"Phew...finally shook him off."
In the darkness, the "Spider Freak" lay crouched behind a boulder, cautiously poking his head out to survey the area.
Hopefully, they aren't still chasing us.
Kohara's voice came through his earpiece: "Looks like we lost them."
"Yeah, that was too close," Oohara panted.
"Damn that Yu Xuan! Wearing the Blue Dorm uniform was a low blow," Kohara grit his teeth in anger.
To resort to such underhanded tactics—despicable!
Thankfully, Oohara was quick on his feet. But their relief was short-lived as the devilish voice rang out again in their ears.
"Hiding over here, are we?"
The duo froze, their spines tingling.
It's him!
They stiffly turned their heads to see the Yellow Dorm's devil standing behind them, a chilling smile on his face.
"Just a heads-up, but running is futile," Yu Xuan said casually.
Neither of them seemed to possess sufficient "Aura Affinity."
That's why they didn't notice the Silent Magician, who had been standing on top of the boulder they were hiding behind, curiously tilting his head at them.
Although Yu Xuan had been trailing casually behind, the fact that the duo had been marked by the aura meant they had no chance of escape.
With no path forward, it seemed they had reached a dead end.

Oohara took a deep breath and stood up straight. "Alright then, bring it on. Let's show him what our combo can do."

The lights on the Duel Disk lit up, indicating that the right to choose who goes first had been given to Yu Xuan.
Yu Xuan didn't hesitate: "Then I'll take the first turn. Draw!
I'll summon a monster in face-down defense mode and set a card. End turn."
Oohara: "My turn, draw!"
Kohara's instructions came through the earpiece: "Summon 'Giant Beastman'!"
Oohara obeyed: "I summon 'Giant Beastman'!"
A burly beastman holding a bone fragment appeared. His massive body seemed to be made of hard rock and steel-like muscles. His eyes blazed red, and sharp fangs protruded from his tightly closed mouth as he answered the summons and took the field.

Oohara wasn't very skilled in actual duels, so he was more or less a puppet. The real duelist was Kohara, who was pulling the strings from behind the scenes.
"Then Special Summon 'Swift-Footed Raptor'!"
A sleek, streamlined dinosaur with smooth scales and wide, powerful limbs took the field.

Yu Xuan shrugged: "I don't have any monsters in my graveyard."
The Swift-Footed Raptor's effect that allowed the opponent to Special Summon a monster from their graveyard was a mandatory trigger effect, but the decision to use this effect during the resolution belonged to the opponent. Even if the opponent chose not to Special Summon a monster, it wouldn't affect the Raptor's ability to be Special Summoned.

The Magic Card was "Confusion Magic."
It was a bit of a shame not to draw a card like "Greedy Angel Black Hole," but this would have to do.
"Then, I add 'Confusion Magic' to my hand," Yu Xuan stated.
As the Magic Card was added to his hand, the charging dinosaur collided with the tiny magic dealer, sending it tumbling and vanishing from the field in a flash of light.
"Now, Giant Beastman's direct attack!" Oohara ordered.
Taking the first turn and dealing significant damage right off the bat. Their collaboration in these duels over the past two days had been a string of victories, boosting their confidence.
"Then, by discarding one card from my hand, I activate this Trap Card," Yu Xuan said as he discarded a card from his hand to the Graveyard, then flipped the Set Card he had placed earlier.
"Trap Card—Causal Cut-off!"
The Oohara duo was taken aback.
They recognized this powerful Trap Card as a well-known pitfall for their opponents.
"Discard one card to target one monster your opponent controls and one card with the same name in their Graveyard; banish both. Banish 'Giant Beastman' from the game!"
As the Trap was activated, a transparent wave enveloped the burly beastman as it swung a bone, attempting to attack. The beastman was then sucked into a dimensional vortex and vanished from the field.
"Additionally, the card I discarded earlier was 'Confusion Magic.' When 'Confusion Magic' is sent to the Graveyard, I add one 'Confusion Green,' 'Confusion Yellow,' and 'Confusion Black' from my Deck to my hand," Yu Xuan explained as three cards automatically popped out of his Deck, which he then drew. His Deck automatically shuffled within the Duel Disk.
"Damn, that Trap really messed us up," Kohara muttered. "Let's leave it at that for now."
Oohara nodded, acknowledging the instruction. "End of turn."
"My turn, draw," Yu Xuan said calmly, drawing a card from the top of his Deck.
"First, I activate the Magic Card 'Reverse Book of Fate' (Original Card). When your opponent has a Special Summoned monster and you control no monsters, draw 2 cards. Since you have a Special Summoned 'Swift-Footed Raptor' and I have no monsters, I draw two cards."
Yu Xuan drew two cards and then revealed another card from his hand.
"Now, I activate this—
—Continuous Magic, 'Territory Sinks'!"
The solid ground before Oohara suddenly cracked like a shattered mirror, deep fissures appearing out of nowhere, resembling the gaping maw of a beast. The ground rumbled as it sank, and the corresponding two Monster Zones cracked open.
"What?" Kohara frowned.
"Territory Sinks allows me to designate two of your Monster Zones to be unusable," Yu Xuan explained.
Monster Zone seal? Kohara had a bad feeling about this.
"Then, I activate the Magic Card 'Polymerization,'" Yu Xuan continued.
He drew the three cards he had searched for during the previous turn all at once.
"I fuse 'Confusion Yellow,' 'Confusion Green,' and 'Confusion Black'—a triple fusion summon—
Three colors of light swirled into the fusion vortex, emitting a brilliant flash of light. From within that white-hot glow, a powerful arm and a massive head emerged, followed by a formidable figure that seemed to exude the essence of "harmony."
"Fusion Summon! Confusion King!"
