Chapter 203: Don't Blame Us for Fighting in Numbers
Chapter 203: Don't Blame Us for Fighting in Numbers
The four-headed hunting dog's war cry seemed to have a magical effect; after shouting, Luo Ka felt full of confidence, certain that they would win.
With Bages being so strong, defeating the S-class mage of Fairy Tail wouldn't be a problem.
And he wouldn't let Bages down; he would make the opponent's assistant taste the Rock Drill Fist.
"Here they come." Bages sat up with respect, placing his wine gourd on the side, "Sure enough, it's you, Erusa."
"Queen of the Fairies?" Luo Ka's confidence waned a bit.
Lode and Erusa jumped off the river crabs and walked up to the two people with the four-headed hunting dog.
Seeing the reaction of the little yellow hair, Lode was a bit envious of Erusa's fame.
Just one look could make the enemy retreat before even moving, making the fight much easier.
"Bages, it's been a long time." Erusa's face was stern, "It seems like nothing has progressed."
"No, it will be soon." Bages picked up the wine gourd, took a few swigs, and stood up in an offensive stance, "I will defeat you here and make you abandon the mission."
Is this guy going to use a drunken fist? Lode stepped forward and said, "I object; fighting here would make things difficult if we encounter the enemy later."
Erusa replied seriously, "That's correct, our intention is to complete the mission first. If we can't defeat them now, we can decide the outcome after that."
Luo Ka felt they had a point, "Bages brother..."
"Don't ramble on, just deal with you cleanly and nothing will happen!" Bages took another two swigs of wine, a red flush appearing on his face, "You... hiccup, shouldn't be afraid, right?"
Erusa shook her head lightly, "It seems they won't listen."
This situation was within their expectations, and their plan was to win the fight cleanly if the opponent talked.
Considering the relationship between the two guild masters, Lode finally reminded them:
"I hope you haven't forgotten that this is a team battle. If you fight, don't blame us for outnumbering you."
Luo Ka felt a bit offended, "Who do you look down on? We have two people here too!"
"No, my point is, we have more than just two 'people.'"
Lode waved his hand, and a river crab, two toads, five dark shadow wolves, and twelve sharp-beaked birds emerged from behind the cliff, surrounding the four people.
Including a worm that joined in the mix.
"Now it's 24 against 2, I still suggest we complete the mission and then decide the outcome. Later, I won't summon so many monsters to help, okay?"
A group of various sizes of wild monsters gathered together. While some didn't look strong, the sheer number brought an intimidating presence.
That two-headed giant wolf, taller than a person, and the toad, just looking at them made one feel they were not to be messed with.
Luo Ka felt a bit nervous, "Bages brother, this guy seems to be a tamer who will remind us to be cautious with the beast tamers."
"Ha ha ha! No matter how many of these things there are, it's useless!" Bages moved and lunged at Lode,
"Summoning magic is already enough, the mages themselves did it!"
The intimidation of drunken ghosts was ineffective. Lode, with a dark face, noted this knowledge point, and a stone-armored beetle emerged, leading him to sink underground.
"Heaven Wheel Armor!" Erusa took a step sideways, protecting Lode, "Heaven Wheel: Chaotic Sword!"
Dozens of flying swords now circled Erusa, wave after wave, flying towards Bages.
Lode had already sunk underground, but from the river crab's perspective, he could see Bages swaying and dodging one after another flying sword attack.
His body swayed, his steps were messy, sometimes he simply lay on the ground, rolled over, and jumped up.
When he found it hard to avoid, he would either slash at the sword, knock the sword away, or break it.
"It really does look like a combination of Drunken Fist and Sleeping Arhat Fist. And the strength to break the Heaven Wheel Sword with one palm shouldn't be underestimated."
Lode emerged from the ground a short distance away from the battlefield where Erusa and Bages were fighting. The dark shadow wolves were already engaged with Luo Ka. This peculiarly styled little yellow hair had impressive strength; his magic seemed to allow different parts of his body to rotate at high speeds like drills, increasing the power of his attacks.
Five dark shadow wolves pounced on him, but they couldn't take him down quickly. Instead, two of them were sent flying.
"Summoning: Azure Sculpted Magic Golem!" Lode decided to end the fight quickly, "Crown of Insight!"
Blue light patterns floated around Lode and Erusa, and their depleted magic began to recover.
"Hit him—be careful, don't kill him."
Lode waved his hand, and the golem lumbered towards Luo Ka, its sandbag-sized fist crashing down.
"Is this size really necessary?"
Luo Ka wanted to concede but felt unwilling to give up. He gritted his teeth, and his body and arms began to spin like drills, charging forward with a head-on collision, "Rock Drill Fist!"
Bang!
Chips of stone fell from the golem's fist, and Luo Ka was slammed into the golem's stone arm, flying out and crashing into the cliff wall.
Lode kicked the golem's big foot: "I told you to be careful."
The golem scratched its head; it had already reduced its force.
Fortunately, Luo Ka was unharmed, though he looked a bit disheveled. He gritted his teeth and charged forward, "It's not over yet! WILD~~"
"Down!"
A stone-armored beetle emerged from the ground, biting onto Luo Ka and dragging him underground, leaving only his head exposed.
But Luo Ka didn't give up. His body spun, drilling through the soil and jumping back to the surface, "FOUR!"
The golem's fist swung with full force, stopping just short of Luo Ka's nose.
The powerful wind from the punch blew his standing hair backward, and the flesh on his cheeks trembled, almost pulling his lips into a grimace.
Lode smiled kindly from the side, "Can you concede now?"
"Yes..." Luo Ka wasn't someone who couldn't accept defeat. He knew he couldn't withstand that punch.
Persisting would only embarrass the four-headed hunting dog.
On the other side, Erusa had already changed into her Flying Armor, wielding dual swords and moving at incredible speed.
Erusa was like a swift cheetah, darting through the battlefield, her dual swords flashing silver arcs like the cheetah's sharp claws.
Bages, however, seemed like an unbreakable bobblehead. Just as the sword blades were about to touch him, he would fall over, and when the other sword followed, he would roll and get back up.
"Speed type? Useless!" Bages lunged forward, striking Erusa's wrist and sending one of her swords flying. He then hit her shoulder with his other hand.
"Ugh..." The shoulder armor with leopard prints shattered, and Erusa clutched her reddened left shoulder, "The strength to shatter armor and the reaction speed to handle the Flying Armor, indeed very strong!"
"That palm was aimed at your chin... Being able to avoid the vital points in such a situation, you're not bad." Bages crossed his arms behind his back, like an eagle spreading its wings, "But, your speed against me... huh?"
Bages paused, suddenly feeling warmth on his face. A small droplet of blood trickled down his cheek.
Somewhere, a blood mark had appeared on his face.
Lode saw this, "These two are evenly matched opponents, I think."
Although Erusa had the blue light, it wasn't something that would give her an advantage in a short time; it was a tool for a prolonged battle.
If this continued, Bages would definitely be worn down.
But that wasn't their goal, so Lode decided to intervene again.
