Chapter 246: Impossible to Spawn a Wizard Power
Chapter 246: Impossible to Spawn a Wizard Power
October 21, 2024
The name "White Bone" may sound simple, but it is a mid-tier innate ability—one of the renowned innate Abilities in the Dark Throne’s wizard world.
In Andreu’s original plan, it was already quite good for the native wizards of the Star Alliance to advance to the wizard level, with most of them possessing lower-tier innate Crystals.
After all, the Starlight Continent, whether in terms of energy particle concentration or resources, was insufficient to support their advancement to wizard level with mid-tier innate Crystals.
But reality slapped him in the face!
The innate Abilities displayed by these two wizards of the Star Alliance were far from just lower-tier; they were at least mid-tier!
Moreover, they were among the top in the mid-tier innate Crystals. Otherwise, their power would not be so formidable!
Indeed, it was so.
Xie Man and Cole constructed precisely the mid-tier innate Crystals.
They were even the lower version of 'Liquid Metal.'
Su Nan used the Magic Core as the original model and synthesized innate Crystals of different tiers, placing them in the exchange list for apprentice wizards to redeem.
From the lower-tier 'Magic Silver,' the mid-tier 'Flow Silver,' to the higher-tier 'Silver Star,' covering all tiers, each with varying degrees of power reduction.
Despite the exchange list featuring many innate Crystals, including the Dark Throne’s 'White Bone' and the Starfall Association’s 'Falling Star,' most of the third-tier apprentice wizards chose 'Magic Silver' and 'Flow Silver' out of reverence and admiration for Su Nan.
Xie Man and Cole similarly chose the mid-tier 'Flow Silver.'
As for the higher-tier 'Silver Star,' no one had chosen it yet, deterred by the super-high difficulty of constructing a higher-tier innate Crystal model.
Even the mid-tier 'Flow Silver' was a notch above 'White Bone.'
"Where did the Star Alliance get their mid-tier innate Crystals from?"
Andreu was inwardly alarmed.
Mid-tier innate Crystals were generally well-known, and the top mid-tier ones were universally recognized.
But in his memory, he had never seen or heard of the mid-tier innate Ability before him.
Could the Star Alliance have created a new mid-tier innate Crystal model?
Andreu found it hard to believe.
Even for a True Spirit Wizard, creating a mid-tier innate Crystal model from scratch was no easy feat!
What alarmed him even more was the power of the two before him.
By now, he was certain that these two were also first-tier Liquidation Wizards like him!
"Damn it, this is the Elemental Wasteland Plane, why can it cultivate first-tier Liquidation Wizards, and not just one but two!"
Andreu was both shocked and enraged.
What was more alarming was that these two were entirely different from the weaker native wizards he had expected, not only possessing mid-tier innate Abilities but also mastering a wide array of spells, any of which were not inferior to his own.
Clearly, these were wizards who advanced during the Elemental Wasteland era, yet their strength and foundation were no less than those from a large wizard faction.
Faced with the combined assault of two wizards of equal power, Andreu quickly found himself at a disadvantage, barely managing to hold on.
At this moment, Cole suddenly retreated, the silver on his body fading away like receding water, restoring his original skin tone.
Immediately after, he flicked his wrist, and a pitch-black spearhead materialized in his palm.
"It’s over!"
Cole clenched his fingers, and a pitch-black light burst through the gaps between his fingers, rapidly forming a two-meter-long black spear!
Sensing the terrifying energy contained within the black spear, Andreu’s face turned pale.
"A wizard tool!"
This guy actually had a wizard tool!
When the wizards left the Star Light Continent, they surely did not leave any wizard tools behind. Where did the Star Alliance get a wizard tool from?
He didn’t even have a wizard tool!
Wait a moment!
Andreu suddenly realized that the wizard tool seemed eerily similar to the Dark Thunder of the Dark Throne!
Could it be a wizard tool based on the Dark Thunder?
The more he looked, the more he felt it was eerily similar, and his heart was filled with shock.
What was the Star Alliance’s background? First, mid-tier innate Crystals, and now a wizard tool. How could a native wizard organization have such a foundation to develop so many treasures?
Andreu felt as if he was about to go mad. Since entering the Star Light Continent, every event had been more bizarre than the last, defying all logic.
The initial sense of superiority upon entering the Star Light Continent had long vanished, replaced by a deep sense of shock and unease.
Before he could think more, Cole had already hurled his hand and hurled the black spear forward.
Accompanied by a deafening sonic boom, a black lightning bolt tore through the air, carrying an overwhelming force, charging at him!
Shocked, Andreu could only manage to form layer after layer of bone shields in front of him, protecting himself.
Boom!
The black lightning struck the bone shield, instantly shattering the first layer. The second and third layers followed in the blink of an eye, and the multiple bone Shields crafted by Andreu, consuming a great deal of mental energy, were shattered to dust!
He could only watch helplessly as the black lightning tore through the sky and struck his body.
As the pitch-black thunderbolt suddenly exploded, the layers of energy particle shielding, magical barrier, and enchanted items crumbled and disintegrated, sending waves of excruciating pain surging through his body!
Boom!
High above, it seemed as if there was a thunderclap!
By the time the black thunderlight dissipated, Andrew was already unconscious, falling to the ground.
Xie Man was prepared, using the Mage Hand to catch Andrew.
"Got him!" Xie Man grinned.
Kore’s lips curled into a smirk, collecting the black lightning.
Once the energy particle concentration in the Starlight Continent returned to normal, recharging the mage artifacts would no longer be an issue.
After using them for four to five days, they could be fully recharged.
"Caught this guy, the contribution points are enough to exchange for two to three years of high-level practice room usage."
"I prefer to exchange for a Soul Crystal potion."
As they were talking, their expressions suddenly shifted, turning their heads to see two figures materialize in midair, clearly the Secret Doll maiden of the Hunt Mage legion.
Seeinglyly the Starlight Mage Tower, Xie Man smiled faintly, using the Mage Hand to toss the unconscious Andrew over.
"Hand it over to you, take him back to the restricted zone."
In the study of the Starlight Mage Tower, Liz sat behind the desk, eyes closed in meditation, until Attil walked in, then she opened her eyes, her face calm.
"How is it?"
"My lord, Xie Man and Kore had just captured a Dark Throne Seat mage before the Hunt Mage Legion arrived. They were already on their way, delivering the unconscious."
Liz smiled faintly, "Those two kids are quite proactive."
Atil grinned, "Xie Man and Kore just ascended to mages not long ago, so they’re full of energy, enough to do their best."
Liz glanced at Attil with a half-smile, "No need for you to remind me, I won’t fall behind their efforts, I’ll credit them with their contribution, and it will be added to their contribution points."
Revealed by Liz, Attil laughed a bit sheepishly, nodding in agreement.
Liz then turned the conversation, "How about the investigation results?"
Getting down to business, Attil’s expression turned serious, speaking solemnly, "According to the Eye of the Star, in the past day, the Starlight Continent experienced fourteen unrecorded energy particle fluctuations. Two reached the level of a second-tier mage apprentice, eight reached the level of a third-tier mage apprentice, and only four reached the level of a first-tier mage."
"I already dispatched the Magic goon the energy particle fluctuations to the nearby Magic Statues. The Hunt Mage Legion is also on their way, and with the teleportation arrays, they should arrive soon."
Liz nodded in satisfaction.
The Eye of the Star’s judgment on the target’s power level is entirely based on the intensity of the energy particle fluctuations and does not necessarily reflect the target’s true strength.
For example, if a mage only casts zero-level spells, the intensity of the energy particle fluctuations might only reach the level of a second-tier mage apprentice, and in the Eye of the Star’s monitoring, it would only meet the standards of a second-tier mage apprentice.
However, it doesn’t matter. With the power of the Star Alliance today, let alone a dozen first-tier mages, even a hundred would be crushed by the Star alliance.
Aurora City.
This was once the capital of the former Aurora Empire.
After the Aurora Empire was conquered by the Radiant Empire, Aurora City was incorporated into the imperial territory.
Seven hundred years later, all traces of the Aurora Empire were nearly obliterated from this city, and the residents only knew the Radiant Empire, taking pride in their imperial citizenship.
Once a bustling and peaceful city, it now erupted into a fierce battle.
On one side, a group of massive skeleton-like creatures, resembling humans, wrapped in dirty red cloth, only exposing their pale bone arms, with abnormally large and powerful limbs. Their fingers were as sharp as claws, capable of freely extending and even piercing through enemies' bodies up to seven or eight meters without stopping.
Unfortunately, their opponents were the unyielding steel golems, even adamant golems.
Sharp and lethal bone claws could only leave a shallow gouge on steel golems. If it were adamant golems, not even a scratch could be left.
On the wide street turned into a battlefield, Milton overlooked the carnage below, his brow furrowed.
The Dark Throne Seat’s Bone Claw Legion was renowned throughout the multiverse, conquering countless planes.
This invasion of the Starlight Continent, he used secret seals to carry two hundred bone claws, believing they would suppress any nation. Unexpectedly, just the defense of a city was enough to challenge his Bone Claw Legion.
"So those two hundred steel golems are fine, but those seven adamant golems are clearly enchanted and bound by magic, not even a third-tier mage apprentice could forge them, let alone a full mage!"
"The Starlight Continent produced a full mage?"
Milton found it hard to believe.
He was well aware of how harsh the environment of the Starlight Continent was, even with the concentration of energy particles rising over the past few centuries, it still wasn’t enough to support the emergence of wizards.
After all, the Starlight Continent suffered from extreme resource scarcity.
Yet the facts before his eyes told him that this was indeed happening.
Milton immediately realized that something unexpected might have occurred on the Starlight Continent.
He had intended to find a noble lord to inquire about the situation, but before he could act on that thought, a group of magic Constructs had surrounded him upon entering the town.
More Magic Constructs were still streaming in, and Milton could see from the sky that a dense wave of dark constructs, accompanied by numerous human knights riding black leopards, toward him, some of whom were riding black leopards.
With Milton’s keen eyesight, he instantly recognized that the black leopards were puppets.
However, what surprised him even more were the shimmering silver patterns adorning the human Knights.
"Magic Runes!"
Milton’s eyes twitched slightly.
Only a powerful wizard faction with vast resources would equip their knights with Magic Runes.
Could a wizard faction have emerged on the Starlight Continent?
This thought made Milton shake his head in disbelief.
The soil of the Starlight Continent couldn’t possibly support the emergence of a wizard faction!
"A mage faction arising from an elemental desert? This is sheer nonsense!"
Milton shook his head to clear his thoughts and narrowed his eyes.
"I need to quickly deal with these Magic Constructs and capture the noble Lord of this town to interrogate. I'm starting to wonder what has transpired on this continent over the past millennium."
Despite the unexpected strength of the Glittering City’s forces, Milton wasn’t concerned.
Just Legendary-level puppets and human knights, even if they numbered in the tens of thousands, they were nothing to him.
However, just as Milton was about to act, he suddenly vanished from his spot, reappearing a hundred meters away. Raising his hand, the ring on his forefinger flashed, and dozens of pale, sharp bone Spikes formed in the air, shooting out like arrows, striking the spot he had just occupied.
Thud! Thud! Thud!
The void, though seemingly empty, resounded as if the Bone Spikes had struck an invisible object, producing a series of muffled sounds.
The air warped, and a figure slowly emerged.
Spikes struck out, a tall figure cloaked in a long robe, with exquisite features.
Her body was enveloped in an invisible Force Field.
"Wizard!"
Milton’s expression darkened, not expecting to encounter a wizard so soon.
Is this the creator of those Gold-Infused Magic Constructs?
"Who are you?" Milton asked sternly, intending to Extract Information.
However, the girl only gave him a cold Glance and attacked without a Word.
Silvery, shimmering Metal Fluid Erupted from her, forming Numerous Silver Cones that rushed toward MiltonSilverMilton Coldly smiled, He Used His Talent,: Pale Bones Rapidly Formed a Giant Bone Shell around himself, Shielding the Silver Cones.
Thud! Thud! Thud!
The Sharp Silver Cones Created Fist-Sized Craters on the Bone Shell, but the Bones Quickly Regenerated to Fill the Holes.
Milton’s Eyebrows Raised, a Hint of Contempt in His Eyes.
"An Indigenous Wizard, weaker than a typical Wizard, with Abilities Not Even Reaching the Standard of a Novice."
With a Cold Laugh, Milton Sprang Forward, Instantly Appearing Beside the Girl, Forming a Giant Bone Mouth with Sharp Teeth, Attacking.
The Girl Sidestepped, But Was Bitten on Her Left Shoulder, Her Entire Arm Vanishing.
Milton Smiled in Satisfaction, but Then Stared in Shock, Eyes Fixed on the Silver Liquid Flowing from Her Wounded Arm.
"OrichSilver!"
"You're Not Human!"
Milton’s Face Pale.
He Never Expected to Face a Puppet!
This is a Wizard-Level Puppet!
Milton’s Back Chilled.
While a single Wizard-Level Puppet Was No Threat, the Implications Were Alarming.
Only a Second-Tier Wizard Could Create a Wizard-Level Puppet!
The Starlight Continent’s Environment Couldn’t Support aSecond-Tier Wizard!
But the Wizard-Level Puppet Before Him Was Undeniable.
More Importantly, If She Can Create Wizard-Level Puppets, There Might Be More on the Starlight Continent!
As if to Confirm Milton’s Suspicion, a House Below Crumbled, Releasing a Swarm of Black Tentacles Carrying Violent Energy Waves Toward Milton!
In an Instant, the Bone Giant Was Submerged by Countless Black Tentacles!
