Chapter 192: Big Brother, You're Really a Pervert, Aren't You? 【17】
Feng Ye and Rin left the Soggy Bone Forest, though he left behind a Flying Thunder God coordinate, his own unique mark on the location.
With too many coordinates to keep track of, and his spatial talent not being his forte, Feng Ye decided to leave only one coordinate in each of the Three Great Holy Lands. Together with the one Kakashi took to Loulan and the one kept in Konoha, that made five in total—a manageable number.
It is worth mentioning that Rin had formed a contract with the slug, making it her summon creature.
Even Jiraiya, as Tsunade's disciple, had not managed to do so, yet Rin, after spending two months with Feng Ye in the Soggy Bone Forest, had gotten along so well with the slug elders that she earned their recognition.
Rin's abilities had also grown in this time. She had stabilized at the level of a Jonin, and continued to refine her medical ninjutsu skills.
In her free time, she would seek Feng Ye's guidance on medical ninjutsu and the intricacies of the human body, and he gladly shared his knowledge with her.
Feng Ye's medical ninjutsu, passed down from Tsunade, had reached an extremely high level. He had mastered the Chakra Scalpel technique and was only a step away from Tsunade's level, making him more than qualified to teach Rin.
Through diligent training over the two months, Rin finally mastered the Palm Mystical Technique, a medical ninjutsu, just before they left the Soggy Bone Forest. This marked her true entry into the realm of advanced medical ninjutsu.
In fact, not many ninjas could master the Palm Mystical Technique, and Rin's talent in medical ninjutsu was not exceptionally high. Thus, for about a month and a half, she trained within Feng Ye's temporal domain, experiencing a different flow of time from the outside world.
As a result, she was now close to fourteen years old.
After relying on the Time Domain for her training, she finally understood why Feng Ye's body had developed so quickly. Though he was only a little older than her, he now looked like he was seventeen or eighteen, and it wasn't solely due to his cultivation of Immortal Techniques and body tempering.
About half a month later, Feng Ye and Rin arrived at a spot not far from Konoha.
"We're finally back," Rin said, tilting her head thoughtfully. "Unknowingly, we've been away for almost half a year. No... Including the actual training time, it should be almost a year."
"Mhm," Feng Ye nodded slightly.
Rin walked beside Feng Ye, her fingers lightly crossed, a sign of her nervousness. The way she looked at Feng Ye had a hint of sparkle in it, as if she was hesitating about something.
After walking for a while longer, she finally mustered the courage to step in front of Feng Ye and stop, as if she wanted to say something to him.
But just then, Feng Ye's expression changed slightly.
He turned to look in a direction not too far away.
Rin also paused, then turned to look in the same direction. At the end of her gaze, she saw a figure walking out from the road leading to Konoha.
Due to the distance, she couldn't make out the person's features, but she could sense that their chakra and aura were very familiar—it was Orochimaru, one of the Legendary Sannin of Konoha!
Swish! Feng Ye disappeared from his original spot.
Rin paused for a moment before quickly following suit.
Orochimaru was leaving Konoha. After taking a few steps, he sensed something and stopped, looking in a particular direction. There, he saw the figure of Feng Ye.
"I didn't expect to meet you again as I was leaving, Feng Ye," Orochimaru said, a slight smile on his face.
Feng Ye walked over and asked, "Teacher, are you... leaving Konoha?"
Orochimaru nodded. "Yes, I won't be returning for a short while. In my base, there are some experimental data I've accumulated over the years, as well as some ninjutsu secrets that you might find useful. I'll leave those in your care for now."
Orochimaru didn't seem injured, nor was he being pursued by Konoha. It seemed like he was just leaving of his own accord, but his words suggested that this departure wouldn't be a brief one; he intended to be gone for a long time.
"Because I'm going to search for something interesting," Orochimaru replied with a chuckle. "So, farewell for now. You should have completed your Ninjutsu training by now, and I'm curious to see how far you'll ultimately go."
Unlike the typical plot progression, Danzo was already dead.
Orochimaru had not collaborated with Danzo, so he hadn't performed any experiments with the Hashirama cells. Instead, he had directly begun his experiments and research on immortality.
Having completed the initial stages of his experiment, Orochimaru considered the current situation in Konoha and the presence of Feng Ye and decided to continue his research elsewhere.
With that, Orochimaru took a step and began walking away into the distance.
Feng Ye stood in place, watching Orochimaru depart until he had walked quite far away. Then, he spoke up: "In the Water Country, there's a survivor who has inherited the Ice Release bloodline limit, and there's also a sole inheritor of the Corpse Bone Chain bloodline limit."
"That information will be very useful to me," Orochimaru said, his footsteps pausing for a moment before he disappeared into the mountain forest.
Feng Ye stood still for a moment, watching Rin approach, then turned and said, "Let's go."
Feng Ye brought Rin to Orochimaru's base and asked her to wait outside while he went in to take a look. All the experimental materials and instruments had been cleared out; the entire base was empty.
Only in the deepest part of the base, in a room sealed with fuinjutsu, were Orochimaru's various experimental data and soul research from recent years stored.
After glancing at them for a moment, Feng Ye put them away. The experimental data wouldn't be of much use to him, but the soul research would be quite helpful. At the very least, he could use it as a reference to strengthen his soul.
...
Konoha.
Home.
Kakashi, who had already returned from Loulan, opened the door and saw three additional people in the living room: Feng Ye, Rin, and a girl he was meeting for the first time—Mitarashi Anko.
"Why did you bring back another girl... and such a young one at that..."
Kakashi looked at Anko, then at Feng Ye, a knowing look in his eye. He seemed to have figured something out about his brother.
"So, you're a lolicon, huh, Feng Ye?"
"What's with that look?" Feng Ye shot Kakashi a glance, too lazy to pay him any mind. He introduced them, saying, "Mitarashi Anko, Orochimaru's disciple... This is my younger brother, Kakashi. You should know him, Anko."
"Nice to meet you," Anko said with a cheerful smile.
When she had first received the news that Orochimaru was leaving Konoha and might not return for a while, she had found it difficult to accept. But upon learning that Orochimaru had asked Feng Ye to look after her, her mood immediately improved.
She had long admired this senior disciple of hers and had heard Yuhi Kurenai talk about him countless times. However, she had only met Feng Ye a handful of times and always from a distance.
This time, though.
She would finally receive guidance from this senior brother!
