Chapter 229: The Weasley Brothers' Mysterious Gift
Chapter 229: The Weasley Brothers' Mysterious Gift
Harry had many questions, and Dumbledore patiently answered them all.
Not long after their conversation began, Kyle found Madame Pomfrey and requested to be discharged.
Madame Pomfrey was a bit reluctant, but after checking Kyle thoroughly and finding no issues, she eventually agreed.
After leaving the school hospital, Kyle glanced at the soulless Snuffles and, with a smile, pulled out a handful of sparkling gem fragments from the Transfigured Lizard's leather bag, scattering them across the courtyard.
They were just Fire Crab gems, and he had some too.
To make the map appear more valuable, after learning the Mind Lock Spell from Newt's trunk, Kyle had specifically visited the Fire Crab's nest and collected numerous gem fragments.
Although they were slightly smaller than the ones Dumbledore had shown him, he had gathered a substantial amount.
Especially in that instant when he scattered them, the gem fragments glittered in the sunlight, resembling stars and shining brightly like the Philosopher's Stone.
Snuffles' eyes regained their sparkle, and as soon as Kyle released him, the little creature eagerly rushed out to pick up the gems on the ground.
Kyle sat beside him, propping his chin on his hand, and glanced up at the direction of the school hospital.
Kyle wasn't surprised that he had failed to obtain the Philosopher's Stone; in fact, this was the normal situation.
After all, it was the very item that could give Voldemort a new body and bring him back to life, and Dumbledore would never let it out of his control.
What surprised Kyle was that Dumbledore agreed to help him expand the trunk.
To be honest, he hadn't held much hope, but Dumbledore had only hesitated for a moment before agreeing directly.
It could only be considered an unexpected gain.
With this, Kyle wouldn't need to modify the trunk anymore, saving him a lot of time.
Kyle had originally planned to use the Seamless Expansion Charm to further increase the trunk's space over the next two months... The thought of continuously casting the spell was incredibly dull.
Soon, Snuffles finished collecting all the gems and returned to Kyle's side.
When it came to finding things, Snuffles was an expert; not only did he leave no gem fragment behind, but he also managed to dig out two Knuts from some corner.
However, he still seemed a bit unhappy until Kyle transfigured a leaf on the ground into the appearance of the Philosopher's Stone and handed it to him, after which the little guy became delighted.
In a way, Snuffles was still easily pleased.
...
When Kyle returned to the castle, he encountered Fred and George, who were about to leave, each holding a beautifully wrapped large box.
"Kyle?" Fred seemed a bit surprised. "We were just about to visit you."
"How did you recover so quickly?" George asked, puzzled.
"I was fine to begin with," Kyle explained. "Going to the school hospital was just a formality; the one with the real issue is Potter."
"Oh, what a pity..."
George looked down at the box in his hand. "We also prepared a gift for you..."
"But it's the same if I give it to you now," Fred said. "Go ahead and open it to see if you like it."
Pity?
Is that even human language?
Kyle looked at them expressionlessly, not taking the item Fred offered.
It wasn't his first day knowing Fred and George, and seeing their serious expressions, he knew without a doubt that there was no way anything good was inside.
How did they know I was in the school hospital?
Kyle changed the subject.
"In fact, it's not just us..."
Fred realized they couldn't fool Kyle, so he took the box back, intending to give it to Harry later along with George.
"It's all over Hogwarts," George explained. "Quirrell wanted to steal the Philosopher's Stone, but he was discovered by a few brave young wizards. They overcame numerous obstacles and ultimately stopped him."
"Kyle, you borrowed the Marauder's Map to go to the Underground Classroom, didn't you?"
Fred's eyes lit up. "The Three-Headed Dog... the moving Magical Chessboard... Death Eaters... Fiendfyre... Merlin's Socks! This is richer than all our experiences combined over the past decade."
"You really should have taken us with you!" George added, a hint of resentment in his voice. "Even our little brother, Ron, was involved, but not us..."
"Next time, definitely next time," Kyle assured them, waving his hand dismissively.
Fred and George couldn't shake the feeling that Kyle was just placating them.
"Alright, you have to take us with you next time," George insisted. "Otherwise, your Christmas gift every year will be just a quill, and the cheapest one at that."
"And that's a promise," Fred added.

"That's just too much," Kyle said, shaking his head with a smile.
Fred and George soon left to visit Harry and deliver the gifts they had carefully prepared.
After they left, another group of people surrounded Kyle... They had also heard about the incident in the Underground Classroom and were eager to know more details.
Kyle finally managed to get away from these curious young wizards.
But when he arrived at the entrance of the Hufflepuff Common Room, he was surprised to find that people were waiting for him there, too.
"I knew you'd want to return to the dormitory," Hermione said. "So I came here early to wait for you."
"There were too many people, and we couldn't get in," Ron muttered.
Hermione glared at him disapprovingly.
"Alright... What do you want to know?" Kyle sighed. "But make it quick; I really don't want to repeat all that again."
"How is Harry...?"
"How did you get through those challenges...?"
They asked simultaneously.
"Potter is doing well," Kyle replied, turning to Hermione. "When I returned, he was talking with Dumbledore. If you want to visit him, you can go now, but Madame Pomfrey might not agree."
"As for those challenges..." Kyle turned to Ron, "With the right approach, they aren't difficult to overcome. Take the key challenge, for example; you can use the Whomping Willow or the All-Unlocking Key to open the door directly. There's no need to catch those keys."
"Oh..." Ron whimpered. They had been proud of finding three brooms, but Kyle told him it wasn't necessary.
"What about the Magical Chessboard...?" Ron wanted to say more, but Hermione interrupted him.
"Don't ask, Ron," she said anxiously. "Kyle could definitely get through those challenges. We need to hurry to the Hospital Wing to visit Harry. If too many people go, Madame Pomfrey won't let us in."
"You're right, I almost forgot," Ron agreed.
The two thanked Kyle and hurried off towards the Hospital Wing.
