"If fusion is prohibited, then my fusion magic will be useless," the Tenth said, glancing at You Xuan's Continuous Trap Card. He scratched his head with a smile. "Oh dear, this is quite a headache, You Xuan."
You Xuan returned the smile. "Well now, it seems your signature fusion summon won't be of any use. What will you do now, Tenth?"
"Hehe, who knows? We'll just have to play it by ear," the Tenth said with a grin. "If you think my hero only relies on fusion, you're sorely mistaken. I summon 'Elemental Hero Wildman'!"

"Then I equip Wildman with his exclusive equipment magic, 'Boomerang Whirlwind'!" the Tenth declared. "Equipped monster's attack increases by 500!"

"Even without fusion, the combination of my hero and magic can match the strength of an upper-level monster. And Wildman is unaffected by any trap effects, making him the perfect hero for this duel. Go, Wildman! Take down 'Gun Soldier'!"
The wild Elemental Hero roared and threw his boomerang, which spun with a whirlwind force, slicing through the Gun Soldier and causing it to explode.

"Well done, we've equalized," the Tenth said. "End of turn."
"My turn, draw," You Xuan said. "During the preparation phase, I activate the effect of 'Take Over 5' in the graveyard. By removing this card and a card with the same name from my deck from the game, I draw one card."
After drawing, he immediately played the card he had drawn.
"Magic Card 'Greed Jar', draw two more cards from the deck."
Two more cards were banished from his graveyard, causing a golden light to flash.

The Chaos Sorcerer brought his palms together, creating a maelstrom of light and dark magic power that engulfed Wildman, obliterating him in the resulting shockwave.

The Tenth raised an arm to block the impact and declared, "Nice try, You Xuan, but the 'Boomerang Whirlwind' equipped to Wildman has another effect! When this equipped card is sent to the graveyard, all magic and trap cards on the field are destroyed, and your opponent takes damage equal to 500 points for each card destroyed!" (Original effect)
In its physical card form, this card's effect had been modified. Now it could only be triggered when the equipped monster was destroyed by a card effect, and the effect damage had been reduced to just 100 points of damage per card destroyed, making it significantly weaker than the original version.

A black mist swept through the arena, taking the form of the dark god, Anubis. The boomerang thrown by the Wildman was swallowed by the black mist and crushed into smithereens.

"Additionally, after applying the effect of Anubis's Curse, I can destroy one of your opponent's monsters and inflict damage equal to the destroyed monster's original ATK points."
You Xuan paused, then chuckled softly. "However, since the Wildman on your field was already destroyed in battle, you have no monsters left, so this effect cannot be triggered. What a shame."
The black mist dissipated, along with the image of the Anubis god. At the end of the battle, the 'Fusion Lockdown' field spell remained in effect.
"Hey, it looks like breaking through Yu Xuan's defenses won't be that easy after all," the Tenth said with a smile, "I'll have to come up with something else."
You Xuan continued, "I'll Special Summon a monster from my hand in face-down defense mode and set two more face-down cards. End of turn."
"My turn, draw!" the Tenth declared, "I activate the Magic Card, 'Pot of Greed,' and draw two more cards from my deck."
With another accelerated draw, the Tenth quickly scanned his hand, and a new strategy seemed to form in his mind.
"I Normal Summon 'Elemental Hero Clayman'!"

Even Marufuji Sho was taken aback by this move: "Clayman in attack mode?"
Who is he planning to take down with that?
"Then I activate the Equip Magic Card, 'Clayman Armor'!" the Tenth explained, "A magic card exclusive to the 'Elemental Hero Clayman'! It can only be equipped to 'Elemental Hero Clayman'!" (Original Card)
A transparent protective membrane enveloped Clayman, resembling a transparent protective shell, although his attack and defense values remained unchanged.
"Next, I activate the Magic Card, 'Horse Bone's Bargain' from my hand!" the Tenth continued, "By sending monsters from my field to the graveyard, except for Effect Monsters, I can draw two cards from my deck.

Clayman, along with his protective layer, turned into specks of light and vanished, after which the Tenth drew two cards.
"Huh?" Marufuji was even more confused, "Won't that mean he's essentially losing an extra Equip Card?"
"You may be the Tenth's sidekick, but you don't know his deck at all," Mr. Mitzawa, the ace commentator, gave him a strange look.
Marufuji: ". . ."
As expected, the Tenth smiled and explained, "When 'Clayman Armor' is sent from the field to the graveyard, I can send any one Magic or Trap Card on my opponent's field to the graveyard."
"I see!" Marufuji finally understood.
Mr. Mitzawa stared at him blankly.
As if saying, "Dude, you're so clueless."
"Therefore, according to the effect of 'Clayman Armor,' I send 'Fusion Lockdown' to the graveyard!"
A shadow of Clayman appeared, and with a hefty arm, it signaled "rise." A vortex appeared on You Xuan's field, sucking in the Trap Card, which then disappeared without a trace.
