Chapter 1762: A War Without Victors (Part 212)
Based on human intuition, Truman believed that with Albert's innate talent and expertise in magic, creating magical charms and spells should be a piece of cake. However, in reality, Truman had never heard of Albert's profound skills in spellcasting.
If he had to name one, the most famous one was probably the Human Form Restoration Charm for werewolves.
Truman recalled that Albert had publicly stated that the Human Form Restoration Charm was not his invention, but people still insisted it was his creation or improvement, as no one had ever mentioned the true inventor of the spell since it spread worldwide.
Even though the Human Form Restoration Charm was challenging to learn, it was one of the few spells specifically targeting werewolves, similar to the Patronus Charm for Dementors. Such spells, if they had ever existed, would not leave any trace.
As the two walked and talked, they strolled around Avalon, carefully checking that most matters were on the right track.
Especially in the villa district, some people had already started planning their gardens, planting flowers and greenery.
"What are you planning to do?"
Truman wanted to hear Albert's suggestions in this regard.
"Plant some flowers and maybe build a pavilion for rest. As for the specifics, I'll figure it out later; I haven't decided yet."
Albert had considered replicating the design of their current garden, but after careful consideration, he decided to leave the Avalon villa's garden to Isabella, thinking that the girls might be more adept at such matters.
There was no need to rush this matter; at least, the villa's interior had to be finished before they had spare time to tend to their own garden.
After separating from Truman and returning to the tent area alone, Albert found that the girls who were supposed to be resting there were nowhere to be seen.
"They all went to Harry's place to listen to Isabella's babysitting course."
Perhaps noticing Albert's inquiring gaze, Shanna, who was busy with her tasks, looked up at him and suddenly asked, "What are your plans next? Are you going to set up the sewer system?"
"I haven't decided yet."
This was undoubtedly not a pleasant topic.
But Albert was well aware that he would probably have to handle this himself!
"I remember you already made a design for the sewer system. Do you need to revise it?" Shanna stood up and walked towards the file cabinet behind her. She pulled out a folder, glanced at the previous sewer construction diagram, and handed it directly to Albert.
"If it's confirmed, I'll start having people dig."
"Are there enough workers?" Albert asked.
"The villa district is almost finished. Everyone is now discussing whether to decorate the villas or build more houses," Shanna said, knowing that this situation arose entirely because of Albert.
"Then let's deal with this first!"
Albert turned his head to indicate that he wasn't taking the blame for this.
"What about the design?" Shanna asked again.
"The previous one is fine."
Albert turned to look at the Avalon model in the corner, comparing it to the current Avalon, and sighed softly, murmuring, "The gap between ideas and reality is truly vast!"
"It is indeed. We still need a greenhouse, library, hospital, owl house, and a convenience store for daily necessities," Shanna said, pointing out the public buildings Avalon required as she watched Albert's back.
"We also need public toilets and houses and warehouses for everyone to develop products.
Albert added, "I didn't realize there was so much to build, and the current pub isn't really up to standard."
"Perhaps we can have someone trained at St. Mungo's Magical Infirmary for a while. The most important thing is to have a job like this."
Albert was never concerned about finding someone for the position; he believed there wouldn't be a shortage of applicants as long as there was money to be made.
Experience in healing could be gained gradually.
"Well, it's not just about making money, but also providing a job."
Shanna always found Albert's thinking peculiar. He had already decided to form a miniature management organization with those working for Avalon to handle various issues that might arise.
Undeniably, this approach could solve problems to the greatest extent and also provide suitable jobs for some people.
But...
"Are you sure that's not a problem? If we do as you say, Avalon will need to pay a large sum of Galleons every month as salaries."
"We'll have it, and we'll take it one step at a time." Albert wasn't worried about this issue.
"If you stay in Britain, I wouldn't be concerned about this, and neither would anyone else..." Shanna's words were clear; many things were handled by Albert, and without him, Britain might come to a standstill.
It wasn't that they lacked confidence in themselves, but that was the reality of the situation.
"The situation isn't as bad as you think!"
Albert knew he might need to adjust his plans for the world tour.
Fortunately, the following tasks went smoothly, and everyone realized that some things didn't need to be rushed after all.
But...
The residents of Avalon also realized Albert's importance, and there were often hints that Albert's world tour should be done in segments to avoid disappearing for several years at a time.
"They seem to be afraid that you'll suddenly vanish for years."
Isabella had also received hints from the girls, and she understood their meaning. She couldn't help but marvel at Albert's influence in Avalon.
"It'll be fine once everything is on track."
Albert didn't mind; his intuition told him he wouldn't stay in Avalon for long.
If it weren't for Alice, Albert might not even consider moving to Avalon.
The place they were living in now was good enough, and no one would disturb their family of three.
"You don't plan to stay here for long, do you?"
Although Albert didn't say anything, Isabella realized that her husband probably hadn't considered settling in Avalon for the long term.
Perhaps, less than twenty years, or even shorter.
"Maybe!"
Albert didn't answer directly, and he didn't care.
This made Isabella suspect that Albert had made further progress in his beauty potions or had found his way forward.
Why did she think so?
It was Isabella's trust in Albert; this man had already created too many miracles.
If they could maintain their youthful appearance, it wouldn't be suitable to stay in one place for too long.
After all, human greed is boundless, and even if Albert was powerful enough, he might not be able to withstand it. Disappearing was the best choice, just like the Lestrange couple in the past.
A blink, and she overslept.
