Chapter 222: Chiro's Extraordinary Journey
Chapter 222: Chiro's Extraordinary Journey
In the dead of night, a figure in a black robe stealthily approached the fourth floor, avoiding Filch's patrol.
Ever since his encounter with Lord Voldemort in Albania, Chiro's once mundane life had taken a dramatic turn.
He now had a new purpose—to aid Lord Voldemort in his resurgence.
If he succeeded, he could attain a position he had never dared to dream of.
He could replace Bartemius Crouch, the man who had once looked down on him, as the new Minister of Magic's Law Enforcement Director, or even more ambitiously... the Minister of Magic himself!
This was not an impossible dream.
Although he wasn't the first Death Eater to join, if he succeeded in stealing the Philosopher's Stone and aiding Lord Voldemort's resurrection, he could surpass them all and become the greatest contributor.
What about Bellatrix and Sirius Black? They were famous, but what good did that do?
Where were they when Lord Voldemort needed help the most? In Azkaban.
Now, the only one who could assist Lord Voldemort's resurgence was Chiro, Kylinas Chuo! What right did those others have to compete with him? Did they think being a Dementor's snack gave them an edge? Moreover, Lord Voldemort had promised that if he helped with the resurrection, he would gain unparalleled power and immeasurable wealth.
And most importantly... immortality!
As Chiro stared at the old wooden door before him, a sudden flush of embarrassment crept across his face.
Once he passed through the challenges set by the professors, power, wealth, and status would all be within reach!
Throughout the academic year, he had discreetly gathered information, and he now had a good understanding of the challenges, except for Professor Snape's.
The most troublesome obstacle, the Three-Headed Dog, had been dealt with using a Dragon Egg.
To be honest, it wasn't easy. Ollivander had been under intense scrutiny from the Ministry of Magic for magical creatures since last year.
Chiro had nearly exhausted his resources, paying ten times the market price to acquire the Dragon Egg from a European wizard.
Although he felt like a fool, it was worth every Galleon if it meant obtaining the Philosopher's Stone.
Now, Dumbledore was lured to London with a letter, and Professor Snape was searching the Forbidden Forest for a non-existent Death Eater.
Everything was progressing according to his plan, and no one could stop him now!
Chiro conjured a massive harp and cast a spell, causing it to play soothing music. With trembling hands, he pushed open the door.
"Sleep, big guy, have a good rest..."
Chiro froze as he opened the door.
The room was empty, not a trace of the Three-Headed Dog, not even a single hair.
"Did I get the wrong room?"
Chiro stepped out, puzzled, and looked around.
This was the right place... he remembered the stone statue with an axe across the way; he couldn't be mistaken.
"You fool, don't waste time here!"
Suddenly, another voice spoke from within Chiro's body.
"Please forgive me, Master."
Chiro dared not linger and quickly entered the room.
But when he saw the unprotected trapdoor, he felt a pang of regret.
All those Galleons he had saved for over a decade... if only he had known, he wouldn't have bought that Dragon Egg.
"Hurry up!" Lord Voldemort urged again. "What are you waiting for? Dumbledore could return at any moment!"
At the mention of Dumbledore, Chiro shuddered and hastily opened the trapdoor, jumping down.
Chiro had thoroughly investigated and was confident that the Devil's Snare planted by Professor Sprout could easily hold him.
Furthermore, dealing with the Devil's Snare was simple; a Lumos spell would do the trick.
Chiro was certain of his plan.
However...
"Thud!"
With a dull thump, Chiro found himself sprawled on the hard floor.
"Ouch... my leg... my back... my waist..."
Chiro curled up on the floor, groaning in pain. The fall was brutal, and he felt a tearing sensation throughout his body.
"Damn it, Sprout actually dared to deceive me!" Chiro raged internally.
Just as he was about to explain, he suddenly heard Lord Voldemort's angry roar!
"You fool, get up! Do you want to die here?!"
Chiro instinctively lifted his head and noticed a pile of round objects in front of him... they looked like kale? Who would grow kale here?
As he was thinking, one of the "kales" rolled forward, revealing a mouth full of sharp teeth!
Then another... and another...
Chiro's face turned pale instantly.
He remembered that these were Mandrakes... a dangerous plant as notorious as the Venomous Tentacles. When in close proximity, two Mandrakes could kill a fully grown wizard.
There were dozens of them here...
In this moment, Chiro felt the world's greatest malice.
"Sprout... you deserve to die!"
"Ahhhhh!"
The next second, Chiro's agonizing screams echoed through the room.
The scream was filled with anger, resentment, and fear, piercing the air.
...
"Hmm?"
At the end of the room, Kyle, who was studying the Erised Mirror, suddenly looked up and asked with confusion, "Did you just hear something?"
No one responded.
It was normal, as the room only had him and Niffler, who was looking into the mirror.
"What did you see..." Kyle walked over and asked.)
Niffler was startled, and with a look of fear, he took a few steps back, and his small hands instinctively covered his pockets.
"You're being unreasonable..." Kyle said, turning away: "It's like I'm always taking your things."
Niffler huffed twice.
"Just that one time, okay? You remember it till now, and you were holding someone else's stuff back then. I was just returning it to its owner."
Niffler turned away, ignoring Kyle.
It was Niffler who found it in the first place.)
Seeing its reaction, Kyle shook his head with a hint of amusement: "You've had enough fun, it's time to come back."
The sound he heard earlier was probably not an illusion, and it seemed that Chiro, or rather, Voldemort, would be here soon.
At this moment, Niffler couldn't stay outside any longer.
However, Niffler didn't move, remaining vigilant and watching Kyle.
"Don't worry, I won't take your things." Kyle said seriously: "And soon, a bad person who loves Niffler sandwiches will be here, and he especially loves little Nifflers like you, not even a year old..."
Niffler's eyes widened, and it quickly jumped into Kyle's arms, opening the box and crawling inside.
