Chapter 18: The Magic Essence Sprite Workshop Renovation Plan 1.0
Chapter 18: The Magic Essence Sprite Workshop Renovation Plan 1.0
"Yawn~ I’ve been pushing myself lately. Luckily, I can use meditation to replace sleep, or I would’ve died from exhaustion."
It was the seventh morning. Qin Muye yawned as he finished his meditation session. His magic power hadn’t increased, but he had fully restored his energy through meditation.
Last night, he had worked through the night, dedicating himself to researching the sprite subjects, and the results were significant.
He owed this to his Lord's innate talent for learning and academic research. Of course, it also helped that he had Intermediate Enlightenment, Intermediate Academia, and his 6 points in Knowledge.
These attributes gave him an extraordinary ability to learn and understand.
He had completed a new and improved sprite workshop renovation plan, and the efficiency was almost like cheating.
This further solidified his belief that specialization was key. He only needed to focus on learning and capitalizing on that knowledge. There was no need for him to engage in combat; once his forces grew, they would naturally support his strength.
Then, when he needed to level up, he could be surrounded by powerful heroes and units, hiding safely while reaping the benefits of their experience.
"Next, I need to test my hypothesis."
Qin Muye glanced at the sprite workshop. It was the seventh day, and under normal circumstances, the sprites in the workshop would be refreshed tomorrow. He wanted to take advantage of this timing to renovate the workshop.
This would be his first attempt at modifying a building in the "Era of Lords."
If successful, subsequent renovations would be much easier.
"Too bad I don’t have a pen; otherwise, I could record all this data." Qin Muye sighed and then entered the sprite workshop.
As for the Greater Sprites and the Sprite Factory, he had long since given up on them. If his renovation succeeded, the efficiency would far surpass that of the Greater Sprites and the Sprite Factory.
"The Magic Essence Sprite Renovation Plan 1.0 is about to begin. First, the conversion device. This is the core component and needs to be manually adjusted."
Qin Muye looked at the area inside the sprite workshop, which resembled a magical array. It involved magic conversion, mental transformation, and ideological imprinting. He had studied these techniques from his experiment manual and building blueprints, knowing what to touch and what to leave alone.
"Thankfully, I have 72 points in magic, or I might not have enough." Qin Muye activated his Magic Eye, and the flow of magic in the entire sprite workshop became visible to him.
A massive amount of data was calculated, causing his brain to enter an overloaded state. His blood flowed faster, and his skin began to glow with the radiance of magic.
"I found it!"
Qin Muye was excited as he quickly located the necessary nodes. Magic flowed from his hands, and he began the transformation, starting from the local areas and gradually moving to the whole structure.
[Please note, one of your sprite workshops has undergone a subtle change.]
"I can renovate it. It looks like I’ve found a glimmer of hope." Qin Muye glanced at the notification but didn’t pay much attention to it, focusing instead on the core conversion device.
He knew that the adaptation period wouldn’t be as smooth as the beginner phase, so he needed to quickly elevate his territory.
Strengthening himself would take years of effort, but for heroes and units, it was different.
Time ticked by, and the sweat on Qin Muye’s forehead grew more and more. It wasn’t the difficulty that bothered him, but the tension. After all, this was a delicate magical device, and one mistake could damage it. The frequent notifications only added to his anxiety.
As the final stroke of magic was completed, the prompt arrived as expected.
[One of your sprite workshops has changed, enhancing the attributes and skills of the sprites produced.]
[Please name the new unit and the building.]
[You have obtained a new building: Unnamed Unit Building.]
Qin Muye wiped the sweat from his face and smiled.
"Done. Let's give it a new name and check its stats."
He renamed the sprite workshop to a Magic Essence Sprite Workshop, and the sprites to Magic Essence Sprites.
[Unit Name: Magic Essence Sprite]
[Unit Tier: 1]
[Health: 20/20]
[Mana: 20/20]
[Attack: 7]
[Defense: 7]
[Skills]
[Lucky Garden: +1 Luck]
[Essence Body: +5 Attack, +5 Defense]
[Magic Wisdom: +20 Mana]
[Magic Resistance: Reduces magic damage by 5%]
[Elemental Resonance: For each point of health lost, gain an additional 1 point of elemental damage boost]
[Loyal Taming: Morale never drops]
[Description: A sprite born from a transformation experiment by a gifted lord, possessing attributes and skills far beyond its usual weak nature. More importantly, this gifted lord seems to have more in store?]
"Tch, a real leap forward."
The Magic Resistance was a result of the magic essence's inherent properties, but the true power lay in Elemental Resonance. He had improved this from a Bloodlust Rage ability, where the sprite would burn its elemental magic to enhance its attacks after taking damage. The effect was far beyond his expectations.
He checked the recruitment requirements for the Magic Essence Sprites, which had increased from 30 gold to 100 gold. For context, a Greater Sprite cost 100 gold, but could it compare to his Magic Essence Sprites?
"Next, I'll transform the remaining five sprite workshops into Magic Essence Sprite workshops."
And the other sprites would need to evolve into Magic Essence Sprites as well.
Of course, this was possible, but it required the sprites to be brought to the Magic Essence Sprite workshops.
"Additionally, I've modified the input and output of the core device, so it can produce more Magic Essence Sprites. If my calculations are correct, I should be able to recruit at least ten times as many tomorrow."
"Let's see if Lord Era recognizes this. If it does, I'll have 600 Magic Essence Sprites by tomorrow, enough to overwhelm even hero units."
Qin Muye hurried to another sprite workshop, preparing to transform it into a Magic Essence Sprite workshop. Transforming each workshop cost him 10 points of mana, and he had 72 points left after transforming six workshops.
He felt that after midnight, significant changes might occur, so he needed to prepare as quickly as possible.
He had already started three days later than the other lords, and if he didn't act fast, he would fall further behind. To survive and thrive, he needed to push harder.
He might not excel in management, combat, or resource gathering, but if he slacked off in the areas he was good at, even a deity couldn't help him.
