Chapter 206: Secrets to Wealth: Black Eating Black
Chapter 206: Secrets to Wealth: Black Eating Black (Five Updates)
"Big Sister, I saw a few Witches following that young man out!"
The young Witch who had tried to warn Jerry earlier, after wandering around, just happened to see Jerry leave the tent. Shortly after Jerry's departure, a few hooded Witches, including the vendor who sold the double-tailed dogs, followed closely behind.
"Too conspicuous. While the Black Market has its rules, outside of it, there are no rules. This is a lesson for you to learn from!"
The companion known as Big Sister warned the young Witch.
The young Witch hesitated for a moment, then sighed.
Although he felt sympathy for the naive young man, he wasn't going to risk his own safety for a stranger.
He just hoped the young man's fate wouldn't be too dire.
Meanwhile, Jerry, who everyone thought was a naive youngster, deliberately slowed his pace and walked deeper into the dark, desolate forest.
"I wonder how many greedy Dark Witches this performance will attract!"
Jerry believed that while not everyone in the Black Market was a ruthless Dark Witch, none of them were exactly law-abiding citizens.
The situation he had just displayed, along with the real Galleons he had shown, would certainly attract some risk-taking, greedy individuals.
Jerry's plan was that he wouldn't steal or rob, but if someone dared to attack him, he would use their own methods against them. That shouldn't be a problem, right?
And he could earn some red stars in the process.
If things went smoothly, he might be able to gather enough Galleons to buy a house-elf in a few days. He might even have some extra Galleons to buy other Fantastic Beasts.
"Here they come, here they come, here they come!"
Jerry, who was strolling through the forest, heard the footsteps from behind and his lips curled into a quick smile.
In a clearing in the forest.
The sinister vendor who had sold the double-tailed dogs, along with three hooded Dark Witches, wands at the ready, surrounded Jerry.
"Brat, hand over all the Galleons in your pocket, and I'll spare your life!"
"What are you doing? This is illegal!"
Jerry looked at the four people surrounding him with feigned terror.
The sinister vendor laughed loudly.
"Illegal? We're already in an illegal business. Hurry up and hand over the Galleons, and I'll let you go. Otherwise, I'll kill you right now!"
"Alright, I'll give them to you, just don't kill me!"
Jerry obediently took out the bag containing all his Galleons and handed it to the sinister vendor.
The vendor took the bag, checked the number of Galleons inside, and a satisfied smile spread across his face.
"Alright, scram. Remember, don't come to the Black Market alone again. This is a lesson for you!"
"Really, you won't kill me?"
Jerry's face showed surprise.
"Scram!"
The sinister vendor's face showed impatience.
"Alright, seems you're not too bad. I'll spare your lives, then!"
Jerry's terrified expression vanished, and he said this calmly.
Before the sinister vendor and the other three could react to the young man's sudden change of demeanor, they felt a prick on their necks and collapsed to the ground.
It turned out that as soon as he sensed their presence, Jerry had hidden Silver Needles around the area.
He had used Mind Control Magic to direct the Silver Needles, which were coated with anesthetic, to prick each of their necks, knocking them all out.
The earlier conversation was just a test to see if the Dark Witches were simply robbing him or if they planned to kill him after the robbery.
If it was just a simple robbery, he would let them off with a warning after taking what he needed. But if they planned to kill after robbing, then Jerry wouldn't hesitate to send them straight to hell after he took what he wanted.
To be safe, Jerry cast another Stunning Spell on each of them before starting to search their bodies.
"Not very rich, I see!"
After searching all four of them, the total amount of Galleons came to less than ten thousand.
However, in the Spatial Item of the sinister stall owner, he found quite a few Fantastic Beasts.
Unfortunately, they were all low-level Fantastic Beasts that weren't particularly useful or dangerous.
The number of Contracts was limited, and he didn't want to waste them on these low-level Fantastic Beasts, so he threw them all into his box space, letting them live freely.
After all, they were harmless, and keeping them in the box space would at least add some diversity.
"Zombie Levitation!"
With a wave of his hand, the four Dark Witches, now stripped of all their possessions, floated like zombies and followed Jerry deeper into the forest.
Once he was sure no one would discover them, Jerry used a Binding Spell to tie them up and then woke them all up.
"Sir, we were blind, please let us off this time!"
The four Dark Witches, upon regaining consciousness, quickly assessed the situation and immediately started pleading, showing no signs of a willingness to die for their cause.
Jerry stood in front of them with his hands behind his back, his face expressionless.
"I might let you go, but I need you to do something for me. Otherwise, you'll end up like that tree!"
With that, he waved his hand, and a blue magical light shot out, instantly cutting a large tree into several pieces.
"Wandless and Non-Verbal Spellcasting!"
The four Dark Witches were so shocked they gulped.
A few months ago, a powerful Dark Witch capable of wandless and non-verbal spellcasting had been on the Ministry of Magic's wanted list. Now, another one had appeared, and this one was so young.
When did wandless and non-verbal spellcasting become so easy?
At Jerry's current level, he could barely manage non-verbal casting, but wandless casting was still just out of his grasp.
The main issue was that without a magical focus, many spells lost a significant amount of power.
So the Cutting Curse Jerry had just cast wasn't truly wandless; he was wearing a Magic Ring.
However, this move clearly frightened the four Dark Witches, who profited from smuggling Fantastic Beasts.
"Please, sir, please, we'll do it, we'll do it!"
"Good. I want you to go back and do this, and then this."
Twenty minutes later, the four Dark Witches returned to the Black Market tent with complex expressions.
"Boss, do we really have to say that? I think it's better to tell the Black Market's management the truth. Maybe they'll have a conflict with that boy, and we can take advantage of the chaos to get our money back!"
One of the Dark Witches suggested to the sinister stall owner.
The stall owner thought for a while before sighing.
"Let's not take that risk. That boy isn't someone to mess with. He might not be able to beat the management, but he could take his anger out on us afterward. Losing some money is fine, but we can't risk our lives!"
