"I activate a face-down card."
Yuxuan calmly flipped another face-down card.
"Continuous Trap Card - Meishen's Waterfall," explained Yuxuan, "As long as this card is on the field, neither player can send monsters from their hand to the graveyard!" (Original Card)
Jaden stared at the card, deep in thought for a moment. Then, his pupils contracted, and his mouth slowly opened.
"What?!?" Jaden exclaimed, "Not being able to send cards from my hand to the graveyard means..."
"That's right," Yuxuan said with a slight smirk, "I'm sorry, Jaden, but it looks like you still can't perform your Hand Fusion."
The spectators, who had just been praising Jaden's excellent countermeasures, fell silent.
After a few seconds, Hayato spoke up, "Well, Jaden is Jaden, but Yuxuan is Yuxuan after all."

"As expected," You Xuan commented, unsurprised.
"A hero deserves the grandest stage," Jaden proclaimed, "Now, fight! 'Elemental Hero Flame Wingman', attack 'Chaos Sorcerer'!"
Flame Wingman twisted in mid-air, enveloped in scorching flames, diving from the pinnacle of the skyscraper, backlit by the moonlight, like a fiery meteor delivering a blazing kick.
"The effect of Skyscraper increases the ATK of 'Elemental Hero' monsters by 1000 points during damage calculation when they battle an opponent's monster with higher ATK!" (Original Effect)
In the physical card game, this effect was weakened to only activate when the 'Elemental Hero' monster attacks, but in the original story, it triggered regardless of whether it was a direct attack or a counterattack, and it had saved Jaden from harm more than once.

The flames erupted, almost in You Xuan's face, but at the last moment, a shield materialized out of thin air, deflecting the fiery blast away and sending it cascading along the shield's surface.
"Huh?" Jaden's eyebrows furrowed in surprise.
"Counter Trap Card, Damage Polarization Shield," You Xuan explained, "Negate the effect that inflicts damage, and then both players draw a card from their decks."
You Xuan drew a card.
"Don't be so hasty, the outcome of this duel is still uncertain."
"Haha, you're right about that," Jaden acknowledged.
Jaden drew a card as well, but he remained confident.
"Although I can't predict the outcome yet, I might just be the one to win in the end."
"Oh?" You Xuan chuckled softly, "In that case, I'll have to look forward to it."
Jaden glanced at the card he had just drawn, then swiftly played the rest of his hand, placing three cards face-down on the field. "End turn."
