As soon as Jiang Dong and Zhang Fuyan arrived at the train station, they borrowed the station's phone to call Jiang Xia and let her know they had arrived safely in the capital city.
After a four-day, three-night train journey, sharing a compartment with a woman and her sick child heading to the capital for medical treatment, they had hardly gotten any rest. The child was uncomfortable and cried day and night, so Jiang Dong and Zhang Fuyan took turns helping the woman care for the child.
The woman appeared to be in a dire financial situation, eating only one steamed bun for three meals a day, lacking proper nutrition and milk. The child cried even more due to hunger.
