Chapter 243: Planar Cluster
Chapter 243: Planar Cluster
October 20, 2024
Above the Dragon Forest, the Rose stood hundreds of meters in the air, overlooking the dense treetops below.
A sea of lush green stretched out as far as the eye could see, a breathtaking sight.
Seeing this, the Rose felt her heart lift and the years of seclusion were instantly swept away.
"Roar!"
At that moment, a deafening roar suddenly echoed through the forest.
The roar carried an intimidating pressure that sent shivers down the spines of anyone who heard it.
The Rose immediately recognized it as a dragon's roar, her expression changing.
"I heard that the chaos dragons in Zone 2 have started evolving. Several have already evolved into full-fledged dragons. This must be one of them."
Curious, the Rose moved toward the source of the sound, finding a menacing dragon pacing through the forest. The enormous head swiveled from side to side, as if searching for prey.
The dragon was massive, its height estimated to be over fifty meters. Its body was covered in copper-red scales, shimmering with a cold, metallic sheen in the sunlight.
It still bore the appearance of a chaos dragon, but now it appeared more menacing and terrifying. Even with the scales covering its limbs and torso, the muscle lines were clearly visible, radiating explosive power.
Then, a streak of light suddenly shot from afar, stopping beside the Rose.
The light faded, revealing the figure.
"I was wondering if Lord Starfall called for the meeting, and you wouldn't come out. As expected, you did."
The Rose glanced at him, surprised. "You've advanced?"
The figure's smile deepened, nodding. "Just broke through recently."
"Congratulations." The Rose secretly admired.
Besides Lord Su Nan, the figure was the second to reach the liquid stage in the Star Alliance.
"Energy particle concentration on the Starlight Continent keeps increasing. Everyone is progressing faster, and I see you won't be far from the liquid stage soon."
The Rose smiled faintly. "Then I'll take your words to heart."
The figure looked down at the dragon. "That must be the newly evolved one."
The Rose nodded. "It evolved from the chaos dragons, now called the Flame Rage Dragon."
"Flame Rage Dragon?" The figure glanced at the sparks flashing between the dragon's teeth, understanding. "It awakened the fire dominance after evolution. That name fits well."
The Flame Rage Dragon had already noticed the Rose and the figure, growling lowly, its cold, vertical pupils scanning over them before turning away.
Seeing this, the figure marveled.
"Before, I heard that Lord Su Nan created a method to control dragons. I was skeptical, but now it's true."
Unlike other dragons, seeing someone standing above their head, they would be proud and wouldn't back down, yet this dragon obeyed.
The Rose's eyes flashed with awe.
Taming a dragon was something they never dared to imagine, only Lord Su Nan could achieve such a feat.
A roar suddenly echoed from afar, accompanied by a powerful pressure that made everyone catch their breath.
The Rose gazed into the distance, seeing a massive black shadow flash through the forest, but it vanished quickly.
"It's Lord Su Nan's magical beast." The figure immediately guessed the identity of the black shadow, his face showing amazement. "I heard that Xie Man and Cole collaborated, but were defeated."
The Rose heard this for the first time, surprised. "So powerful? It must be close to the liquid stage by now."
Xie Man and Cole, with outstanding talents and Lord Su Nan’s care, had more resources than other wizards, thus advancing quickly. Together, even a first-stage liquid wizard couldn’t defeat them.
"Indeed." The figure sighed. "Lord Su Nan's magical beast are stronger than these dragons."
The Rose secretly admired, suddenly rising the idea of taming a sub-dragon as a magical beast, then training it to become a full-fledged dragon.
After a while, seeing it was time, the two flew toward the Starlight Wizard Tower.
Upon entering the meeting hall of the tower, they found over twenty wizards gathered.
The figure glanced around, noticing that besides Lord Su Nan, the Star Alliance’s sixteen wizards were all present.
Seeing the figure and the Rose, everyone exchanged greetings.
In the midst of casual conversation, someone brought up the topic of the traveling wizard.
"That traveling wizard is such an unlucky fellow. He was teleported to the Starfall Continent and now he's trapped here."
"Such a low-probability event, and he encountered it. His luck is truly poor."
"What is he doing now?"
"He's been exploring all over the Starfall Continent. I heard he's currently in the Rainbow Sea."
"I met him before. He was completely wrapped up, I wonder why?"
"That's because he was affected by the Shadow's assimilation, his appearance has changed significantly, and he covers his face and figure to avoid frightening people."
Fakado said the last sentence.
Hearing this, Qianwei was surprised, "How do you know?"
"I chatted with him once," Fakado said with a smile. "He was being pursued by a Night Shadow Giant Insect in the Shadow Realm and never had a chance to escape. He stayed there for quite a while, so he was affected by the Shadow's assimilation. But he should recover over time."
Everyone was enlightened.
Just as they were chatting, the main door suddenly opened, and a secret maiden entered, holding a book in her hands.
Countless fine, long beams of light emanated from the book, weaving to form Lize's figure.
"Lord Starfall!"
All the wizards present stood up in Respect.
Although Lize was just a Shadow Soul, she was a Level Two Wizard in her lifetime and highly regarded and trusted by Lord Su Nan. In the entire Star Alliance, she was Second to None and above ten thousand, and no wizard dared to be lax with her.
"Everyone, please sit."
Lize took her seat at the head of the table and gestured for everyone to sit down.
After everyone was seated, she spoke calmly.
"I've gathered everyone here today for an important matter."
All the wizards present were curious. What could be so Important to convene all the wizards of the Star Alliance?
"Based on my observations and those of Lord Su Nan, the planar barrier's complete restoration is approaching. It's estimated to be around 150 years, or the year 2000 of the Starfall Calendar, when the planar lock on the Starfall Continent will be lifted."
As her words fell, everyone present looked pleased.
They had been eagerly awaiting the restoration of the Starfall Continent, so they could resume their normal cultivation.
Moreover, the Starfall Continent could engage in trade with other planes, gaining more resources, which would greatly benefit their strength.
Among the crowd, only the elder Wand and Fakado remained calm.
If this were the only matter, Lord Starfall wouldn't have convened everyone. There must be more to it.
Sure enough, Lize's expression turned serious, and she spoke solemnly:
"Before you get too excited, the lifting of the planar lock is indeed good news, but it will also bring danger."
Everyone was taken aback, and someone subconsciously asked, "What danger?"
Lize said calmly, "External invasion."
The words struck, and everyone looked at each other, somewhat puzzled.
"I believe you all know about the wizards' expedition to the Multiverse a thousand years ago. If the planar barrier is fully restored and the Starfall Continent returns to normal, do you think those wizards would want to regain control of the Starfall Continent?"
Lize's words made the atmosphere suddenly heavy and solemn.
Fakado asked with a grave expression, "Lord Starfall, have you received any intelligence?"
Lize gave him an appreciative glance and nodded slightly, "We have confirmed intelligence indicating that one of the Multiverse Wizard Powers, the Shadow Throne and the Wilted Council, are eyeing the Starfall Continent with great interest. Especially the Shadow Throne, they have long been prepared and will immediately send troops to invade the Starfall Continent once the planar barrier is near restoration."
To emphasize her words, Lize added:
"All this intelligence comes from Lord Su Nan."
Given Su Nan's unparalleled prestige in the Star Alliance, and knowing it came from Lord Su Nan, no one doubted, and they all furrowed their brows in worry.
Although they had never left the Starfall Continent, through the ancient texts left by the wizards from a thousand years ago, they knew the vast Multiverse contained more than one wizard power, most of which were far stronger than the Star Alliance.
Suddenly learning they might face these powerful wizard factions in the future, they were deeply concerned.
"Lord Starfall, what level of power are the Wilted Council and the Shadow Throne in the Multiverse?"
"The Shadow Throne is a top-Tier Wizard Power, ranking solidly in the top ten of all wizard powers. The Wilted Council is slightly weaker but still ranks in the Second Tier."
"Where does our Star alliance rank in the grand scheme of things?" a curious wizard asked.
"Barely third-rate," Lizze said indifferently.
She wasn’t hiding anything; this was the decision made after discussing with Su Nan.
The wizards present would eventually learn about the multiverse, so hiding the truth would only create resentment. It was better to be honest and let them prepare mentally.
After Su Nan advanced to a Second-Class wizard, the Star Alliance already met the minimum standard for a qualified wizard faction.
In terms of overall strength, they were among the top tier of subpar factions, barely touching the tail end of the third-rate.
Compared to the Withered Council and the Dark Throne, the gap was significant.
Hearing Lizze's words, everyone’s expression grew heavier.
If that was true, they had no chance of winning, did they?
Taking in the changes in everyone’s demeanor, Lizze calmly said:
"You needn’t worry. Before the dimensional barriers are fully repaired, the Dark thrones can’t dispatch too many forces to invade the Starlight Continent, making it manageable."
"After the barriers are fully repaired, we can trade with other wizard factions, exchanging resources for protection. There are plenty of factions in the multiverse who are willing to trade with us."
Hearing this, everyone’s tension eased.
As long as there was a plan, they wouldn’t be at a complete loss.
"In short, I hope everyone is prepared."
"The future of the Starlight Continent will bring great changes. Whether these changes are disasters or opportunities, it all depends on you."
Everyone’s expression grew solemn, and they nodded in agreement.
When the wizards left, Attil came out of a side room, his expression tinged with a hint of worry.
"Lord Starfall, is it honest and public, right?"
Lizze said indifferently, "Hiding is pointless. It’s better to prepare them early, so they won’t panic when things truly happen."
"Besides, some have been slacking in their training recently, which is a good opportunity to reignite their motivation."
Attil nodded thoughtfully and agreed, not saying more.
Lizze asked, "Where is Tanner now?"
"He went to the Rainbow Sea," Attil replied.
Lizze nodded.
Just recently, she had made a small trade with Tanner, exchanging puppets and construct potions for over a dozen Frost Shadows and valuable intel.
Indeed, a true adventuring wizard, he knew the coordinates of many hidden dimensional clusters and rare intel, even Su Nan was impressed.
Lizze was now contemplating how to get more valuable intel from Tanner.
For example, some uncharted coordinates of dimensional clusters!
By definition, a dimensional cluster consists of one or multiple main dimensions and numerous subdimensions.
Main dimensions have more complete dimensional rules, higher energy particle concentration, and richer resources.
On the dimensional hierarchy, they also have a hidden dominance over sub dimensions.
Thus, different factions or intelligent races within a dimensional cluster often wage wars for control over the main dimensions.
Once a main dimension is controlled, sub dimensions become mere possessions.
Therefore, wars between dimensional clusters often aim to occupy each other's main dimensions.
The multiverse is actually composed of many dimensional clusters and a few isolated dimensions.
Like the Starlight Continent, it isn’t part of a dimensional cluster but is an isolated dimension.
Large factions like the Deep Blue Alliance and the Wise Canon control at least one dimensional cluster.
For the Star Alliance to grow into a large wizard faction, it isn’t enough to control just the Starlight Continent. They must conquer a dimensional cluster in the future.
To be proactive, Lizze planned to start with coordinates from Tanner, and once the Star Alliance had enough strength,, the dimensional clusters, they could initiate conquest wars.
With construct potions, she wasn’t concerned about Tanner’s reluctance to trade.
After all, the coordinates of dimensional clusters held less significance for a traveling wizard, making resource exchange more practical.
