Crossing the Golden Gate, Liam was surprised to find themselves in an Underground Dimension. At the center of the dimension stood a Pyramid of normal size, only a dozen meters tall, with Red-robed Figures scattered around, engaged in unknown activities. In front of the Pyramid, a plaza featured a Black Hole that continuously rotated, spewing out various objects. Liam even saw the Doomsday Bell being ejected from it.
It seemed that not only had the so-called Divine Realm collapsed, but also the Thousand-meter Pyramid Dimension that surrounded it. As Liam was thinking, several people burst out of the Black Hole, which then closed.
It appeared that the remaining inhabitants of the dimension had evacuated, bringing all important items with them before retreating.
As soon as they emerged, one of them shouted loudly, "It's bad! Enemies have infiltrated. They triggered the trap in the Blood God Temple, preventing the Doomsday Bell from charging. They killed the president and destroyed the dimension."
At this, the Red-robed Blood God Cult members on the plaza began to panic. Just then, another person emerged from a small hole nearby and shouted in a panic, "It's bad! Professors from Auror and Castrobrusso have appeared nearby. I saw them escorting the companions who had previously attacked them. They will discover us soon."
The news caused even more chaos on the plaza. Suddenly, a voice began to chant, "Avada Kedavra."
A green light shot out from the temple, striking the person who had been shouting the loudest. Everyone immediately fell silent, and the plaza became deathly quiet.
"Shut the hell up and listen to me!" a Middle-aged Man in Blood-red Robe with Gold Trim emerged from the temple atop the Pyramid. "The situation isn't that dire yet. We have enough traps and guards at our entrance. It will take them a while to get in. We still have time."
The middle-aged man looked down at the crowd, noting that they had calmed down, and continued, "Gilberto, take ten people to guard the entrance and try to delay their attack. The rest of you, come with me to find the intruders who sneaked into the Blood God Temple dimension. The only exit from that dimension is here, and Apparition is forbidden. So the saboteurs must still be here. Whoever the Aurors sent to do this is undoubtedly one of their elite. If we capture them, we can negotiate with the people above."
As soon as he finished speaking, a man with a brutish face led ten Wizards out of the small hole where the messenger had emerged. The remaining people dispersed, clearly preparing to hunt down Liam and the others.
Is it really necessary? Do two third-year Wizards really need to be chased by twenty or thirty adult Wizards? Liam muttered to himself as he and the now-awake Hermione used the surrounding caves to play hide-and-seek with their pursuers. During their escape, Liam discovered a dire situation: due to his severe injuries, his magic power would remain at the level of a third or fourth-year student for the next month.
After all, he had used spells far beyond his capabilities. The fact that he could fully recover from such injuries was already a remarkable outcome. However, for someone on the run, having only this level of magic power was a very bad situation.
Initially, they managed to evade a wave of pursuing Wizards with the help of the Disillusionment Charm. However, one of the Wizards in pursuit, who looked pale and weak, cut his arm and released his blood, then chanted a spell over it.
The fresh blood on the ground quickly transformed into Blood moths, each about the size of a palm. After circling for a moment, they flew toward Liam and his group, with the Wizards behind them following like they had discovered a treasure.
Damn, the Disillusionment Charm can't hide a person's scent. This is bad. Liam slowly raised his arm and aimed a Stunning Spell at the nearest pursuer before grabbing Hermione and running.
"There they are, don't let them get away." The Disillusionment Charm still obscured their true identities, but once they started running, the charm's invisibility effect was completely negated. The Wizards quickly caught up.
After turning a few corners, another group of Wizards suddenly appeared ahead, firing spells at Liam and Hermione. Fortunately, due to their previous practice, the two of them nimbly dodged the spells. However, this delay allowed the pursuers from behind to close in, trapping them in the corridor.
"Alohomora." Hermione pointed at a nearby iron door and cast the spell. The door opened, and they immediately slipped inside.
"Lumos." Liam raised his wand and looked around. He saw bags piled in the corners and row after row of wooden racks. Clearly, this was a warehouse.
"Binding Spell." Liam and Hermione used magic to secure the door, then used the Levitation Charm to stack the racks behind it. Strangely, the Wizards outside didn't blast the door open.
But soon, Liam understood why. After activating the Purple Mist Divine Art, he heard a somewhat sharp voice from outside: "Don't use explosive spells. We need the people inside alive, or we won't be able to use them to threaten the Aurors outside." Spells began to hit the door, and Liam could feel the protective spells they had cast starting to waver.
They raised their wands to reinforce the protective spells, but with their combined strength far inferior to that of the Wizards outside, their magic power was quickly depleted under the relentless attacks.
Finally, the protective spells on the door disappeared. A few seconds of silence followed, and then a dozen spells hit the iron door simultaneously, leaving a dozen dents of various sizes. By this point, Liam and Hermione had no magic power left to strengthen their defenses. Fortunately, the iron door held up against the first round of attacks, but it was likely to collapse under the next or the one after that.
As soon as the first round of attacks ended, Liam knew they couldn't hold out here. He had to resort to the last plan. He communicated with the Multiverse General Store to prepare the Emergency Escape and was about to pull Hermione when he saw her suddenly walk toward the door.
Liam grabbed her and asked, "What are you doing?"
Hermione, pulled back, sniffed and said, "Since our Disillusionment Charm didn't disappear when we ran, the people outside might not know how many of us there are. If I go out and draw them away, you might be safe."
"Stupid girl." Liam smiled and shook his head, then took Hermione's hand and said, "I have a magic trick. Just close your eyes, and when you feel a force pulling you, don't resist. We'll escape together."
Hermione closed her eyes as instructed, and Liam immediately activated the Emergency Escape. A flash of golden light, and the two of them vanished from the warehouse.
As soon as they disappeared, a new round of spells hit the iron door. The door could no longer hold and crashed to the ground, sending up a cloud of dust. Before the dust had even settled, the Wizards rushed in. But they found the warehouse empty; the invisible people who had fled into it had completely vanished.
