The Wind Release Chakra Nature must have been the one Danzō dropped.
Now, with wind added to the list, Uchiha Iizumi had mastered all five fundamental chakra natures: Fire, Earth, Water, Wind, and Lightning.
And this Wind Release Chakra Nature, stolen from Danzō—himself a master of Wind Release—was far from ordinary.
It had instantly become one of Iizumi’s most dominant chakra affinities, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with his already strong Fire and Earth natures.
It also finally unlocked the potential of several Wind Release techniques he’d previously acquired during past executions of Justice.
As for the other two—Shadow Imitation Technique and Water Turbulence Technique—they were mere afterthoughts.
Danzō truly was a treasure trove. And with his crimes blazing red with infamy, Uchiha Iizumi found his blood boiling once more. The urge to kill—especially the wicked—was nearly impossible to suppress.
But then, the Investigation Corps headquarters came into view.
And for now, Iizumi had to reluctantly rein in his violent impulses.
As long as Danzō still walked the ninja world, Justice would never rest.
…
“Fugaku-sama. The matter concerning the Tsukikage clan’s matricide has been resolved. ‘Tsukikage Shinku,’ the last surviving heir of the Tsukikage line, has accepted the Investigation Corps’ verdict.”
Inside the office, an Investigation Corps agent reported to Uchiha Fugaku.
“Furthermore, Tsukikage Shinku has stated that the Tsukikage clan will not challenge the legitimacy of Uchiha Iizumi’s enforcement actions. However, he requests that the details of the case remain confidential.”
“He… wants to preserve dignity for his younger brother,” the agent added.
Fugaku exhaled slowly, heavy with emotion.
“Murders born of family… they always weigh heavily on the heart.”
Just as Fugaku was about to speak, the office door was gently tapped from outside.
“Come in…”
The word “in” hadn’t even left his lips when the door swung open on its own.
Fugaku didn’t even need to look. He already knew who stood beyond.
After all, even the most hawkish members of the Uchiha clan made at least a token show of respect toward their Clan Head.
But only one person in the entire Uchiha clan dared to ignore him completely.
And sure enough, as Fugaku glanced up, he saw Uchiha Iizumi stepping into the room, followed by his young apprentice, Izumi.
“Iizumi… you—”
“…Huh!?”
Fugaku’s attention was instantly snatched by the golden-haired boy dangling from Iizumi’s hand.
Something about the kid… it felt familiar.
He squinted.
Then, his calm eyes flickered with shock.
He recognized him.
Uchiha Iizumi casually tossed the boy forward.
Naruto Uzumaki landed hard on his backside, yelping in pain.
But as soon as the cry escaped, he clamped his hand over his mouth, trembling in fear—terrified of drawing Iizumi’s wrath.
“Iizumi… what is this child…?” Fugaku’s mind felt like it was about to explode. His scalp tingled.
He couldn’t believe it.
Uchiha Iizumi had brought the Nine-Tails Jinchūriki straight into the Uchiha Investigation Corps headquarters!
Fugaku nearly screamed the title “Nine-Tails Jinchūriki” out loud—then choked it back, swallowing the words mid-air.
Instead, he forced out:
“How did you bring Naruto Uzumaki here?”
The usually composed Uchiha Clan Head spoke with sudden urgency.
Fugaku admitted—this was a shock. He hadn’t seen it coming.
The village already suspected the Uchiha clan of involvement in the Nine-Tails attack all those years ago.
To ease that suspicion, Fugaku had specifically ordered the clan to keep their distance from the Jinchūriki.
He’d even personally warned his wife—her best friend had been Naruto’s mother—urging her not to get close to him.
He feared she’d grow soft.
But now…
After all the warnings…
He’d forgotten about Uchiha Iizumi.
Or perhaps…
Iizumi didn’t give a damn about his Clan Head’s orders.
“He disrupted Leaf Village’s peace. He’s interfering with legitimate business operations. In my eyes, he’s guilty. Even under the village’s lenient laws, he’d be charged with multiple offenses. I brought him here—this is my duty.”
Uchiha Iizumi spoke coldly, without emotion.
Fugaku: “…You’re taking this way too seriously.”
“But what about the Hokage?” Fugaku began.
Before he could finish, Iizumi cut him off smoothly:
“The Hokage knows. Root knows. When I arrested Naruto Uzumaki, Danzō sent Root ninja to interfere. I killed two and a half of them.”
Fugaku: “???”
Iizumi continued:
“Unfortunately, the Hokage arrived shortly after with Anbu. He tried to cover for Danzō—abusing his authority. He even attempted to shield Naruto Uzumaki. But when he sensed I might turn on him… he backed down.”
Fugaku: “???”
Fugaku was certain—his entire day had been packed with more information than he’d received in the past week.
He never expected that the same Uchiha Iizumi who had just executed three Tsukikage clan members yesterday would now cause a full-blown crisis today.
Arresting the Jinchūriki?
Killing Root operatives?
Confronting Danzō?
Facing off against the Hokage—so much so that the Hokage had to retreat?
And worse—
If his guess was right, Iizumi had already prepared for armed conflict with the Hokage.
He wasn’t just bold.
He was ruthless.
Far more extreme than even the Uchiha’s fiercest hawk faction.
At least those extremists only pressured Fugaku to plan a coup.
But Iizumi?
He’d already acted.
Fugaku remained frozen, speechless.
The way he now looked at Naruto Uzumaki wasn’t like staring at a hot potato.
It was like staring at a red-hot iron ingot.
And the way he looked at Iizumi…
It was the gaze of a man who saw madness.
In Fugaku’s eyes—
No Uchiha ninja, not even the most radical of the clan’s extremists, was as insane as Uchiha Iizumi.
So the question remained:
Could he, as Clan Head, lock this child up in the Leaf Village prison?
Fugaku fell silent.
He didn’t know how long he stood there, lost in thought, mentally weighing every possibility—before finally opening his mouth.
“Iizumi…”
“If you attempt to abuse your authority, to obstruct Justice in the name of protecting Naruto Uzumaki… then I’ll take him straight to the Leaf Village prison myself. I’ll lock him up with my own hands.”
Uchiha Iizumi didn’t even flinch. He interrupted again.
“If you truly do that… then in my eyes, you’re not just a leader. You’re a tolerant of evil. You’re my enemy.”
Fugaku: “…”
Iizumi had said it all.
What could he possibly reply?
…
