Chapter 202: I Have Blood Packs
Chapter 202: I Have Blood Packs
A notorious group of pirates surged forward. Ordinary Navy members might have felt fear, but Kas and his comrades stood unshaken.
As if sensing the killing intent, Kas and his crew had just sent a few pirates sprawling when they abruptly turned. The golden-haired man came barreling toward them at blinding speed, his crutch-like weapon swinging downward in a crushing strike.
Kas and his men stood their ground, roaring at the pirate, "Justice will never retreat!"
With his thunderous shout, the Navy soldiers formed a battle array, fearlessly confronting the charging pirates. Instead of retreating, they launched a counterattack.
This fearless momentum was terrifying.
But facing Red Hair Pirates' senior officer, he was momentarily startled yet pressed the attack. One strike from this crutch would shatter these strange Navy men.
One strike was all it would take.
Whoosh!
Suddenly, a razor-sharp sensation erupted behind him.
Gritting his teeth, the golden-haired man ignored the chilling aura at his back, his crutch still crashing downward.
No matter what, eliminating this troublesome foe would make everything easier later.
After all, this Navy man was just one person, while the pirates were many. He knew which priority mattered. Taking injuries was worth it!
At that moment, his feet suddenly lifted as the ground beneath him erupted upward. The angle threw him off balance, his downward strike missing completely.
Kuro materialized behind him, mercilessly slashing his blade toward the pirate's head. This rare chance wouldn't be wasted.
Bang!
Gunfire erupted beside them. Kuro's pupils constricted. Twisting his Black Blade, he executed a vertical slash. The blade met the incoming bullet with a sickening thunk, sending blood spraying. Using the slash's momentum, he spun his body, kicking the golden-haired man backward. His blade flicked upward, sending sparks flying as he deflected another bullet midair.
It was Beckman.
"You bastard!" Beckman glared at the severed arm on the ground, his expression darkening.
"What a shame. Almost cost you one of your officers." Kuro flicked the blood off Autumn Water, positioning himself protectively before Kas.
"Shinmeiryu Style Mystic Art - Black Tortoise!"
As waves of pirates charged, Kuro slashed his blade, summoning a massive Black Tortoise phantom that enveloped him. When an officer's strike slammed into the tortoise shell, the impact echoed, but the shell didn't budge an inch.
Beckman raised his gun to fire, but suddenly sensed danger. Swinging his rifle's stock, he batted away a sudden energy beam. Lucius Kro's figure appeared midair, finger extended. "Don't ignore the old man, Ben Beckman."
"Focus on eliminating those Navy first!" Beckman shouted.
Even if the Vice Admirals gained an advantage, individual combat power had limits. One person, no matter how strong, couldn't instantly wipe out crowds. The pirates remaining were elite fighters immune to Conqueror's Haki.
Unlike those strange Navy men, these foes' individual firepower might be lacking. A single officer couldn't threaten them, but they could inflict devastating damage on these elite pirates.
Casualties were inevitable, but the goal was to trade one pirate life for multiple Navy lives - not just sustaining losses without results.
The officers circled Kuro's shield, aiming to break through and target Kas.
Seeing this, Kuro's lips curled into a smirk. He glanced skyward. "Gramps!"
The snake-like eyes on the Black Tortoise's shell fixed on the charging officers.
Black Tortoise's Mystic Art - the only technique without offensive power but unparalleled defensive might, locking enemies in place with immobilizing force.
The officers' bodies froze mid-motion. Lucius Kro crossed his hands in the air.
"Yata Mirror Beads!"
Lasers rained down, obliterating the battlefield.
"Damn it!" Beckman instinctively aimed at Lucius Kro, but another chilling wind spiraled at his side.
Startled, he clenched his fist, unleashing concentrated Haki in a straight punch toward the aura.
It was Kuro again.
This time, the punch struck nothing but a water ripple-like illusion that dissolved upon impact.
A fake?
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Lasers engulfed Beckman.
Meanwhile, Kuro sprinted toward Shanks, locked in combat with Sengoku and Garp.
His speed was abnormal - unnaturally fast, out of sync with the surrounding battle like someone had hit fast-forward.
This was Kas' Fivefold Acceleration, now amplifying Kuro's movements.
This war couldn't drag on. The longer it lasted, the heavier the Navy's losses.
As Togeko once said, sacrificing Navy lives to kill pirates was absurd.
Their strategic goal was achieved. Now, they needed to end this.
The enemy wanted to prolong the fight, but Kuro's mission was simpler - prevent any delay.
With Gramps holding the officers and Vice Admirals rushing in, an opening had formed. The battlefield's linchpin was right there - Shanks!
Take down their legendary captain, and it would be over.
"Shinmeiryu Style - Ultimate Mystic Art!"
Sensing the surging killing intent, Sengoku and Garp exchanged glances, their attacks intensifying to relentless barrages.
"You two..." Shanks tried to retreat, but there was no time.
Fivefold acceleration, combined with Kuro's natural speed, closed the distance in an instant. Autumn Water's golden blade gleamed as he swung it down at Shanks.
"Ultimate Mystic Art!"
Boom!
A golden dragon descended from the stormy sky, slicing through Shanks' chest alongside Kuro's blade.
Sssshk!
The blade carved across Shanks' torso, erupting in a fountain of blood.
A massive, bone-deep gash marred his chest!
"Captain!" Beckman batted away laser beams, charging toward the battlefield with bloodshot eyes. "Don't underestimate me, Navy!"
Shanks staggered backward from the blow. His eyes flared wide. As Kuro tried to withdraw, his body suddenly froze. Conqueror's Haki shook his very soul.
Dark clouds swallowed the sky's previous gloom, casting dread over everyone present. Even their movements faltered.
Conqueror's Haki!
In that frozen moment, Shanks slashed back, his blade striking Kuro's shoulder. The strike pierced Kuro's Haki, cutting halfway through his shoulder before meeting resistance from another Black Blade.
"Think I'll end up like you? Not a chance!" Kuro grinned savagely.
Bang! Boom!
Garp's fist smashed into Shanks' gut. Sengoku's palm struck Shanks' face. Shockwaves and Garp's force sent Shanks flying.
"You okay, Kuro kid?" Garp guarded Kuro, fists clenched.
"Fine." Kuro clutched his shoulder, shouting backward. "Lida!"
Attacking a Four Emperors captain meant expecting injuries. But unlike others, he had blood packs. As long as nothing was severed, he could erase all wounds.
