Chapter 197: Inheritance Knowledge of the Pureblood Family
Chapter 197: Inheritance Knowledge of the Pureblood Family
"Just a few insignificant suggestions." Ivan shook his head, not taking any credit.
He knew very well that even without him, George and Fred would have come up with these things eventually; he just accelerated the process.
"Come on, we all know how brilliant you are!" Fred said with a grin, thinking it was just Ivan being modest.
"I've said it before, inviting Hals to be our Special Advisor was the best decision we ever made." George picked up a finished Bang Firework and handed it to Ivan, gesturing for him to try it out.
"How about it? Want to experience our masterpiece?"
Ivan took it, and the Bang Firework looked just like a regular firework from the Muggle world, with a rough red paper covering and no logo yet.
In his past life, Ivan had always been interested in these fun magical gadgets, and now he had the chance to experiment with them firsthand.
He fiddled with it for a moment and quickly figured out how to activate it. He input a small amount of magic, and the top of the paper tube "whooshed", emitting a brilliant spark.
Then, a red firework streaked through the air, leaving a trail of red sparks.
But that was just the beginning. Streams of colorful sparks kept pouring out of the tube, darting around the room and exploding when they hit obstacles.
Dozens of fireworks darted around, occasionally colliding with walls or debris, causing a shower of sparks and turning the small storage room into a chaotic mess.
A few even flew toward the three of them standing in the middle. Ivan activated his Protective Ring, deflecting the fireworks with a burst of blue-purple sparks, which looked incredibly dazzling.
George and Fred were a bit disheveled from the fireworks but didn't mind, laughing and grinning despite being covered in soot. After all, this was exactly the effect they were aiming for.
"And that's not all. If someone tries to use a Vanishing Spell or any other spell to stop them, they'll regret it!"
George explained with a sinister smile, drawing his wand and casting a Stunning Spell at a darting Bang Firework.
With a flash of light, the targeted firework suddenly exploded, bursting with a loud bang. The fire spread out in the shape of a dragon's head, with blue-purple sparks flying everywhere, creating a spectacular display that extended several meters.
Ivan's mouth twitched. He thought that if the power were just a bit stronger, these could be sold as weapons.
Ivan recalled the magical gadgets that the Weasley Brothers had developed in the original timeline. They were called funny magical toys, but many were more like dangerous and illegal items.
For example, the Weasley Whizz-Bang Bang Firework, the "Wonder Witch" Love Potion, and another device that could turn an entire corridor into a swamp!
Ivan remembered that it was called a Portable Swamp, which could transform a corridor into a swampy landscape. If used well, it could be a strategic weapon!
It was a shame to use such things for pranks.
"By the way, George, how did you manage to create all these interesting things?" Ivan asked, curious about their sources of knowledge.
After all, with his current level four expertise in Alchemy, he couldn't create something like the Portable Swamp, but in the original timeline, George and Fred had managed to do so.
"I accidentally found many old books in Dad's study before we started school. We learned the knowledge to make these props from those books", George said without any intention of hiding it.
Knowledge passed down in Pureblood Families?
Ivan recalled the flying Muggle car he saw at the beginning of the term. It seemed to be personally modified by George and Fred's father, Arthur We.
Thinking about this, Ivan became even more interested in the magic prank shop the twins were starting. This was brand new Alchemy knowledge.
"By the way, Ivan, what did you think of that Bang Firework?" Fred asked eagerly.
"It was great. I think a lot of mischievous young witches and wizards will love it", Ivan quickly replied with a smile.
These things were perfect for creating explosions and chaos. With some improvements to increase their power, they could even be used against enemies.
"We thought so too!" George nodded, then enthusiastically discussed their sales plans and future improvements and research on magical items with Ivan.
Ivan combined his knowledge from his past life in the Muggle world and offered them a lot of advice. Some of this knowledge was even more advanced than what was currently used in the Muggle world.
Although this was all theory and Ivan had no practical experience, it didn't hinder George and Fred's understanding.
At first, they could still participate in the discussion, but soon it became Ivan talking alone.
George and Fred listened in amazement, and when Ivan started to feel a bit dry in the mouth, George asked with a peculiar expression.
"I just wanted to ask, is there anything you don't know?"
"Don't say it like that. I just read a lot of books! I learned this knowledge from some Muggle books. When it comes to making money, Muggles are a lot better than us wizards", Ivan shrugged and then hesitated, adding:
"There are things I don't know, of course."
George and Fred were very curious.
Ivan waved his wand, and a strange symbol formed from magical light points appeared in the air. This was one of the many characters given to him by the system.
"Have you seen anything like this before?" Ivan asked.
"No, it looks like some kind of symbol, maybe a new magical rune?" George shook his head, indicating he had never seen it before.
"Maybe we can try etching it onto magical materials to see if it does anything", Fred suggested a feasible idea.
Ivan nodded and quickly started experimenting, arranging a few of the characters in his mind randomly and trying to channel magic into them. However, nothing happened.
"Hmm, maybe it's not used like that", Fred said, scratching his head, a bit embarrassed.
If these characters were indeed a new magical rune, even if the arrangement was incorrect, there should have been some reaction, like an explosion.
Ivan stroked his smooth chin. As the one channeling the magic, he could sense more than George and Fred.
The characters did react to the magic, but it was extremely subtle.
