Judai drew a card and immediately drew another from his hand.

Judai searched his deck and pulled out a card.
"I add 'Elemental Hero Bubbleman' to my hand. Then, I Normal Summon Bubbleman in face-down defense position!"

It was a Greed Wanting beginning, and Judai immediately drew two more cards.
"Then, I activate the Magic Card 'Take Over 5' to send the top five cards of my deck to the Graveyard." (Original card)
An anime-original card and one of Judai's regulars. Blindly sending the top five cards of your deck to the graveyard and then, next turn, drawing 1 card by removing this card and a card with the same name from your deck—its performance was incredibly powerful.
Youxuan smiled strangely at the sight of this card, narrowing his eyes: "That card, huh? Interesting."
"My turn is over," Judai said with a smile. "I've dueled with all sorts of guys this semester, and quite a few of them were tough. But the one I most wanted to face was you, Youxuan."
He glanced at the cards in his hand, his deck.
"To be honest, your duels always give me a lot of inspiration, Youxuan. I feel like I've learned a lot and gotten a lot stronger, but I also feel like only a duel with you will truly validate that."
"Interesting," Youxuan smiled. "I feel the same way."
For him, dueling Judai was also the best test of his progress this semester.
"My turn, draw!"
Youxuan said in a deep voice.
"I will activate this card as well."
With a wave of his hand, the image of a magic card appeared before him.
"Magic Card 'Take Over 5'! Send the top five cards of my deck to the Graveyard!"

Whenever Judai was about to summon one of his stylish heroes or showcase his mighty boss monsters to the audience, he always wore that eager expression.
"Here it comes!" Judai exclaimed, holding up a card, "I activate the spell card 'Polymerization'! Come forth, my Elemental Heroes!"
You Xuan smiled.
"Sorry, Judai, but that won't do."
"Huh?"
"Since we're going all out, it would be a bit disrespectful to not make some adjustments to counter your strategy." You Xuan said with a smile, "So, I've specially prepared this card—
—Continuous Trap, 'Fusion Prohibition Zone'! As long as this card is on the field, neither of us can perform a Fusion Summon during this duel!"
Judai took a sharp breath.

No Fusion Summons!?
The audience couldn't help but stir at this unexpected turn of events.
Those who knew Judai were aware that he primarily used a Hero Deck composed of low-level monsters, and his powerful boss monsters were mostly Fusion Monsters. Banning Fusion Summons would effectively seal away most of his deck's strength.

In the anime, Mitsuru Mizawa only banned the spell card "Polymerization." However, Judai's deck also included field spells like "Gate of Fusion" and "Miracle Fusion," which allowed him to Fusion Summon from the graveyard. Even if Fusion Summons were restricted, he still had various other methods to perform them.
But 'Fusion Prohibition Zone' was different; it directly prohibited Fusion Summons themselves. Whether it was 'Gate of Fusion' or 'Miracle Fusion,' this trap card rendered all of them useless in one fell swoop.

He said with a cheerful smile.
