Chapter 200: It's Out!
Chapter 200: It's Out!
Magellan's feet left the ground as his body, enveloped by the red toxic liquid, floated upwards, gradually approaching Sag. At the same time, the red liquid expanded outwards, sealing off Sag's escape routes.
The toxic liquid dripped to the ground, emitting corrosive fumes that ate away at the floor, leaving pitted holes.
"It's just poison,"
But a poison that could corrode substances was already extraordinary.
"No one can escape from my grasp!"
On the open sea, of course, there were people who could dodge his attacks.
Within the confines of the fortified city, no one could escape!
Staring at the encroaching red venom, Sag smiled and raised his fist. "I never intended to escape anyway."
This virulent poison must never be touched.
It must not only come into contact with the ground but also possesses a powerful contagion on top of its corrosive nature.
But
Crackle!
All his Haki concentrated on his fist, erupting into two black lightning bolts that surrounded him.
"The pinnacle of Haki?!"
Magellan's expression turned solemn as he quickened his pace, simultaneously reaching forward with his hand. The red giant enveloped by the toxic liquid also extended its hand, filled with venom, and reached out to cover Sag.
Even at the pinnacle of Haki, as long as there was physical contact, the poison would take effect.
Haki couldn't alter one's body!
BOOM!!
But just as the toxic liquid giant hand pressed down, a massive shockwave tore through, blowing the venom away and sending the red giant's body flying in all directions. It disintegrated into clumps of red toxic liquid that splattered backward.
"Did that guy just throw a punch?!"
But in an instant, Magellan reacted. He quickly manipulated the virulent poison that constantly oozed out of his body, forming it into a giant hand that caught the splattering venom and merged it back together.
After all, his subordinates were lying right behind him!
If this virulent poison touched them, they wouldn't even have a chance to use the antidote. He couldn't let the poison fall!
"Are you daring to be distracted while dealing with me?!"
But just as he caught the toxic liquid, Sag's voice rang in his ear.
"Hundredfold Speed: Galaxy Impact!"
BOOM!!
He didn't even catch a glimpse of Sag's figure as the virulent poison, which had just coated his body, was shattered by the impact and then viciously struck his face.
CRASH!
The ground beneath his feet shattered at this moment, causing Magellan's massive body to plunge into the fractured hole.
It seemed like even the floor would be pierced through.
At this moment, Sag's figure appeared.
"Absolute speed is absolute power, Magellan! You can't even touch me, whoo-ha-ha-ha!"
Sag tapped his foot, creating a smoke ring, and bounced into the air, laughing heartily at the abyss-like hole below.
"Virulent poison?
Just don't touch it, and it's over!"
Those red toxic liquids were merely in a liquid state and could be knocked away. Even if it was extremely harmful to the body, it couldn't infect one's will. With the impact of Haki, the first punch blew away that toxic giant.
And the second punch could land.
His ability's speed was far inferior to Sag's hundredfold speed.
Even compared to the force brought by this speed, his Haki's strength now served as a layer of protection, preventing side effects from overexertion.
"Venomous Contagion!"
From within the hole, Magellan's deep voice resounded, and a vast amount of red toxic liquid gushed out, akin to a tidal wave, swiftly infecting the area and turning half of the floor into a scarlet red.
The red liquid first covered the two entrances on the fourth level, and from within the hole, a face drenched in blood emerged amidst the red tide.
"I said you won't get away, Sag?!"
"Galaxy Impact!"
BOOM!
A massive impact from Sag's fist, too fast to see, landed, sending Magellan, who had just appeared at the hole's entrance, back down.
"How many of my punches can you block?!"
Sag's eyes narrowed dangerously, and in just one breath, another Haki-imbued impact slammed into the hole.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
The booming sounds persisted as the hole's range expanded. Each punch sent shockwaves that rattled the hole's edges, causing debris to fall.
Yet, within this bottomless abyss, traces of red could still be faintly seen, and the surrounding air gradually changed, becoming heavier.
BOOM!!
After throwing another punch, Sag's expression turned solemn as his body emitted wisps of white smoke, with even traces of red within them.
The speed of his punches slowed down.
The red liquid within the hole never ceased, and no matter how many times he attacked, he could still see the virulent poison rising, even faster than before.
Under the toxic fumes emitted by the virulent poison, even Sag struggled to withstand its effects.
If this continued, he would truly be poisoned.
"I admit defeat!"
He said viciously, then looked at the two entrances that had already been shrouded in red. With a mischievous smile, he said, "Do you think you can trap me like this?"
The fiery aura once again enveloped his body, and with a slight bounce, Sag created a smoke ring with his foot and disappeared in an instant.
BOOM!!
The ceiling was smashed open! Countless fragments of rock fell downward. Within the thick layers, a figure like flowing fire quickly broke through the separation between the third and fourth levels and rose from the fiery sea, reaching the desert-like third level.
Of course, there was no desert in the prison. What resembled a desert was the dust that had settled from the prisoners who had died and decomposed in the third level.
BOOM!
The desert was suddenly smashed open, and a pitch-black shadow burst out. Even the starving and tortured prisoners of the third level couldn't catch a clear glimpse before the ghostly black shadow created several smoke rings and broke through the ceiling of the second level.
Aside from the connected holes going up and down, it seemed as if nothing had happened.
Second Level, Beast Hell.
This level of the prison housed various different ferocious beasts, and the largest monster among them was the Sphinx, currently resting in a spacious hall.
It was a gigantic human-faced lion, looking both worried and vicious. Within this prison, whether it was the prisoners or the beasts, all of them held a deep fear of this creature.
BOOM!
From the ground where it lay, a sudden explosion rang out, and the immense force sent the Sphinx flying with a stunned expression on its face. As it flew, it let out a roar that sounded unsure if it was of anger or astonishment.
"Face~~!"
The black shadow burst out from beneath the second level and broke through the ceiling above. It continued upward until it reached the underground first level, a place covered in sharp grass as hard as steel and trees with leaves as sharp as swords. Without stopping, it charged upward.
At the topmost layer of Impel Down, which was also the entrance, there were naturally a large number of guards.
The black shadow directly smashed through the top layer and, in a flash, reached an office where guards were stationed.
A black-red torrent surged forth from the moment he entered, causing the guards who hadn't reacted yet to turn pale and fall to the ground.
"Found it, Den Den Mushi!"
Sag picked up a Den Den Mushi and turned to leave. Looking at the huge door at the entrance, he let out a sinister laugh, and his fist rose once more, punching the door.
BOOM!!
The massive door was shattered by his punch, and even the drawbridge that had already been raised outside was broken into several pieces, falling onto the calm sea.
Impel Down was located in the Calm Belt.
In the absence of wind, the sea here was as still as dead water.
"Hehehe"
Sag turned to look at the hole in the ground, and the smile on his face grew wider, gradually baring his teeth.
"Hahahaha, woo-ha-ha-ha!"
Holding the Den Den Mushi, he strode out of the door arrogantly, laughing wildly, "I'm out, aren't I!"
He could sense Magellan's aura chasing upward from underground.
However, that guy couldn't fly, so no matter how strong that virulent poison was, it would have to slowly climb up the stairs.
As long as he didn't stay in that toxic gas, the weak poison that entered through skin contact and breathing would soon be expelled from his body.
As long as he left before Magellan reached the top, that would be fine.
He just needed to first ask where Lily and the others were.
...
"Direction, southeast, northwest, give me a position. Estimate the distance for me; if you don't have it, then calculate it based on the distance to Enies Lobby, but you have to calculate the position from the Calm Belt. How many days does it take to get to Enies Lobby from your location?"
On the Den Den Mushi, a snail-like face that resembled Lily's fell into deep thought before speaking, "We are currently in the northern part of Novae in the Kingdom of Sovermania, located at the intersection of the sixth and seventh routes. If we use Enies Lobby as the center for calculation, we are in the northwest direction, specifically at the ten o'clock position from the Calm Belt. In terms of distance, it will take about a month to travel there by ship."
"Sag, are you in Impel Down? We can get intelligence on Impel Down from Donquixote Doflamingo, and then..."
"And then I'll die in Impel Down. This damn place doesn't even have a permanent log pose, how can you guys get through the Gates of Justice?"
"Wait there for me!"
Impel Down was a fortress, and a permanent log pose was useless here.
Without a ship, escape from the Calm Belt was impossible.
Besides Magellan, if news of his presence got out, the Navy would also be alerted.
With Kizaru's speed, he wouldn't take long to arrive.
It was too early to confront them.
"Norton Sag!"
Suddenly, a dull roar echoed from behind, and the central elevator on the top floor rumbled as Magellan, his eyes bloodshot and body drenched in red venom, appeared, his wounds still bleeding.
"You can't escape! Without a ship, we're in the Calm Belt!"
As the elevator came to a stop, Magellan's body was once again enveloped by the red venom, forming a giant that quickly approached Sag.
Sag glanced back at him and laughed, "After taking so many of my attacks, you can still move. Not bad. Hey, isn't it boring to be cooped up here forever? Why don't you come out to sea with me and experience the romance of the ocean?"
"Don't joke around!"
Magellan said solemnly, "A guy like you has no chance of getting out! You're a Devil Fruit user, so you can't even set foot in the sea."
That kind of speed was something ordinary people could never achieve.
Only a Devil Fruit user could perform such a'miracle' and do what humans couldn't.
"Even if I'm not a Devil Fruit user, I have no intention of going into the sea."
Sag shook his head. He clenched his fist and unleashed another 'Galaxy Impact,' forcing Magellan back a few meters and causing the venom to splatter outward, staining the area red.
More blood gushed from Magellan's wounds, but overall, the damage wasn't enough.
Even with his pressure points pierced by Sag's Haki, Magellan's body endured the blows without any apparent decrease in combat strength.
This guy's physical prowess was no joke. After taking so many punches, he could still move and maintain his fighting prowess.
If it came to a one-on-one battle, it would take several days to determine a winner.
However, Sag had no intention of dragging it out.
His plan was to get out of here.
"Hmm, still not enough."
After forcing Magellan back with his punch, Sag felt something was amiss. He circled the massive structure of the top level, deep in thought. Suddenly, he took a step forward, leaped into the air, and looked down at Impel Down.
"Not enough noise. Don't try to hide; let me give you some more news to boost my fame!"
He held the stone pillar with one hand and clenched his other fist, unleashing two black flashes.
"Galaxy Impact!!"
BOOM!!
This time, the Haki-imbued impact resembled a dome, enveloping half of the massive Impel Down. With a loud bang, half of the building cracked and crumbled, sending clouds of dust and debris into the air.
"Now that's more like it!"
Sag laughed loudly. Just as he was about to throw another punch, a gigantic red giant emerged from the half-destroyed building, reaching up to grab him.
"Don't even think about running!"
Magellan's angry voice rang out.
"Hmph, never mind. This should be enough. Magellan, be sure to tell the world that I'm different from the Golden Lion. That old man escaped directly, but I punched my way out!"
He held the stone pillar with both hands and twisted his feet, bouncing off it and facing the ten o'clock direction as he prepared to throw it.
"Hundredfold·South Dipper Sky Pillar!"
Bang!
The sound of breaking air echoed as Sag's body spun downward.
As he released the pillar, it suddenly accelerated, becoming a blur of speed. Sag disappeared from sight, dodging the giant venomous hand and standing on the pillar, which rapidly moved away from Impel Down, leaving only his maniacal laughter behind.
"I'm out! Whoo-ha-ha-ha!"
Escape with Moonwalk?
There was no need for that! That had been his initial plan before obtaining a Devil Fruit.
But now that he had the Mo Mo Fruit, he had many more options.
The simplest method was to amplify the speed of an object and use it to escape.
All he needed to do was throw something, which was effortless!
Impel Down. He had broken out!
