Chapter 21: A Living Hell
Chapter 21: A Living Hell
Just as Kuro predicted.
Zoro and Sanji initially struggled to adapt to Klah's speed. However, after witnessing Klah's "Spoon" technique, Zoro realized its similarity to "Shave"—both shared identical velocity, differing only in control precision.
After enduring several ambushes, Zoro and Sanji gradually adjusted to Klah's pace and began launching counterattacks.
Clang!!
Klah burst forward again, but Zoro blocked and deflected the clawed strike.
"Three Sword Style!"
Zoro pulled both blades backward and slashed forward in unison with the sword clenched in his mouth.
Clang!!
Though Klah parried the attack, the immense force shattered his defensive stance.
"Neck Meat!"
Sanji joined the assault, delivering a devastating kick to Klah's neck.
"Three Sword Style!"
Zoro capitalized on the opening, his figure blurring like a vengeful spirit.
Klah's hair bristled. If he got hit—
He expanded his body mid-dodge, narrowly evading their attacks as he vanished.
"Shave!"
A circular shockwave erupted around them, hissing as Zoro and Sanji sustained fresh, gaping wounds.
Klah reappeared behind them, crouching with sunglasses gleaming.
"Oh?"
Kuro, observing the battle, muttered in surprise: "Combined 'Shave' and 'Spoon' technique? Clever move."
Zoro coughed, rising slowly while inhaling deeply. "Guess we'll need to take you down before moving forward."
"Right", Sanji agreed, staggering back to his feet. "Green Algae Head, this one's dangerous."
Their fighting spirit surged.
"Tch—Still not dead?"
Klah spat contemptuously, his expression fluctuating between rage and wariness.
"I wanted to practice more before teaching Kuro a lesson, but looks like I can't hide it anymore."
Though imperfectly mastered, this technique was more than sufficient for these two opponents.
"Three Sword Style!"
"Shoulder Meat!"
They charged.
"Useless. Shave!"
Fresh wounds tore across their bodies as they collapsed again.
"Green Algae Head—"
After rising, Sanji suddenly called to Zoro.
"Got it. Curly Brow."
Re-clenching his blade, Zoro's eyes burned with fury as he lunged first.
"Three Sword Style!"
As Zoro closed in, his body suddenly split into a spinning triple-blade vortex, slicing toward Klah.
"Told you it's useless."
Klah activated "Shave" again, sweeping a tight circle around Zoro before appearing behind him.
Hiss!
Blood erupted as Zoro crashed down.
Adjusting his glasses, Klah sneered, "You two—"
"Shin Meat!"
Bang!
Klah's face stiffened. Before he could straighten, Sanji's kick sent him collapsing to his knees.
"What—?!"
"Thigh Meat!"
Sanji struck Klah's back thigh, then planted his foot to spring upward, both legs slamming into Klah's weapon.
"Cut Meat Shoot!"
The Ten Blades glove, propelled by immense force, flew off Klah's hands along with the blades, scattering far away.
Bang!
Sanji's final kick smashed into Klah's chest.
"Why—?!"
Klah coughed dryly, blood trickling from his lips as he stared in disbelief.
"When you use that move, your body freezes momentarily."
Zoro stood, grinning savagely. "That's all we needed."
Sanji kicked Klah's jaw, sending him airborne. "Get ready for payback, Four-Eyes!"
Planting his hands, Sanji launched consecutive kicks.
"Salad Shoot!"
"Ghost, slash!"
Zoro burst forward at blinding speed, crossing his blades as a third "Zoro" joined the strike against the helpless Klah.
Simultaneously, Sanji delivered the final kick, spinning mid-air to strike Klah's head.
"See? He's wide open."
Kuro snatched a potato chip from Lida's hand and popped it into his mouth.
"Don't eat my snacks!"
Lida hissed like a defensive cat.
"Go save him or he'll be down for days." Kuro munched casually.
"Oh, Shave."
In an instant, Lida vanished and reappeared before Klah, catching Zoro's "Ghost Slash" with her bare hand while blocking Sanji's kick with her raised leg.
Clang!
Bang!
Lida shoved forward, her immense strength sending both fighters reeling backward.
"Damn, another one!"
Zoro scowled. Did this woman really block his blade with her bare hand?
"Who's this now? Another pretty lady, huh!"
Sanji shouted, but froze when he saw Lida's face, his eyes transforming into hearts.
Now in her teenage form, Lida casually munched another chip.
"Hey, Klah, you okay?"
"Fine."
Klah stood, panting heavily. "You didn't learn this technique. Why use it better than me?"
"Shave? Once's all it takes to master." Lida shrugged.
Though Six Styles originated from the Navy, Klah already possessed "Shave"-level speed.
Having honed her body in the Grand Line and mastered Haki, Lida's physical prowess exceeded requirements. Learning by observation came naturally.
"Zoro, Sanji—retreat!"
Luffy's voice echoed from afar. His stretchable arm grabbed a building near Lida, then vanished into the distance, carrying the two fighters away.
"Don't run!"
Klah roared, attempting to pursue.
But suddenly, a hurricane-force gale nearly blew him away.
The windstorm scattered people like leaves. Pirates like Buggy, recently captured by Smoker, vanished into the chaos.
Lightning cracked. Thunder roared. Buildings collapsed like sandcastles.
Kuro appeared on the plaza, his hair whipping in the wind.
"Lida, you—"
Her words died as she swallowed hard, cold sweat dripping.
Kuro's expression—colder than she'd ever seen—radiated fury.
"Notify the Navy. Start disaster relief. Protect civilians."
Kuro's voice sliced through the air as he marched opposite the sensed presence. Compared to chasing Dragon, other priorities came first.
……
"Chance! This is our chance!"
A pirate stabbed a terrified civilian with his dagger.
"While it's chaotic, we loot and escape!"
This town harbored countless nameless pirates—Smoker's past failures who evaded capture due to lack of bounties. Normally restrained by Smoker's presence, they now seized the chaos.
Pirates flooded the streets, blades slashing civilians, looting treasures.
Amid hurricane-flattened ruins, pirate laughter mingled with civilian screams.
A living hell.
