Chapter 218: The Things You Couldn't Do Six Years Ago, You Won't Be Able to Do Now—[Monthly Ticket Bonus Chapter]
"President,"
Hearing the words from the high-ranking Mechanical Stellar Envoy of the Ironcrown Family, a Stellar Envoy from the Steam Branch narrowed his eyes and glanced sideways at Liam, the branch’s division head, quietly inquiring about his Will.
After a moment of silence, Liam furrowed his brow. A faint purple ripple of Stellar Energy emanated from his body as he stepped forward, slowly approaching the Ironcrown Envoy.
"My people are still inside. Wait until they come out before you enter."
Though Intelligent Mechanism Class units were generally cold and unfeeling, they knew how to read the room—and how to size up their opponents.
Faced with a Catastrophe-tier powerhouse, even the weakest among the upper-tier Catastrophes, the Ironcrown Family’s senior Mechanical Stellar Envoy, Ivan, had no choice but to show respect.
"Fine."
With that reply, Liam immediately pulled out his Data Terminal—its surface shimmering with dark golden engravings.
This Catastrophe-level device instantly activated its full transmission capacity. In a flash, it pierced through the Steam Furnace’s unique data firewall, delivering Liam’s command directly into the Quantum Space, reaching every single Steam Branch Association Stellar Envoy.
"Units, stand by for Will! Evacuate immediately—repeat, evacuate!"
"Yazuka! The President has ordered a full retreat!"
The second squad captain shouted urgently toward the furious Yazuka, who was still locked in a brutal duel with Chen Xing.
But Yazuka was already deep in the heat of battle.
Ignoring the command, he swung his blade wildly at Chen Xing, shouting over his shoulder:
"If you want to leave, go ahead—I’m not leaving!"
Hearing that, both the second and third squad captains exchanged grim looks.
Damn it. The lunatic’s gone mad again.
They wanted to forcibly remove Yazuka, but among the three of them, the strongest—by far—was the very man they were trying to stop.
Without Liam’s direct intervention, there was nothing they could do.
And just as Yazuka assumed Chen Xing would continue the slaughter—until one of them died—Chen Xing suddenly paused.
Her Yao Dao halted mid-swing.
Then, without warning, she shifted from pure killing intent to unleashing a blazing flame-based ability.
Boom!
A crimson flame erupted like a blooming lotus.
Yazuka was instantly forced back by the searing heat, trapped behind a wall of fire.
Staring at the burning barrier separating them, Chen Xing spoke calmly, her voice devoid of emotion.
"I had fun playing with you all. But my mission is done."
"Next time we meet, I’ll give you a real fight."
With that, she turned and tore open a Quantum Rift before her with a single motion—revealing the silhouette of the Brass Tower beyond.
Seeing Chen Xing abruptly vanish after receiving some signal, Yazuka, the madman, erupted in fury.
"You don’t get to leave!"
He roared, hurling his broken blade in a desperate attempt to stop her.
But just as the blade flew toward Chen Xing, a withered, skeletal hand shot out from the rift—and casually caught the blade mid-air.
Crack.
The once-durable blade, which had matched Chen Xing’s Yao Dao blow-for-blow, shattered into a thousand metallic fragments under the slightest pressure.
But that wasn’t the most shocking part.
It was what followed.
As the arm and the blazing light poured into the Quantum Space, the very air warped and twisted—like metal being seared by a red-hot iron.
The Quantum Space itself couldn’t withstand the intensity of that radiant heat.
It was clear—this dimension simply wasn’t built to endure such overwhelming strength.
"Fu Bo," Chen Xing said, standing before the rift, her voice softer than usual as she looked at the elderly butler-like figure outside.
"I told you not to come for me."
Foxes chuckled. "Miss, I know you’re safe. But protecting you is part of my duty."
"And besides," he added, "after all this, I think you’ve had enough fun, haven’t you?"
Chen Xing nodded, then took the pale golden robe Foxes extended from outside, draping it over her shoulders.
Then, turning toward the scowling Yazuka, she said coolly:
"Yazuka. If you want real combat—find me at the Liyang Family stronghold in Wudou Tian Du."
And with that, she stepped into the Quantum Rift—vanishing without a trace.
Seeing her gone, Yazuka’s expression flickered between rage and frustration.
After a long pause, he spat on the ground.
"Whatever. No sense."
Without a glance at his two stunned comrades, he activated his Quantum Beacon, teleporting out of the Quantum Space.
One by one, the flashing lights of the Beacons lit up—each summoning a Steam Branch Stellar Envoy back to the outside world.
"Kong!"
Yu Chen, feeling the sudden jolt of the Beacon’s activation, cried out desperately to Chen Kong, who was still holding Vivian tightly.
The Beacon had been issued by the second squad captain.
Under special circumstances, the captain could remotely trigger the teleportation—provided he hadn’t already shattered the device.
But now, Vivian—after struggling for so long—was finally showing signs of stability under their combined control.
If Yu Chen left, there was no way Chen Kong could hold her down alone.
Yet the Beacon didn’t care about his will.
No matter how much he wanted to stay, the pull of the device dragged him away.
When the light faded, only Chen Kong and Vivian remained in the Quantum Space.
Looking at the Second-Hand Dagger on Vivian’s left wrist, and the silver-white mechanized markings creeping up her neck, Chen Kong’s swollen face twisted into a grimace.
Without Yu Chen to stabilize her, his own Stellar Energy was nowhere near enough.
Sure enough, the moment Yu Chen vanished, Vivian—fully under the grip of her Mechanical Personality—lashed out with a sudden, brutal shoulder strike.
The force was enough to send Chen Kong sprawling to the ground, already exhausted.
Before he could rise, a flash of cold steel descended—aimed straight at his throat.
But the blade never pierced.
Chen Kong opened his eyes—only to see Tian Dao standing before him, effortlessly catching the blade mid-air with one hand.
"Being enslaved by strength is never a good thing," Tian Dao said calmly, his gaze fixed on Vivian’s back.
There, the Quantum Space rippled once more.
A faint golden silhouette—of a mechanized armor—was beginning to form.
"New target confirmed: Tian Dao Siming."
The Ironcrown Family’s senior Mechanical Stellar Envoy’s electronic eyes flared red.
"Mission priority updated: Abandon elimination. Capture Tian Dao Siming alive."
Hearing that, Tian Dao casually slapped Vivian’s neck.
She collapsed into Chen Kong’s arms, unconscious.
Then, he turned to face the emotionless machine before him, a faint smirk playing on his lips.
"Six years ago, you couldn’t do it.
Six years later? You’re even less likely to."
Watching the screen as Tian Dao stood firm against the Ironcrown Envoy, the Dimensional Audience’s Will memory replayed the final moments of Season 1—when Tian Dao had faced another high-ranking Ironcrown Envoy.
Here we go again—Lao Tian’s about to flex his power once more!
This machine’s aura is terrifying—boss-level?
High alert! Prepare for epic confrontation!
