Chapter 196: Eternal Dao in a Cup, Dao Fruit Clash?
Chapter 196: Eternal Dao in a Cup, Dao Fruit Clash?
Time flies, and the years pass swiftly, a thousand years in the blink of an eye.
Shaohua remained seated by the Soul River, endless beams of light raining down from the void, purifying the entire river, imbuing it with a sacred aura.
"Ah!!!!"
The strange Dao Ancestors were howling in agony, enduring immense pain as their physical bodies were destroyed and their remains buried along the banks of the Soul River. Their soul essences were dragged into the Lifesoil by Shaohua, where they were refined.
They could feel their soul essences decaying at an alarming rate, a terrifying speed that left them in shock.
In the past, they had not been without defeat; some had even died more than once, only to be resurrected by the Dao Ancestors or Final Path Ascendants of their clans. They had experienced similar situations before.
But never had their soul essences collapsed so visibly, changing day by day, disintegrating rapidly.
It was nearly impossible to kill a Quasi-Immortal Emperor or extinguish a Dao Ancestor. This was a universal truth that held true across all ages and worlds. The title of "Emperor" bestowed a form of immortality, making it impossible for such beings to be easily destroyed.
"What strange technique is this, that it seems to suppress us?"
"An anomaly, it must be the anomaly the Primordial Ancestor spoke of!"
"I cannot accept this, to perish without even sending a message back!"
These once exalted beings, revered as supreme, could no longer maintain their composure. They realized they were truly perishing, and their deaths were happening too quickly, defying all logic.
No matter how they had overlooked the suffering of others, no matter how they had coldly watched the tragedies of others, when the threat of death loomed over them, who could remain calm?
"It is time for this to end, time to pass away", one of them said with a trembling voice, the first to be utterly annihilated.
This place was isolated from the myriad worlds, not a real world but a blurry realm, like the projection of some vast ancient land, forming a world that transcended the ordinary.
Time flowed, and in this otherworldly place, within the Lifesoil, one Dao vortex after another appeared, each suppressing the soul essence of a Dao Ancestor.
Shaohua's soul essence sat at the center of the Lifesoil, employing various methods to remain in the Mortal Realm, coupled with the Great Unbound Soaring, True Vital Nourishment, Feather Ascension, and the Great Curtain of Mist, causing the entire Lifesoil to vibrate.
The Dao resonated with her breath, in perfect harmony.
Dao patterns expanded, and the brilliant Emperor's Law shone, erasing everything in her breath, in the long-lasting rhythm of the Dao.
Fragments of the Dao surged like a sea, filling the desolate land of ultimate law, their aura growing stronger.
This was the power of true world destruction, almost touching another level, suppressing those strange Quasi-Immortal Emperors again and again, leaving them no chance to rise again.
Shaohua was already infinitely close to the realm of the Final Path. Within the same major realm, if there was a significant disparity in strength, she could naturally and thoroughly destroy her opponents.
However, she had returned hastily, and her condition was not ideal. The immense effort required to eliminate her enemies forced her to slow down.
Years passed, one, two, three, a thousand, and during this time, she also "cultivated the Dao" within her inner world, extracting many useful things from those strange Dao Ancestors.
A fire burned brightly in front of her, a radiant and eternal flame. Upon closer inspection, it was composed of countless scripture shadows, burning brilliantly.
The light of civilization flickered, the Dao rain fell, and boundless mist rose.
Shaohua rose, her mind unprecedentedly calm.
The mist could not obstruct her vision. The fire, the rain, seemed to illuminate a tangible path, leading to the unknown.
Unconsciously, the Dao vortices within the Lifesoil had stopped spinning. The strange Dao Ancestors she had suppressed had all perished, their remnants drifting into the fire, turning into ashes.
"Another path, transformed in this way, using multiple evolutionary paths as fuel, and countless scriptures left by civilizations as the spark, to ignite the flame of the Dao, burning away the dross, extracting the essence, and refining the Supreme Dao Fruit!"
Shaohua awoke, enlightened. She had achieved the Supreme Unity Dao Fruit.
Once, she had divided the two major Dao Fruits, calling the one she cultivated in the Lifesoil the Eastern Sovereign Dao Fruit, which had already reached the pinnacle of the Dao Ancestor realm.
The other, which synthesized various systems, was called the Supreme Unity Dao Fruit, originally a blank Dao Fruit, but now it had also ascended to the Dao Ancestor level.
After quelling the Dark Turmoil across the myriad worlds, she had obtained the techniques of Heng Ren, Wu Shi, and Ye Fan. This was a simple matter, just a word.
Adding to this, the suppression and refinement of those strange Dao Ancestors provided her with significant insights. These beings had destroyed countless civilizations, imbuing them with an aura of immortality, and various scriptures were traced and manifested by her.
She also integrated the scriptures collected during her travels in the Immortal Ancient era, along with the techniques of Heng Ren, Wu Shi, and Ye Fan, to create the civilization fire of the Supreme Unity Dao Fruit.
Her cultivation was rapid, having not experienced the rise and fall of many civilizations. In a sense, the Supreme Unity Dao Fruit achieving the Dao Ancestor level owed much to the "friendly contributions" of those strange Dao Ancestors.
However, as the Supreme Unity Dao Fruit approached the Final Path, it inevitably clashed with the Eastern Sovereign Dao Fruit. Mysterious orders flickered between the two Dao Fruits, ready to collide at any moment.
If they were to collide, it could mean the destruction of her very being.
"The fire of civilization, illuminating the myriad worlds, eternal and unextinguished, ultimately rooted in the Secret Realm Art, a unique Sixth Secret Realm?"
She murmured to herself, a charming smile appearing on her lips. She stood still, serene and pure, the light of civilization flickering nearby, illuminating the path ahead.
Then, Shaohua naturally raised her hand, and an ancient cup appeared, landing in her delicate hands.
Instantly, endless light rain fell, entering the cup, the fragrance of tea and the aroma of wine mingling, a myriad of flavors contained within a single cup.
The ancient Dao entered the cup, can you drink a cup?
Her eyes were clear, and she drank the cup in one go. The moment it entered her mouth, everything changed, both for her and the world.
The world became much clearer in her eyes, her soul essence and body becoming lighter, as if the final burdens were lifted, purifying and elevating her mind and body.
She saw the essence of all things, looking through the Soul River, seeing the ancient underworld, the Celestial Emperor's burial pit, and the Four Poles floating soil.
Beyond the Boundary Sea, the lights of the myriad heavens dimmed, and the bustling world of mortals lay fully revealed.
The grand Dao light, scriptures, and secret techniques bloomed simultaneously, swirling on her tongue like the essence of ancient times.
For a moment, a kaleidoscope of colors and phenomena transformed the entire Soul River into a sacred and peaceful land.
Heng Ren glanced at these phenomena, then at her friend, her eyes sparkling, and a captivating smile curved her lips.
Shaohua was unaware that while she was immersed in the splendor of the world, someone was admiring her as part of the scenery.
She meticulously absorbed the rare insights of the Dao, generating profound feelings and revelations, interpreting various scriptures and techniques.
In a state of mental clarity, her Dao cultivation advanced once more, subtly but steadily, enriching her being from all fronts.
This brought her not only to the threshold of the Final Path Ascendants but even pushed her through it, almost securing her footing!
However, at the last moment, she retreated.
She was still lacking in some aspects, far from reaching the point where everything would naturally fall into place.
Forcing the breakthrough would be too risky, likely leading to major problems.
The Destined Land Art had not yet reached its peak, and the collision of the two Dao Fruits posed a significant danger. Attempting to force it would likely result in her death and the dissipation of her Dao.
She was not like a certain "Desolate One", who could always break through in the most intense and unstoppable manner, disregarding accumulation, enlightenment, and opportunity, and simply push forward with brute force.
She couldn't learn that, truly couldn't, and fundamentally couldn't even try.
"Emptiness of Ten Thousand Dao is just a means; the true Imperial Dao True Essence is the essence of the ancient Dao, alas, my accumulation is not enough, only half a cup." Shaohua savored the thought, smacking her lips and sighing softly.
After reaching the pinnacle of the six realms of the Destined Land Art, one would derive six true meanings, such as the Eternal Mortal Realm, Great Unbound Soaring, True Vital Nourishment, Feather Ascension, the Great Curtain of Mist, and this time, the miraculous scenery of the Dao.
The techniques she had previously used, such as the Three-Inch Mortal Realm, the temporal vortex, cocoon transformation, the fourteen-colored sword wheel, the celestial armor, and the Emptiness of Ten Thousand Dao, were all derived from these true meanings, similar but distinct.
True meanings themselves are a unique and transcendent state. As Shaohua approached the realm of the ultimate Dao, her reliance on various techniques would decrease.
She no longer needed to use various techniques to confront enemies. When in doubt, she could simply merge the true meanings and unleash the "Eternal Divine Illumination" to settle things!
Shaohua believed that one must learn to comfort oneself; insufficient accumulation was certainly not her fault.
She changed her perspective and gained a different insight.
"It's all the fault of those strange creatures. Ten Quasi-Immortal Emperors can't even fill a cup, a bunch of failures. I really want to crush and scatter their bones again."
If she could accumulate for a few more eons, perhaps a full cup would suffice to ascend directly to the rank of Immortal Emperor.
But, would Shaohua, who is fleeting, really have the time to wait for that?
Shaohua didn't know, and neither did she realize it.
After a long while, she slowly awoke, her long, graceful eyelashes fluttering, her eyes like a galaxy, reflecting the rise and fall of the world and the myriad phenomena, stunning the passage of time.
"Are you awake?" A clear, cold voice sounded by her ear, and the ethereal Heng Ren, dressed in white, spoke.
The two were very close, almost within arm's reach, feeling each other's breath, and a subtle fragrance wafted over.
"I didn't fail my mission." Shaohua smiled brightly, first acknowledging her own efforts and hardships.
"Your strength seems to have increased." Heng Ren asked with certainty.
"Somewhat." Shaohua smiled, extending her long, fair fingers to create a universe in her palm, and with a snap, Chaos Qi spread, and a vast realm was born.
Heng Ren saw the essence of the Dao within and naturally reached out to take it, her initiative at its peak.
"Tough kid, you really aren't the least bit polite with me." Shaohua rolled her eyes gracefully.
"Yours is mine." Heng Ren said calmly, a rare jest in her voice.
After spending time with someone, she had undergone subtle changes. After being apart for over a million years, she was momentarily moved, leading to this statement.
Shaohua was first taken aback, then a mysterious smile appeared on her beautiful face. She extended a finger and gently lifted the chin of the cold beauty before her. "Then you are mine as well."
"Hmph!" Heng Ren, however, was unmoved, her expression indifferent as she spat out the word and lightly slapped her.
Then, Shaohua exploded right before her eyes!
In the next moment, two identical Shaohuas reappeared.
Heng Ren, seeing the two identical "Shaohuas", silently raised her other hand.
"I'll be off first. Let her stay with you. Take care of the other me!"
One Shaohua turned and disappeared, heading home to visit her loved ones, while the other remained, arms crossed, vigilantly watching Heng Ren, who was about to strike.
"Two distinct Dao Fruits with different origins?" Heng Ren, being who she was, quickly noticed the anomaly and understood why Shaohua had split into two.
It wasn't a mere clone to appease her; it was a division of her essence, creating two identical individuals, each possessing a Dao Fruit.
The problem was that the two Dao Fruits were significantly different in power. One had briefly reached the ultimate realm, while the other had just entered the Dao Ancestor stage.
The Dao Fruits clashed, and Shaohua, having not had time to separate them, split herself in two after Heng Ren's strike.
The original left, seeking dear Wu Shi, and entered the splendid world of the myriad heavens, learning about the major events and changes over the past million years.
"You've all grown so much." Shaohua listened intently, her eyes and lips curved in a gentle smile, her face showing satisfaction.
Her old friends were thriving, and her homeland was growing stronger, despite the great calamity. There was still hope, and the future was bright.
On their way, the Western Sovereign arrived, and mother and daughter reunited in a heartfelt embrace, tears of joy streaming down their faces.
The Western Sovereign accompanied her long-lost daughter to many places.
Shaohua marveled at how much time had changed, even making the once familiar mortal world seem strange.
Meanwhile, the other Shaohua was taken by Heng Ren to train.
The two stunning women sat facing each other, earnestly discussing the Dao and contemplating their paths ahead.
After understanding Shaohua's idea of using the two Dao Fruits to reach a higher realm, Heng Ren pondered and applied her unparalleled wisdom and talent.
"I have an idea. We are on different paths. If we consider each of us as a Dao Fruit and try to advance by colliding our Dao Fruits, what would happen?"
Heng Ren had directly grasped the theory of advancing through Dao Fruit collision and was ready to try it with Shaohua.
Clearly, she understood that defeating the strange creatures and quelling the so-called ultimate Dark Turmoil was only a temporary respite.
If they didn't seize every opportunity, the next, even more terrifying darkness would plunge them into irreparable disaster!
