He was confident that he could escape if necessary, but defeating this elite squad led by the Fourth Raikage was a different matter. Hence, maintaining his anonymity was crucial.
Trusting in their teacher, the three disciples did as they were told, altering their appearances slightly and donning Sunagakure forehead protectors and uniforms.
With his disciples in tow, Mu Yue began sprinting eastward. The desert was too open and provided little cover for them to move stealthily.
"I think they've spotted us. Those chakra signatures are moving in our direction quickly," Motem remarked, sensing their pursuit.
"Trying to escape? Not a chance. They'll make good practice for you, B," the Fourth Raikage said nonchalantly, turning to look at Killer B. "You need to step up your training, B. Your Lariat is far inferior to mine."
"How strange, their speed has suddenly increased tremendously," Motem remarked, noticing how Mu Yue and his disciples had abruptly accelerated once more.
"I'll go ahead and stop them," A said nonchalantly, his tone implying that there was no way they could outrun him.
Ziiiing!
A's sturdy body was instantly enveloped in a torrent of lightning, a dazzling armor of electricity. With the activation of his Lightning Release Chakra Mode, his physical abilities were enhanced, and he took a mighty step forward, vanishing from Killer B and the others' sight in an instant.
Meanwhile, Mu Yue scooped up his disciples and sprinted towards the nearest forest, reaching it in no time.
"Let's go into the forest first," Mu Yue said as he set his disciples down.
"None of you are going anywhere!"
Just then, a bolt of blue lightning sped towards them, a horizontal flash of electricity across the ground.
"What is that?" Obito couldn't even see the Fourth Raikage's figure; he only sensed the lightning streaking towards them.
Kakashi swiftly drew a handful of shuriken and threw them at the lightning, but they fell short as the lightning was far too fast.
The lightning bolt raced past them and came to a stop in front of the forest, where the Fourth Raikage deactivated his Lightning Release Chakra Mode. He surveyed the group with disappointment; none of the strong Sunagakure shinobi he was expecting were among them.
"Incredible speed!" Kakashi exclaimed, astonished by how the Fourth Raikage had appeared before them in an instant.
He was certain that the sturdy young man with dark skin and blond hair was a formidable opponent. The speed Kakashi had just witnessed was something he had only experienced with Mu Yue, and for a moment, he couldn't decide who was faster between the two. Their speeds had surpassed his understanding, making any comparison impossible.
"Tell me about your mission, and I might let you keep your bodies intact," the Fourth Raikage said indifferently.
"Who's going to tell you that? If you have the guts, come and try," Obito retorted, confident that with Mu Yue around, they were not in any real danger.
Mu Yue signaled for his disciples to stand behind him. The Fourth Raikage was different from the enemies they had faced before; he possessed both immense strength and remarkable speed.
"You seem pretty confident, but sometimes overconfidence can be your downfall," Mu Yue said, a smile playing on his lips.
"I have good reason to be confident," A replied, glancing over his shoulder as Killer B and the others drew near. "If it weren't for the fact that I want B to get some practice, I could take care of all of you right now."
"Are you sure about that?" Mu Yue asked, pushing up his glasses. He inhaled deeply, drawing a large amount of air into his body to enhance his abilities, and his chakra surged, causing his aura to shift intensely.
Whoosh! Mu Yue appeared behind the Fourth Raikage, his right fist enveloped in the black armor of Conqueror's Haki. He threw a powerful punch.
Although the Fourth Raikage had underestimated Mu Yue due to his unknown strength, his reaction was lightning-fast. He immediately activated his Lightning Release Chakra Mode, his body shimmering with blue lightning that enhanced his punch with raw electrical power.
The black and blue fists collided with tremendous force.
Just then, Killer B and the other Cloud shinobi arrived on the scene.
