After the Killing Curse failed, Jerry had used an Illusory Double to lure Black Dwarf to the edge of the building, while his real body hid nearby using a Disillusionment Charm.

When Black Dwarf was distracted by the Illusory Double, Jerry launched a full-strength Repelling Charm, blasting Black Dwarf off the rooftop.

Like Hulk, Black Dwarf was a tough opponent with thick skin and a lot of endurance. Rather than getting entangled with him, it was better to remove him from the battlefield.

Besides, there was still the more formidable Ebony Throat to deal with.
