Chapter 229: Returning to the Marvel Main World (Second Update)
Chapter 229: Returning to the Marvel Main World (Second Update)
The Guardian Spirit has no vital points; its body is composed entirely of white light.
Although its physical defense is low, as long as more magic power is input, even if it is beaten to a pulp, it can quickly recover.
"Next, let's test the attack power!"
Jerry controlled the Guardian Spirit to fly up, instantly catching up to Norbert in mid-air, and punched it in the stomach.
"Roar!"
Caught off guard, Norbert let out a loud cry and was sent flying several dozen meters away, barely managing to stabilize itself by flapping its wings.
Listening to Norbert's mental reaction, Jerry knew that the half-strength punch from the Giant Guardian, while not injuring Norbert, had definitely caused pain.
If he had controlled the Giant Guardian to use full strength, Norbert might have been sent flying even further.
"Alright, you're done for now. I'll have Sun Long add two roasted goats for you tonight!"
After completing the tests, Jerry dismissed Norbert with a wave of his hand. He then picked up the machine gun and rocket launcher, starting a new round of tests.
Once all the tests were completed, Jerry couldn't help but exclaim:
"No wonder Andros is called invincible; this Giant Guardian is really quite impressive!"
After the final test, Jerry discovered that as long as he didn't die and his magic power didn't run out, the Giant Guardian wouldn't die either.
Even if it was reduced to pieces by continuous rocket launcher bombardment, as long as Jerry input magic power, it could quickly recover.
The flying speed, due to its large size, wasn't particularly fast, but it was comparable to a regular flying broom.
In terms of strength, it might not match the Abomination and Hulk that Jerry had seen before, but it was still considerable.
Moreover, he could move his consciousness into the Giant Guardian's body, just like a magic dragon, gaining the Giant Guardian's perspective and controlling it to fight and speak.
Harry Potter World.
June 14, 1992, midnight.
A boy around 1.75 meters tall, with an extremely handsome appearance, was drifting through the notoriously dangerous Forbidden Forest.
He wore a loose wizard robe, moving at a leisurely pace, but his expression was remarkably calm, showing no fear of the forest's darkness.
This person was none other than Jerry, who had been at Hogwarts for a year.
In that year, Jerry had grown significantly, making him look more like a fifth or sixth-year student rather than a second-year one.
After all, he was nearly fifteen years old, and the ages of fourteen and fifteen are when boys grow the most rapidly.
"This flight spell is barely mastered. At this speed, it's not very practical, but it does look impressive!"
Jerry looked at his slow pace and sighed, reflecting on the recently acquired flight spell, which was indeed a bit underwhelming.
However, this was mainly because he had just learned it. With more time and practice, the speed would improve significantly, though it would never match the Nightmare.
"Found it!"
After drifting for a while, his eyes suddenly lit up. He cast a Disguise Charm and moved to the right.
About two hundred meters to the right, on a large tree trunk, he saw an Acromantula the size of a carriage, quietly lying there, either asleep or waiting for prey.
Slowly rising above the Acromantula, Jerry cast a stunning spell to knock it out, then picked it up and placed it in his Box Space.
The main purpose of his visit to the Forbidden Forest was to capture several dozen Acromantulas for a contract.
Acromantulas, as dangerous as Fire Dragons, may not match the latter in raw power, but their intelligence rivals that of humans and can even learn human languages. This is precisely what Jerry values.
Whether it's the powerful Fire Dragons, the swift Nightmares, or the twelve robot soldiers he awakened with the Enlightenment Charm, none of them are truly intelligent.
The intelligence of Fire Dragons and Nightmares is no different from that of ordinary beasts. The robots awakened by the Enlightenment Charm, while capable, still fall short of true intelligence. They are more like advanced forms of artificial intelligence.
Have you ever seen a truly intelligent being remain motionless like a stone carving on a school wall for a thousand years? Or a chess piece that can offer advice to the player but never leaves the board?
True intelligent beings have emotions; they can feel sad, hurt, lonely, and empty. These are qualities that items awakened by the Enlightenment Charm lack.
This is a realization Jerry has come to recently.
He believes that the effect of the Enlightenment Charm is similar to artificial intelligence created by technology, with the only difference being that one is created by magic and the other by technology.
However, Acromantulas are genuinely intelligent. Aragog, the king of the Acromantulas, refrains from eating humans out of gratitude for Hagrid's care, and even prevents his descendants from harming Hagrid.
His ungrateful offspring, on the other hand, will aid the Death Eaters in their attack on Hogwarts at Voldemort's promise.
Jerry believes that subjugating a group of intelligent, speaking Acromantulas as his subordinates will significantly benefit his future plans.
With the combination of a flight spell, a Disguise Charm, and a Sleeping Charm, capturing Acromantulas is not a difficult task for Jerry, given his current magical prowess.
In about an hour, Jerry stealthily incapacitated thirty-five Acromantulas.
Feeling that he had reached the limit of Fantastic Beasts he could contract with, he returned to the Slytherin dormitory.
The end-of-year banquet had just concluded, and the school was about to break for the summer holidays.
After a year of use, his Little Red Stars were nearly depleted.
Therefore, after the holiday, he planned to end his time in the Mini World and return to the Marvel main world.
The next day, Jerry packed his things and, as he did the previous summer, boarded the Hogwarts Express with the other young wizards to return to London.
At King's Cross Station, he bid farewell to Harry, Hermione, Ron, and his Slytherin classmates before heading to the Leaky Cauldron and booking a room.
When Tom, the owner of the Leaky Cauldron, saw Jerry, his face lit up with a smile, the wrinkles around his eyes forming like a chrysanthemum.
Jerry's arrival meant a potential influx of Galleons for Tom.
That evening, Jerry opened his diary, and a line of text quickly appeared:
"When do you plan to go to the Albanian Forest, where there is a treasure left by Slytherin?"
"The Witch's travel application is still under review. Once it's approved, we'll set out!"
After replying, Jerry closed the diary, placed it on the table, and tapped the return button on the panel.
