"Yes, one time her bag was stolen, and I used magic to save her. After that, we got together!"

Dave replied with a grin.

Jerry understood immediately, and it was no wonder Balthazar was upset. Balthazar was counting on Dave to save his lover, who had been sealed for a thousand years, but Dave was more focused on his romantic life.

Balthazar had found Dave, the inheritor of Merlin's magic power, not only to fulfill Merlin's wish to defeat Morgana but also to rescue Veronica, who had been sealed away for a thousand years by Balthazar's own body.

However, after a thousand years, Balthazar's love for Veronica remained unchanged, making him quite the romantic.

After all, over a thousand years, Balthazar must have encountered many different women, yet he remained true to his heart. This was something Jerry couldn't help but admire.

If it were him, Jerry wasn't sure he could have done the same.

"By the way, Jerry, how is your magic power now? What Mage level have you reached?"

At this point, Balthazar seemed to remember something and asked Jerry hopefully.

"I'll help you test it!"

Balthazar approached Jerry, placed his hand on Jerry's forehead, and closed his eyes to begin sensing.

Dave, intrigued by Balthazar's incredulous expression, quickly asked.

Balthazar glanced at Dave with a hint of disdain before turning back to Jerry.

"If it weren't for the Dragon Ring choosing Dave, I would have thought you were Merlin reincarnated. In just six months, you've risen from level 30 to level 200, a leap of 170 levels!"

"Level 200?"

Jerry wasn't overly surprised. If he relied solely on the Meditation Technique, it would be incredibly difficult to advance 170 levels in eight months, let alone 70 levels. Even with the help of Brain Boost, it wouldn't be that easy.

The significant breakthrough was mainly due to his Sorcerer Bloodline.

Balthazar's eyes lit up as if a realization had struck him.

Originally, Balthazar's plan was to train Dave to at least his own level, then release Morgana and use their combined strength to kill her, rescuing his beloved Veronica.

However, considering Dave's current progress, along with his girlfriend and school commitments, it would likely take at least ten to eight years to implement the plan.

Once a person has hope, they cling to it desperately.

Before finding Dave, the heir of Merlin, Balthazar could endure the loneliness. But now that he had found him, the hope of success was within reach, and the thousand years of waiting and loneliness suddenly resurfaced.

He really wanted to resolve the issue with Morgana and reunite with his long-lost love as soon as possible.

He was no longer willing to wait another ten to eight years.
