Chapter 187
Chapter 187
In an instant, Malfoy's body was flipped over, hanging in the middle of the Quidditch pitch, his large robes dragging on the ground due to gravity.
"What did you do to me? Put me down right now!" Malfoy screamed in terror.
Several Slytherin students rushed forward, pulling at his robes and clothes, trying to pull him down, but to no avail. They only managed to tear his sweater and robes in the process.
"Finite Incantatem!" Marcus waved his wand, attempting to remove the spell on Malfoy.
However, a beam of magic flashed, and Malfoy remained suspended in mid-air, even swaying due to the unstable spell.
"Enough, all of you! Don't touch me!" Malfoy, angered by the well-meaning but ineffective Slytherins, quickly covered the exposed areas of his torn clothes.
Just as Ivan was about to explain, Marcus stepped forward and scolded, "Hals! How dare you cast a spell on Malfoy? Put him down right now!"
Ivan shrugged, completely unconcerned by Marcus's words, showing no intention of removing the spell.
"What are you all standing around for? Attack him!" Suspended in the air and being stared at by a group of people, Malfoy was furious and angry, glaring at the Slytherins who were just watching, and screamed loudly.
Marcus hesitated for a moment, but some of the Slytherins, considering the new brooms, aimed their wands at Ivan, various spells flying towards him.
"Swelling Solution!"
"Silencing Charm!"
"Tap Dancing!"
Despite their reservations, no one dared to use lethal spells.
But being hit by a barrage of powerful curses would certainly not end well, and being humiliated in public would be the least of their worries.
The Gryffindor Team members, who were watching, didn't expect the other side to attack so quickly, and their reaction was slow. By the time they drew their wands to provide support, various spells had already hit Ivan.
"Ivan!" Hermione screamed in worry, but her expression quickly froze, her brown eyes filled with disbelief as she stared at the scene before her.
As the spells approached, a magical barrier appeared around Ivan. The spells, upon touching his body, rebounded back to their original paths.
The colorful magic beams shot back into the Slytherin ranks at an even faster speed, and the young wizards who had cast the spells all met with misfortune.
One Slytherin boy started tap dancing uncontrollably, while others weren't faring any better. Several had their front teeth extending all the way to their chins, and others had disgusting boils appearing on their faces.
"You—" Marcus drew his wand and pointed it at Ivan, but he hesitated to act, as the group of Slytherins behind him had already set a precedent.
"This time, it wasn't me!" Ivan shrugged, indicating that he had done nothing, and they were reaping what they had sown.
However, Ivan thought for a moment and decided not to escalate the situation. He used his wand to remove the spells from the Slytherins, except for Malfoy's.
The Slytherins, who had suffered a significant humiliation, looked at Ivan with a mix of anger and fear.
At that moment, they recalled the rumors about their previous Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, Quirrell, who was said to have been turned into powder by the young witch standing before them.
After intimidating the Slytherin students, Ivan finally let out a sigh of relief. The ring on his left finger dimmed.
Using the protective ring to deflect five spells in a row had already pushed this defensive item to its limit.
This was only possible because the spells were generally not very strong. Otherwise, they might not have been able to withstand them.
Ivan turned to look at Malfoy, who was hanging in mid-air, and spoke.
"I advise you to apologize to Hermione. Otherwise, you might be hanging here all day, or you can fantasize about someone coming to save you."
Under the scrutiny of the crowd, Malfoy's face turned bright red.
As a proud pureblood, Malfoy would rather die than apologize to a Mudblood, and he even boasted that he would tell his father, Malfoy, and Snape, to get Ivan expelled from Hogwarts!
"Are you sure?" Ivan's expression was strange. If his memory served him right, Snape was the wizard who least tolerated the derogatory term "Mudblood."
It was because Snape used this word that Lily, who had previously been on good terms with him, chose to break ties and gradually began dating Harry's father, James Potter. This was a lifelong pain for Snape!
So if Malfoy were to excitedly tell Snape about this, he might end up getting a beating.
However, as Ivan looked at Malfoy hanging in the air, he felt something was off.
This scene seemed so similar to something in Snape's memories.
A Muggle girl, the Dangle Charm, and Malfoy as a Slytherin. If he could replace Harry with someone else, it would be perfect.
Ivan's expression grew stranger. He looked around, relieved that Snape was not there. Otherwise, he would have a tough time explaining.
Snape might even imagine a love triangle involving them.
That would be terrifying.
Ivan shuddered and quickly stopped the chaotic thoughts in his head. His punishment of Malfoy was different from how James Potter and his friends deliberately teased Snape in the original story.
Snape was bullied and isolated as a child, which was pitiable.
Even Ivan had to admit that Harry's father, James Potter, did a terrible thing.
But Malfoy had brought this on himself with his foul mouth. It was necessary to teach him a lesson.
With this in mind, Ivan said to Malfoy.
"Professor Snape is not here right now. Also, you should think carefully about what you said. If any of the professors hear it, they will at least give you detention.
I think Professor Snape would do the same. If you don't care about your life, you can try it sometime."
Ivan took a few steps forward and stood in front of Malfoy, speaking again. "As for now, apologize to Hermione!"
Malfoy wore a defiant expression, but as Ivan got closer, he looked around in a panic, seeking some sense of security.
However, the Slytherins who had been surrounding him instinctively took a few steps back when they saw Ivan approaching.
