Chapter 193: Enlightenment Spell (Third Update)
Chapter 193: Enlightenment Spell (Third Update)
"We need to figure out Witch’s true identity. Her strength is growing more and more, and if we don’t uncover her true identity, she could become a major threat in the future."
Nick Fury said firmly.
As the director of S.H.I.E.L.D., he had to maintain control over the entire situation. Not just Witch, but even Captain America was under his constant surveillance.
Any extraordinary beings, even if they appeared harmless now, had to be treated as potential threats to be preemptively managed. Otherwise, if anything went wrong, they would be caught off guard.
This was the policy S.H.I.E.L.D. had always followed.
On the other side, Jerry, riding Black Coal, quickly returned to Queens.
He jumped into the Box Space through the window. This second Box Space was likely a temporary setup by Quirrell, so it only contained a grassy field and a simple wooden cabin.
At that moment, twelve newly refurbished Robots stood still on the grass, awaiting Jerry’s commands.
"Without surveillance, I bet you think I won’t believe it!"
A slight sneer appeared on Jerry’s lips.
He didn’t believe S.H.I.E.L.D. wouldn’t tamper with these Robots, but he wasn’t worried.
Because he had already thought of a solution.
"Hungarian Mirror Trap!"
Walking up to a hundred-square-meter mirror he had prepared, Jerry pressed one hand against the mirror’s surface, causing ripples to appear.
With a light wave of his other hand, the twelve Robots immediately flew up and lined up, entering the Spatial within the mirror.
Jerry then stepped into the mirror Spatial as well.
The Box Space was an extension of his own Spatial, created using the Traceless Spell, so it was connected to the external Spatial, especially when the box was opened.
However, the mirror Spatial was different. It was a Magic Spatial, a completely separate realm from reality.
No matter how advanced the communication devices, they couldn’t establish a connection across different Spatials.
Just like when Iron Man and War Machine threw the Robots into the mirror Spatial Jerry had opened, Ivan couldn’t remotely control them anymore.
As long as Jerry didn’t remove the Robots from the mirror Spatial in the Marvel world, S.H.I.E.L.D. would never be able to use the devices inside the Robots to uncover his secrets.
Moreover, Jerry had no immediate plans to use these Robots in the Marvel world.
In the Marvel world, technology was highly advanced, and various high-tech weapons were commonplace. The Robots’ power wasn’t as useful as his Magic.
He intended to use these Robots primarily in other worlds, such as Harry Potter or The Sorcerer's Apprentice, where they could leverage the information gap.
Many Magic Mini Worlds lacked advanced technology, and in certain situations, these Robots could serve as a powerful trump card.
As for recharging and ammunition replenishment, those weren’t issues.
Both the Harry Potter world and The Sorcerer's Apprentice world had basic electricity supplies. If the power ran out, he could always find a place to recharge.
If he couldn’t get the exact ammunition, he could ask S.H.I.E.L.D. or Tony, the former arms dealer, for some. Alternatively, once his Transfiguration level was high enough, he could transfigure the ammunition himself.
Anyway, as long as he was in the Marvel world, these Robots would remain in the mirror realm, and S.H.I.E.L.D. would have no way of gathering any information.
Moreover, Jerry had other plans for these Robots.
After entering the mirror Spatial, Jerry approached one of the Robots and began to chant a spell:
"Awaken the essence of all things!"
A beam of magical light shot into the Robot’s mechanical body. Without Jerry using the controller, the Robot instantly activated, its two eyes flashing red light continuously.
A moment later, it slowly opened its mouth and, with a stutter, managed to utter two words.
"Hello."
"Hello, from now on, your name will be 'One'!"
Jerry nodded in satisfaction.
"I am called One!"
The spell Jerry had just used was the most commonly used in Alchemy—the Enlightenment Spell.
The Enlightenment Spell is a high-level spell in Alchemy, requiring a Witch to infuse a bit of their own thought into an object through a special magical incantation, thereby granting that object a certain level of consciousness.
Over time, the consciousness of these objects would gradually develop, and although they would not be as intelligent as real people, they would still possess a form of wisdom.
A typical example is the Sorting Hat at Hogwarts, which was enchanted with the combined thoughts of the four house founders.
Other examples include the Guardian Statues at Hogwarts, the Gargoyle in the headmaster’s office, Arthur’s Magic Car, and the pieces in Wizard Chess.
Jerry was now using the Enlightenment Spell from Alchemy to awaken the consciousness of these twelve Robots, giving them basic intelligence.
This way, they would be able to assist in battles even without his direct control. As his Alchemy skills improved, he could also try to make some magical modifications to these Robots, enhancing their power with both modern technology and magical abilities.
"You are Two, you are Three, you are Twelve. You will all stay here for now!"
After awakening all twelve Robots, Jerry left the mirror Spatial and returned to his room.
The twelve Robots were still in the initial stage of having their consciousness implanted and needed time to develop and grow.
"Well, it’s time to learn Dragon Taming and Sealing Magic!"
Back in his room, Jerry opened his Strange Panel.
The cooldown for Mini World’s portal had ended a few days ago. If not for waiting to receive these Robots, he would have started his next journey already.
"Begin the entry."
Eyes closed, then opened, and he found himself back in The Sorcerer’s Apprentice world.
The time in Mini World was synchronized. Since he had spent half a year at Hogwarts, it had also been half a year in this world since he left.
Riding his Flying Broom to Dave’s physics lab, Jerry could already feel the powerful magical fluctuations inside before he even entered.
"Knock! Knock! Knock!"
Raising his hand, he knocked on the lab door.
"Long time no see, Dave!"
Seeing that Dave had changed little, Jerry greeted him with a smile.
"Jerry!!!"
Recognizing the person at the door as Jerry, who had been gone for half a year, Dave’s face lit up with joy.
Behind him, Balthazar, who had been lying in a recliner, also stood up, surprised and delighted.
