Chapter 18: My Younger Brother, the World's Supreme Being
Chapter 18: My Younger Brother, the World's Supreme Being
Traversing the Five Realms, Shao Hua not only explained the cultivation methods of the five Secret Realms to her younger companions but also retraced her own path, benefiting greatly from the experience.
Nearly a year had passed, and Wushi was no longer a toddler but a three-year-old boy!
Lacking advanced cultivation techniques and restrained by Shao Hua, young Wushi could only solidify his foundation, reaching the pinnacle of the Tidecore Realm. He had also learned the ancestral techniques of the Holy Body lineage with remarkable proficiency.
One day, he was playing hide-and-seek with two older girls in a forest, chasing and being chased, enjoying himself immensely.
He ran, and they pursued, leaving him with no place to hide.
"Got you, little junior brother!" Nan Jinping and Li Xingruo leaped from tree to tree, hot on his trail.
"No way I'll be caught!" Wushi, with his short legs, galloped through the dense forest like a wild horse set free.
Unbeknownst to him, he had run deep into the mountains.
"Ha-ha-ha! I am forever grateful for your assistance today!"
A sudden, boisterous laugh echoed through the forest, shaking the leaves and carrying an unmistakable sense of excitement and madness.
In a pool of blood, a dark-robed man with a sinister appearance stood alone, his hands stained with his companions' blood. He crouched down, rummaging through the bodies, extracting their life forces.
His aura was unstable, yet it surged to a much higher level in an instant, exuding a sinister energy.
Wushi was taken aback. He had never seen such a bloody and eerie scene before, so he hid behind a large tree.
"Who's there?!"
The dark-robed man, with his keen senses, detected a disturbance and immediately stood up, his voice sharp and threatening. A chilling aura quickly spread around.
Wushi, pressured by this aura, was exposed.
The dark-robed man quickly spotted Wushi hiding behind the tree, his eyes sharp and piercing.
"Where did this brat come from?"
Wushi pursed his lips, thinking he could explain himself. He was a good boy, and his sisters always praised him for being well-behaved and understanding.
But the man suddenly sneered, his aura unleashed without restraint, revealing himself to be a powerful cultivator at the fifth level of the Dao Palace.
"Ha-ha-ha, a mere ant dares to spy on my secrets. Die!"
His body transformed into a shadow, moving like a ghost, and a spirit-forged blade shot out, sharp and merciless, showing no leniency for his young age.
Wushi did not show fear. His black hair cascaded over his shoulders, and his eyes were bright and clear, giving him a delicate and refined appearance.
Though young, he possessed a wisdom and composure that belied his age. Anyone who took him for a simple child would be gravely mistaken.
High above in the clouds, Shao Hua watched the scene below with interest, her hand supporting her cheek, calm and composed, showing no signs of worry or intention to intervene.
Lan Ling, standing by her side, hesitated before speaking, "The young master is only three years old and has only reached the Netherworld Realm. Isn't it a bit too bold to let him face a cultivator at the fifth level of the Dao Palace?"
"I understand your concern, but watch. Some people are just different", Shao Hua replied, her eyebrows slightly raised as she glanced at Lan Ling.
"I see my younger brother, the world's supreme being, the pinnacle of this realm!"
Her tone was calm, yet it conveyed an unshakable confidence, even as she spoke such a bold and assertive statement, as if it were a matter of course.
When the Immortal Path meets its zenith, who can stand against Wushi?
There was no other reason; it was simply because his name was Wushi.
Lan Ling didn’t dare to argue. After all, the young master had a protective talisman personally bestowed by the Western Emperor, and the Supreme Master was watching over him.
Unless the man below, who practiced demonic arts, was a Forbidden Zone Sovereign who had discarded all dignity to disguise himself, there was no way anything could go wrong.
Wushi stood still, looking as if he were scared stiff. In reality, he was waiting for the darkrobed cultivator to get close, his small fists clenched tight, ready to swing out and meet the sharp blade head-on.
“Crack!!”
A sharp sound echoed as the spirit-forged blade was shattered by the punch of a mere child.
The darkrobed cultivator’s face turned pale, and he stumbled backward, his right hand hit by the punch. The terrifying force twisted and deformed it, leaving his entire arm broken into eight pieces, with droplets of blood falling to the ground.
He had been careless, not dodging, and never expected this little one to have cultivation, let alone such a formidable physique. Looking at him, it was hard to believe he was human; he might as well be the offspring of a mythical ancient divine beast.
“Good, good, good. Such an extraordinary little thing. It seems your bloodline and physique are exceptional. I can’t let you live today. I’ll take your essence to aid my cultivation!” The darkrobed cultivator sneered.
He no longer held back, pulling out a radiant soulseal that glowed brilliantly, as heavy as a mountain, causing the ground to crack and sink under its weight as he smashed it down.
Wushi’s face was solemn, knowing the man truly wanted to kill him. The glaring, unhidden killing intent made him tremble, not out of fear but because his body instinctively yearned for battle.
“Sister said, ‘He who hunts souls shall be hunted.’ You want to kill me, so I’ll beat you to death!” Wushi said, charging at the man with a fierce determination.
Despite his small size, the moment he charged, he exuded a sense of dominance and pride, as if the entire world beneath his feet was insignificant.
His small hands formed fists, and his arms swung one after another, displaying a hint of the Six Realms Fist. After nine strikes, the soulseal was shattered, leaving only scattered fragments on the ground.
“Boom!”
Wushi’s short legs moved swiftly, engaging in close combat. He first shattered the darkrobed cultivator’s knees with two punches, then leaped high, gathering strength for another punch.
“You—” The darkrobed cultivator instinctively tried to block with his remaining left hand, but it instantly lost sensation, and a hole appeared through his chest, revealing half a heart still beating.
A powerful punch, a thunderclap to the heart!
The force sent shockwaves that twisted and snapped the ancient trees around them, turning them to ashes that drifted through the mountains.
When the dust settled, Wushi stood calmly, his delicate brows slightly furrowed, seemingly a bit surprised. “Uncle, has anyone ever told you that you’re really weak?”
The darkrobed cultivator was speechless, his eyes losing their light as his body fell to the ground, dying with his eyes wide open.
This is a three-year-old?!
“Amazing!” Nan Jinping and Li Xingruo, who had hurried over, were stunned, their mouths agape in disbelief.
The darkrobed cultivator was less than twenty years old, with the cultivation of the fourth Dao Palace realm, which was indeed quite impressive, making him a minor genius.
But despite Wushi’s young age, he had perfectly inherited the formidable physique of a Holy Body. In terms of physical strength alone, no one in the Dao Palace realm could compare to his iron sinew and steel bone, which were more terrifying than any magical artifact.
