"Weasley, I think you need to learn when to keep your mouth shut!" Snape waved his Wand, and a grayish-white beam struck Ron.
Ron suddenly found himself unable to speak, and Snape nodded in satisfaction before leaving.
Ivan mourned Ron's miserable fate for a moment, while also speculating about the progress of events.
The fact that Dumbledore didn't allow them to return to their dorms for rest indicated that the two missing girls had not yet been found, or that something else had happened in the meantime!
Ivan lay quietly in his sleeping bag, repeatedly pondering the series of events that had occurred after the Horcrux was lost, and eventually fell into a deep sleep.
The next day, the results of the search from the previous night spread, and Ivan found that the situation had once again surpassed his expectations.
One of the two low-year girls who didn't attend class had been attacked and was in a coma, and was sent to the hospital wing.
The other, a second-year Slytherin girl, was still missing and was presumed to be temporarily absent.
Upon hearing this news, Ivan felt increasingly uneasy. It was now almost certain that the Horcrux was in the hands of this Slytherin girl.
In the morning, he had secretly used the Marauder's Map to check, but found no trace of her name anywhere in the school. This meant two possibilities.
Either the girl was hiding in a place like the Chamber of Secrets, or she was already dead.
After absorbing the life force of at least three people, Ivan speculated that Tom Riddle's power must be nearing resurrection. This Slytherin girl might be expendable to him, and it wasn't impossible that she had been abandoned.
In terms of strength, Ivan was not afraid of this sixteen-year-old Voldemort. The memories between the Horcrux and the main body were not shared, which meant that when Tom was resurrected, his power would be far from that of his main body.
During their previous discussions and research on various Spells, Ivan had roughly determined that Tom Riddle's Spell level was around five, not significantly different from his own.
With the enhancement from a few magical items and two special Blood Magic techniques, Ivan believed he could have a decisive victory.
The only thing he needed to consider was how to find Tom's whereabouts.
Ivan tried to analyze the common points among the victimized girls, hoping to find some clues, but he found nothing.
They were from different houses, of varying ages, and he had even specifically asked if they had any interactions, but there were none.
Ivan frowned in thought while eating lunch in the Great Hall.
Due to the spread of the search results, many young Wizards were discussing the attack from the previous night, speculating that the missing Slytherin girl was the Heir of the Chamber of Secrets.
More people were anxious, fearing that they might be the next to be attacked.
George and Fred took the opportunity to create a Protective Charm, which they claimed could effectively repel attacks. It sold very well, and most girls were willing to wear one.
After lunch, Ivan checked his schedule and saw that he had two Defense Against the Dark Arts classes in the afternoon.

Ivan opened the System list in confusion and was surprised to see that he had gained a point of Legendary Points. Looking at the task bar, he realized that one of his tasks had indeed changed status.

Task Objective: Tom Riddle directly or indirectly teaches a Defense Against the Dark Arts class

Task Description: Although the Dark Lord completed this task on his own, your reward will not be reduced in any way.
Ivan looked at the mocking task description and gritted his teeth.
"Lockhart, it's you?!"
Ivan was very confused. Lockhart was clearly in the Great Hall yesterday and shouldn't have had the opportunity to attack those girls.
Unless... Ivan thought of a possibility and took out the Marauder's Map, finding Lockhart's name. He discovered that Lockhart had not gone to the Great Hall on the first floor after class but had been heading upstairs instead.

Seeing Lockhart's name disappear into the entrance of the Chamber, Ivan put away the Marauder's Map and tightened his grip on his Wand.
However, Ivan didn't notice that shortly after his gaze shifted from the map, a name he was very familiar with appeared in a corridor on the eighth floor of the castle.
