Chapter 19: Fatigue Potion x30!
Chapter 19: Fatigue Potion x30!
After witnessing how powerful Chen Mo truly was,
the group erupted with enthusiasm.
Everyone rushed toward the counter,
as if slowing down for a second meant missing out on fortune.
Watching their speed rivaling lightning,
Chen Mo couldn’t help but chuckle.
“Money makes the mare go—looks like I’ll get that stockpile account sooner than expected!”
As he muttered to himself, he glanced at the time in the corner of the screen.
7:55 PM!
Time to clock in for work!
Though he knew he’d never struggle financially again,
he still chose to keep working as an internet cafe employee—
this way, he’d have first dibs on acquiring the cafe itself later.
“Old Wang, after shift, make sure you clock out and head back to the dorm early. Tomorrow morning, come get me to level up!”
“Sure thing, no problem! Whatever you say, Old Mo!”
After punching out, Wang Lei left the internet cafe without hesitation.
Meanwhile, Chen Mo began his first day of work since his reincarnation—
wiping screens, cleaning floors, arranging chairs, helping gamers find videos…
Already exhausted from pulling an all-nighter before,
the extra work left him completely drained.
Thankfully, night shifts as a netbar staff were the most laid-back.
He immediately grabbed two chairs next to Wang Teng and sprawled out.
“Tengzi, keep an eye on things for me—I’m off to meet the Duke of Zhou’s daughter for a bit!”
“Got it, Ge Mo! You rest easy!”
Chen Mo: “……”
Fatigue hit hard.
Even on the uncomfortable chairs, he dozed off instantly.
In his dreams, memories flickered—
his past life, this life, Wang Xue, Wang Lei, the club, the twin sisters…
Then suddenly, a bald, chubby face barged into his dreams.
He jolted awake, cursing,
“Damn it, old Lin, even in my reincarnation you haunt my dreams to nag about hoarding resources?!”
Grumbling, he checked the time—
but what he saw on Wang Teng’s screen shocked him.
The monitor showed two windows:
Dnf in the top-left corner,
and in the bottom-right… Wagaa! (You all did this back then, right?)
The risqué video playing immediately revived Chen Mo’s groggy senses.
He leaned in, whispering,
“Hey, Tengzi, good taste—you into uniforms, huh?”
“Whoa! Ge Mo, when did you wake up? You into this too?”
“Just a little! Let me tell you—searching randomly won’t cut it. You need keywords: things like ‘ripping…’”
He typed a few words into Wagaa’s search bar.
Clicking search, results popped up instantly.
Wang Teng hissed, “Ge Mo, you’re a legend!”
Since it was getting late, Chen Mo gave up on sleeping.
He stayed beside Wang Teng, puffing cigarettes while enjoying the ‘art.’
An hour later, the video ended.
The clock struck 6 AM.
Unlike other games, Dnf refreshed player fatigue at dawn, not midnight.
“Tengzi, fatigue reset! If you’re keeping up, renew the quest. If not, come back tonight. Just hit level 40 Asap!”
Level 40 wasn’t arbitrary.
In-game, Gold Coin carrying limits scaled with level—
Level 40 meant 40x40 = 16 million Gold Coins.
Rounded down, that’s $100.
With that settled, Chen Mo grabbed his staff card and rushed to his personal PC.
Boot up, log in—seamless.
Staring at his refilled fatigue bar,
he debated soloing or calling Wang Lei—
when Wang Lei himself plopped down beside him with breakfast.
“What’s the plan, Ge Mo? Am I on time?”
“On time? You’re the damn cavalry!” Chen Mo praised.
“Don’t say that—I’m not sacrificing my head for a concubine!”
As Wang Lei logged in,
Chen Mo swiftly accepted a new main quest:
Stone Giant Tower
Requirement: Clear Sky City’s Stone Giant Tower.
Three quests, party formed—
they dove into the dungeon.
Similar to previous instances,
though the Stone Giant Tower’s mobs had high defense, damage, and levitation skills,
they were cannon fodder against Wang Lei’s max-level Red-Eye.
Chen Mo hadn’t even finished half his tofu pudding with coriander, chili, and pickles
before the instance was cleared.
New quest, repeat the process—
and so it continued…
Next came Dark Abyss Corridor, Lord’s Palace, Floating Citadel, Sanctum Perimeter.
After grinding fatigue, they tackled the Perplexity Tower.
By the time they cleared all five Perplexity Towers,
Chen Mo hit level 28.
“Old Mo, let’s hit the PK Arena! Today’s team arena battle (1v1 arena, arena battle)—we’ll dominate together!” Wang Lei suggested, excited. “How many Crimson Star Mystery Boxes did you open?” “Uh… over a hundred?” Wang Lei: “……”
“You go ahead. I’ll join once I finish these Fatigue Potions,” Chen Mo replied.
“Fatigue Potions? You used all three yesterday!”
Wang Lei blinked, confused.
Chen Mo hesitated—
but instead of dragging it out,
he chose a blunt strike over slow torment.
“Yesterday’s gone, but I opened a few more Crimson Star Mystery Boxes around midnight.”
He showcased the copied Fatigue Potions:
Fatigue Potion x30!
Wang Lei: “Huh??”
The number froze him.
He rubbed his eyes, then squinted at the screen.
Once confirmed, he exploded,
“F, f, f*! Old Mo, what god-tier luck is this?! I’ve never seen anyone pull this many Fatigue Potions in a single night!”
“You sure they’re from boxes? How many Crimson Star Mystery Boxes did you open?”
“Uhh… over a hundred?”
Wang Lei: “……”
