The venue fell silent.
In that moment, You Xuan felt as if all eyes in the vicinity were intentionally or unintentionally fixed on him.
In just about a second, the atmosphere around him changed drastically. It was as if a paused scene had suddenly been fast-forwarded, with all the students frantically grabbing their duel disks and rushing towards their nearest opponents.
To them, the choice of opponent no longer mattered.
As long as they weren't caught by the Demon King, they considered themselves winners!

As he lifted his head, filled with resentment, he saw that the person who had snatched away his chosen opponent was actually one of his good friends. His friend turned to look at him, pushed up his glasses, and said in a low voice, "Sorry, Yuichi."

The Yellow-robed Demon King had somehow appeared beside them, cheerfully observing their duel!

Bespectacled Boy: "..."
"..."
"I activate the trap card 'Three Troublemaking Brothers' and special summon three Troublemaking Tokens to your field."
"Then I activate the continuous trap 'Warring States.' Since you have a Beast-Type Troublemaking Token on your field, you cannot summon any monsters."
"Alright, now it's your turn. Take your time, there's no rush."
Bespectacled Boy: "..."
Seeing his opponent's face turn red with frustration as he stared at his hand, deep in thought but seemingly unable to play any cards, You Xuan began to zone out.
