"What, you want me to stop?!" Before White Serpent could finish, it felt a heavy weight on its head.

"Just before the missiles struck, White Serpent emitted a white light, and Shaohua had a green glow protecting her. It must be some mysterious force. She might be fine", Lin Nuoyi whispered, her eyes gleaming.

"Retreat!" White Serpent shouted urgently, its voice echoing through the mountains.

It could have avoided the missiles with its awakened senses, but Shaohua had pinned it down, forcing it to endure the attack.

"Did I say you could leave?" Shaohua stomped down again, pressing White Serpent's massive head into the scorched earth.

White Serpent could feel its skull cracking, its skullcap nearly shattered.

"You're being too harsh!" White Serpent's voice lost its coldness, even sounding a bit aggrieved.

It hadn't done anything and was already being beaten.

Shaohua jumped off its head and said, "Since you haven't made a grave mistake, let's call it a day?"

"Alright." White Serpent responded, feeling helpless and desperate.
