into attacks. Once struck by this ability, the target could be transformed into an art exhibit piece at her discretion.
Sitting across from Bellamy was a stout, wrestling-like man with thick chest hair, Mahabays.
He was a Ton Ton no Mi user, able to change his weight at will, with his maximum weight reaching a staggering ten thousand tons.
Sitting across from Jiangbal was a man with prominent teeth, Donquixote Family marks on his teeth, and a helicopter propeller-like hairstyle, Buffalo.
He was a user of the Guru Guru no Mi, capable of turning any part of his body into a propeller and generating powerful gusts of wind like a typhoon, and he was also a rare flying ability user.
Paru was seated across from a maid-dressed, attractive woman, Baby-5.
She was a Weapon Weapon Fruit ability user, able to transform any part of her body into a weapon of her choice, be it a cannon, a gun, or even a missile.
Saggers was curious: if she could transform into a missile, could she become a nuclear warhead as well?
Sitting across from Miot was a young boy in a baseball cap, with cow horns on either side of his head, though his appearance was somewhat effeminate, especially with the hot pants and high heels he wore. His mouth was full of sharp, fish-like teeth characteristic of fish-people.
This was Drinker, a fish-human hybrid, a member of the Fish-Man race, also known as the Gyojin.
With the exception of a few key members, the upper echelons of both sides were present.
There were, of course, some individuals on both sides who were not present for various reasons.
Saggers had CP9 with him, though he didn't mind them learning about these details, as there were some specifics that they didn't need to know.
Similarly, Doflamingo had some executives that he preferred to keep out of certain loops.
However, the Donquixote Family executives couldn't help but feel a sense of pressure, especially with the exception of Moriah, the former Shichibukai, who was on a completely different level than them.
"This wine is excellent. Hehehe, I've had this before. It's from the dwarves, isn't it? Aside from Dressrosa, there's nowhere else to get this," Moriah commented with a chuckle as he savored the wine.
The wine had a rich aroma and a delightful, captivating taste that left one longing for more.
"Hehehe, you're quite knowledgeable, Moriah. Indeed, aside from Dressrosa, this wine is unavailable anywhere else. It's a product of the careful cultivation of the dwarves and their grapes," Doflamingo replied with a low chuckle.
"In that case, send me a few cases. As for the dwarves, they're quite interesting. I could recruit a batch of them," Moriah requested with a laugh.
"Have you prepared what I asked for?" Saggers inquired, turning to Doflamingo with a nod.
