Su Su was still a bit hesitant.
Although she was young, she wasn't completely clueless.
The auntie who had just left gave her a very unfriendly look, and it seemed that she had been bullying her mother.
Since the father king was her daddy, he should have protected her mother, but he hadn't said much and even allowed that nasty auntie to bully her mother.

The soft voice of the little girl made Qi King's eyes crinkle into a line as he smiled.
"That's right, that's right! This is the feeling I've been longing for! Warm and affectionate, a little sweetheart!" This was the daughter he had always dreamed of!
If only she were his biological daughter. Why couldn't she be his own flesh and blood when they shared the same eyes?
Qi King felt a deep sense of regret that Su Su was not his by blood.
"She belongs in our mansion; she should have been born into our family!" he thought to himself. "Who secretly took away my child? I should be angry about this!"
Although Qi King was middle-aged and had put on some weight, he was still physically fit.
With the queen's consent, he carried Su Su and strolled around the courtyard, admiring the flowers and grass.
The two concubines, Concubine Chen and Meng Concubine, watched this scene, and their hearts felt a twinge of sour emotions.
However, when they thought of how the king had also happily held and cherished their own children when they were young, the sourness in their hearts seemed to dissipate a little.

Qi King was startled and anxiously asked, "Su Su, what's wrong?"
