Chapter 201: Yes! RPG!
Chapter 201: Yes! RPG!
Lily stared at the Telbug that had fallen asleep, still somewhat incredulous, and stood there in a daze for a while.
However, Renee couldn't contain herself any longer. She snatched the newspaper from Lily's hands and cheered with her hand raised, "Oh! Sag is out!"
"I knew it! Captain Sag isn't someone who gets caught easily!"
Ajin was so moved that his eyes welled up with tears.
Next to him, Pal howled in sorrow, "Wuuuu, Captain Sag!"
In these few days, the atmosphere on the ship had been peculiar. Even though he had noticed and tried his best to assert his authority, it hadn't worked.
The foundation of his authority stemmed from Sag's presence, and without Captain Sag, some crew members would definitely leave.
A quick count revealed that only a little over eight hundred remained standing here.
Out of the original crew of one thousand two hundred, a third had left, including some veteran crew members from the East Sea.
This made Ajin feel extremely guilty. As the captain of the guard, he hadn't even been able to keep his men united.
He had been terribly negligent!
But fortunately, the captain had returned, and now the crew would stay together.
Renee couldn't stand the foolish crying and shouted, "Stop crying! Sag is back, not back from the dead!"
"Alright, everyone is just excited. I'll make a dish to calm everyone's emotions later." Marika said with a smile.
"Let's rob first."
Lily snapped back to attention and immediately sprang into action. "Gather the supplies, then quickly get on the ship. Hurry! Since Sag is heading this way, we must wait for him in the nearby waters. We'll definitely engage in a battle with the Navy, so let's make it a naval battle!"
In terms of numbers, they didn't have the advantage. Even though she had grasped Haoshoku Haki, she understood that she wasn't Sag.
If a strong opponent broke through, there would still be casualties.
She didn't know how many people were in this Navy base, and since they would be staying here for some time, a naval battle was the best option.
When it came to commanding at sea, she wouldn't be inferior to anyone, and the Death Prophecy ship was much faster than Navy warships.
The remaining pirates crossed over the fallen and headed towards the tall buildings and manors, looting a large number of valuables and the supplies they needed, and gradually moved them onto the ship.
In Novgrass, a place where wealth was divided according to identity, perhaps those so-called 'first-class citizens' didn't have much money, but the wealth hidden in this city was definitely astonishing.
Just like in Carnival City, wealth would always be concentrated in the hands of certain groups. Find them, rob them, and you could instantly acquire a large amount of wealth.
Box after box of gold, silver, and jewels, along with supplies needed on the ship, were loaded onto the ship, as well as burlap sacks filled with Belly.
"That's not a lot."
Renee looked at the dozen or so pirates holding treasure chests and sacks and said strangely, "I thought this place was very rich?"
"Wealth isn't calculated that way."
As a member of the royal family, Lily understood a little, "I remember when I was little, even though I was always in the royal palace, I never lacked anything. Status is also a form of wealth; you can control a lot of things, but that doesn't mean you have money."
When she met Sag, his savings were pitifully low.
She hadn't known before, but after following Sag on a few plundering trips, she had a general idea.
Purely in terms of treasures, their haul might not match their identities.
Being able to grab a dozen boxes and bags was already quite good.
It was just that there wasn't a merchant like the one named Link who had traded with Sag. Otherwise, Lily would also like to sell the city to those people and see how much this city was worth.
There should be people like that, but after thinking about it, she decided against it. She lacked Sag's magnanimity, and they might not be persuaded by her anyway. The main reason was that there wasn't enough time.
The battle and looting had taken some time, and Lily estimated that the Navy would be arriving soon.
"Everyone, get on board!"
Lily raised her White Thunder and directed the remaining pirates to quickly board the ship. Her command was met with swift obedience from her loyal crew.
Once everyone was on board, the ship set sail, departing from the port and venturing out into the nearby waters.
It didn't take long for Lily to spot three naval ships approaching the port.
"Ordinary naval ships with a crew of three hundred," Lily announced, raising her telescope and pointing it towards the incoming ships. "Deck guns, load chain shots! First-level cannons, load cannonballs, prepare for battle!"
Her crew scurried into position, with three pirates at each cannon, efficiently loading the ammunition and awaiting the order to fire.
Renee climbed onto the railing, pulling down her goggles to cover her eyes as she adjusted the sights. With a twist of her mechanical hammer, she extended it and aimed the barrel at the three approaching naval ships.
"Locked and loaded!" she exclaimed, baring her sharp little tiger teeth.
Lily continued to observe through her telescope, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. As the naval ships drew closer, she suddenly raised her arm and gave the command.
"Fire!"
Boom! Boom! Boom!
The deck and first-level cannons roared to life, spewing forth a volley of cannonballs that rained down on the three approaching naval ships.
Two-thirds of the cannonballs fell short, splashing into the sea and sending towering geysers skyward. However, the remaining third found their mark, tearing through sails and ripping into the ships' bodies and decks, leaving behind billowing clouds of black smoke.
"Fire the power shots!"
Renee twisted the handle of her mechanical hammer, causing electrical sparks to dance across her small hands. With a surge of kinetic energy, she unleashed three specially made cannonballs, each speeding towards one of the naval ships with unerring accuracy.
Boom!!!
A deafening explosion rocked the air as one of the naval ships was instantly decimated, its bow plunging into the sea and half of its body sinking beneath the waves.
"Yes! RPG!" Renee pumped her tiny fists in the air, exhilarated by the successful strike.
"Port side, forward! Renee, accelerate!" Lily suddenly ordered, her eyes gleaming with determination.
"Aye, aye!"
Renee freed one of her hands and slammed it onto the deck. Electrical sparks danced from her hands and across the deck, causing the Death Prophecy ship to abruptly accelerate as the electricity coursed through the entire vessel.
Boom! Boom!
Just then, the remaining two naval ships fired their main cannons, but their shots fell short, splashing into the sea.
"Return to your positions! Deck and first-level cannons, load cannonballs, aim for the one o'clock position!"
Lily's voice rang out with authority, "We will annihilate them!"
When it came to battle, Lily truly shone, her command and insight serving as a beacon to illuminate the path for her entire crew.
"Her command and insight are truly remarkable," Lucci commented, his voice deep and filled with respect. "The Big Disaster pirate gang has no shortage of powerful individuals."
Out on the vast ocean, strength wasn't solely measured by individual combat prowess. Skilled navigators and brilliant commanders were also considered strong, as their abilities were crucial for survival and success on the high seas.
And just like that, Bienelda Lily could be counted among the strong.
