Chapter 23: Back to Mini World
Jerry dragged the heavy Steel Armor Model, preparing to deliver it to Hass’s room, when he looked up and saw Elsa standing on the sofa, eyeing the Steel Armor Model in his hands with a mischievous grin.
"Don’t even think about it, or Dad will be mad!"
Jerry issued a helpless warning.
Elsa huffed indignantly.
"I don’t even want that old hunk of metal. My Crystal Magic Wand is way more powerful!"
She waved the wooden stick in her hand, which was embedded with a massive glass bead.
Elsa’s mother had passed away early, and Hass was often busy with cases at the police station, so it was mostly Jerry who raised her.
Whenever Jerry gave a warning, Elsa, despite her reluctance, would always listen.
"By the way, Jerry, Annie and Susan said they’re coming over to play today!"
"Annie and Susan? Great, those two little freeloaders!"
Jerry rubbed his forehead.
Annie and Susan were Elsa’s classmates and childhood friends. Their fathers were Hass’s colleagues at the police station, and they all lived in the same neighborhood, so the three families were very close.
When Elsa’s mother died, Jerry was two, and Elsa was one. Thanks to the help of Annie and Susan’s mothers, they didn’t suffer much.
Once Jerry was old enough to take care of himself and Elsa, he rarely bothered the other families for help.
However, Annie and Susan often came over to play with Elsa during holidays and, of course, to enjoy Jerry’s homemade Chinese dishes.
"You stay here and watch TV. I’m going to catch a nap!"
Last night, Jerry had stayed up late earning Little Red Stars, and he had woken up early this morning. He needed to get some rest before the other two little girls arrived.
Otherwise, with the three of them together, it would be much harder for him to get a peaceful nap.
"In the farthest reaches of the frozen wasteland, the Ice Demon God awakens to the call of Ice Queen Elsa. Black blizzard, freeze all in your path! — Frost Freeze Wave!"
"Eternal Hellfire, answer the call of Flame Queen Annie. Burn my enemies and purify all sin! — Purifying Fire!"
"Omnipotent Wind Spirits, heed the will of Wind Queen Susan. With the sky as your bow and light as your arrow, pierce the void! — Hurricane Arrow!"
Two hours later, Jerry was woken by the sound of several young voices outside his room. He knew Annie and Susan had arrived.
Sure enough, when he opened the door, he saw the three blonde girls standing on the sofa, each holding their Wands and casting powerful spells at each other.
"Good morning, Jerry!"
Annie and Susan waved their Wands excitedly when they saw Jerry in the living room.
"Stay focused, or your magic will falter, and you’ll lose to Elsa!"
Jerry replied sternly.
Annie and Susan nodded seriously and immediately lifted their Wands to cast their spells at Elsa again.
Jerry smiled with a fatherly warmth and went to the kitchen to start preparing lunch.
Aside from himself, who ate more due to his daily exercise, the three girls didn’t need much. A simple dish of sweet and sour pork and a plate of scrambled eggs with tomatoes would be enough.
After lunch, the three girls started watching cartoons together, then took a nap. Jerry, after digesting for a while, went down to the park in the neighborhood.
During the holiday, if there were no other plans, he would always practice basic techniques like punches, kicks, footwork, elbow strikes, knee strikes, throws, and joint locks in the neighborhood.
Sometimes fighting isn't that complicated. Mastering these basics, combined with control over strength, speed, and reaction time, can handle most situations.
In the evening, after spending some time watching TV with Elsa and Hass, Jerry returned to his room to start a series of strength training exercises, including push-ups, sit-ups, and dumbbell lifts.
At midnight, he was awakened by the alarm he had set in advance. Carrying the Wizard Outfit he had obtained the previous day, he quietly left the building and resumed his journey to earn Little Red Stars.
A month passed in the blink of an eye.
In the morning, after Hass left for work, Jerry, unusually, did not go back to sleep. Instead, he stayed in the living room to watch cartoons with Elsa.
Though his eyes were on the TV, his attention was focused on the peculiar Panel in front of him.
After more than a month of effort, he had accumulated over six thousand Little Red Stars. The symbol for entering the Mini World on the Panel had also lit up again.
This meant he could finally return to Harry Potter's Mini World to study magic.
Over the past month of nightly excursions to earn Little Red Stars, Jerry had many unique experiences. These experiences made him eager to return to the Mini World and learn more magic.
First, sneaking out at night was always nerve-wracking. He had to avoid cameras and security guards, feeling like a thief. Once, he even ran into Hass, who was up for a midnight stroll.
Second, not having a personal vehicle was incredibly inconvenient. Especially now, he had gained some fame in the neighborhood. After rescuing someone, he sometimes found fans chasing him for photos and autographs.
One journalist named Lucy stood out. She seemed to know his general activity area and would often wait around with her camera.
This made it very difficult for him to go out and earn Little Red Stars recently.
What frustrated him the most was that his good deeds didn't seem to be recognized by the police. Sometimes, if he didn't run fast enough after a rescue, the police would chase him in their cars.
Once, he even ran into Hass on night duty. To avoid being recognized, he had to use his Superhuman Form to quickly escape.
You see, with his magic improving, the power of his spells had grown. Now, he could easily subdue criminals with magic alone, without needing to activate the side-effect-inducing Superhuman Form.
In summary, to earn Little Red Stars more efficiently, he needed to go to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry to learn more useful spells.
And he had to figure out a way to bring a flying broom next time!
With over six thousand Little Red Stars, he could study at Hogwarts for two months.
However, if he frequently used the "Brain Booster" function, he might not last two months. He would need to find a way to earn some Little Red Stars within the Mini World to supplement his supply.
"Enter the Harry Potter world!"
Sitting on the sofa, Jerry no longer hesitated. He focused his mind and clicked the enter button on the Panel.
The entire world entered a state of stasis!
