Chapter 174: Pluton's Blueprints
Chapter 174: Pluton's Blueprints
The train continued its rapid journey. After capturing Robin and Franky, Luffy and the others returned to the second car, leaving behind Sag and his two companions.
Robin stared out the window, lost in thought, saying nothing.
Franky, on the other hand, glared at Sag and asked with annoyance, "Hey, what's your connection to CP9? Are you an enemy?"
He had heard Sag's conversation with the CP9 agents, but he had never seen this guy before.
From the tone of the CP9 agents, it seemed like this guy was an enemy. But based on his behavior, Franky couldn't quite understand their relationship.
"I shouldn't be your enemy," Sag replied, exhaling a puff of smoke. "Of course, if you want me to be, I don't mind."
"We just happen to have the same destination," he added.
"Judicial Island?" Franky exclaimed in surprise. "There are others who want to go there? You're quite the oddball, aren't you?"
Sag glanced at Franky's attire and said, "I'd rather not be called an oddball by a pervert."
"What's wrong with a man being a pervert!" Franky shouted defiantly, moving closer to Sag in nothing but his underwear.
"Are you asking to die?" Sag shot him a sidelong glance, and with just those few words, Franky, who had been full of mischievousness a moment ago, froze in his tracks, cold sweat trickling down his forehead.
"Stow away your little thoughts. If you have something to say, then say it. If not, then find a place to sit down and shut up," Sag said coldly. "Otherwise, I think they wouldn't mind tossing you into the sea as well."
"It's Franky, right?" Robin spoke up, having finally snapped out of her daze. "If you have something to say, then say it. That guy is my little brother, so it's fine."
"Little brother?" Franky was taken aback for a moment.
Is he from Ohara as well?
But why are they so different?
He couldn't detect any hint of fear in this man; all he saw was arrogance, perhaps even more unfettered than those CP9 agents.
As a 'dismantling businessman' whose main business was shipbreaking in the Water Seven City, and a bounty hunter as his side hustle, it would be a lie to say that Franky didn't recognize Sag.
'Disaster' Sag—a great pirate with a bounty of six hundred million; there was probably no one in these seas who didn't know of him.
And that was precisely why Franky couldn't figure out what Sag was up to. Facing the CP9 agents, Sag didn't seem like a comrade, but he also didn't seem like an enemy.
This left Franky with no opportunity to speak with Nico Robin. He had originally intended to take advantage of Sag's dislike for him and find a way to drive him away. However, he had clearly underestimated Sag's strength.
With just a glance, Franky lost all courage to move.
Franky fell silent and, ignoring Sag, sat down in front of Robin on the sofa, his eyes fixed on the tightly closed carriage door as he began to converse with her.
Sag had no interest in any of this.
All they were talking about were things regarding Straw Hat and something about the Water Seven City, but there was one thing that caught Sag's attention.
From Robin's words, he learned that the mayor of the Water Seven City was still alive.
"Owl!" Sag called out.
Robin and Franky's conversation paused as they turned to look at him.
The carriage door opened, and an owl flashed into the car, coming to a stop in front of Sag.
"Captain?"
"Tell me about the mayor of the Water Seven City. What exactly does he do?" Sag asked.
Although the owl wasn't one of the members who had been lurking in the Water Seven City for five years, it didn't matter. They shared intelligence, especially with that idiot of a boss, so they pretty much knew everything.
"Yes, Captain," the owl replied. "The mayor of the Water Seven City is named Iceberg. He's not only the mayor but also the president of the Karera Company. That company merged the seven giant shipbuilding companies in the Water Seven City, and it also participates in the city's administration, which is why he became the mayor."
"This company's business is to repair and upgrade ships that come from all over the world, no matter who they belong to. Additionally, it is also the shipbuilding company designated by the World Government, and all naval warships are built by this company."
"He's quite troublesome because he proactively interacts with the World Government, causing them to view him as an indispensable person. As a result, they can't directly take action against him, which is why Lucci and the others had to spend five years there. Spandam used the opportunity presented by Nico Robin's capture to take him down and, at the same time, arrest Cutty Flam, the man who possesses the knowledge of 'Pluton's' construction."
"Pluton?"
Sag looked at Franky inquiringly. "Do you know that technique?"
Having said that, he paused again.
Whoosh!
Sag's figure vanished from the seat, only to reappear instantly in front of Franky, grabbing him by the throat.
Boom!
Franky reacted with a startled punch, landing squarely on Sag's chest, but it only resulted in a hollow thud as if his fist had struck a hard object, proving ineffective.
"Not human?"
Sag's arm rose as he lifted Franky by the throat, questioning him.
"Hmph, I'm a cyborg!" Franky replied with a cold smile.
"Oh, the texture feels odd. Is the front half of your body mechanical? Never mind, it's all the same."
Sag's other hand reached out, moving Franky's fist away from his chest and pressing it against his body, "Where is it?"
His fingers gently probed, as if confirming something, moving down until they reached the abdomen, and then they stopped.
A sinister smile curved his lips, "Found it!"
He remembered!
This guy was the keeper of the Pluton manufacturing technology!
While Sag didn't care much about such things, having it was certainly better than not!
"You!"
Franky's eyes narrowed as he seemed to realize something. His shoulders twitched, and two cannon ports suddenly protruded, aiming directly at Sag in close range.
"Franky Destruction Cannon!"
Boom!!
The cannon blast ripped through the nearby seats, tearing through the carriage roof and floor, revealing the turbulent seawater rushing beneath the train tracks.
The commotion drew the CP9 agents back into the carriage once more.
"Must you always create such a ruckus? We're about to reach the Judicial Island. What's the point of struggling now?" Kakuzu frowned.
"Hmm? Something's amiss. Isn't that the captain?"
Jabura eyed the smoke-filled figure with a furrowed brow, "Is the captain clashing with Franky?"
Lucci spoke calmly, "The primary objective is Nico Robin. As for Cutty Flam, he's merely arrested as a criminal from the 'assault on the judicial ship' incident. If it's just him, we can let it slide."
But soon, they reconsidered.
Whoosh!
The sound of metal piercing through something cut through the smoke, carrying with it the wind from the hole blown in the carriage, clearing the air.
And there, in the midst of the smoke, they saw the scene before them.
Sag had a tight grip on Franky's throat, and one of his arms had pierced through Franky's abdomen. Metallic shards littered the area around Sag's arm.
"This is it!"
A broader smile stretched across Sag's face, and he pulled out a thick, ancient-looking book from Franky's abdomen. On its cover, there was an inscription, clearly visible to them.
PLUTON
Pluton!
"This is it, right!"
Sag casually tossed Franky aside, flipping through the pages of the setting book, "Pluton's construction blueprints!"
Franky slammed into the carriage wall, clutching his abdomen as he fell to the floor, his eyes wide with disbelief as he stared at Sag.
Being a cyborg, he wasn't afraid of injuries, but pain was still a constant.
The strike had dealt him a significant amount of pain, but that wasn't the most crucial aspect.
What mattered was—
"How do you know about this!" Franky shouted.
Impossible!
Only he and Iceberg were supposed to know about this. Thanks to his faked death and name change, he had managed to keep it a secret all this time. Even these agents only arrested him on charges of the 'assault on the judicial ship' incident. If they had known about Pluton being in his possession, they wouldn't have bothered with the Karera Company infiltration; they would have come after him directly.
He had intended to meet that idiotic chief of CP9 and destroy it in front of him. But who would have thought that someone would get their hands on it so directly?
"Seems like it's the real deal."
Sag bared his teeth in a grin, "Such a wonderful thing, we shouldn't let it go to waste. When it comes to technology, it's meant to be utilized by humans!"
He knew that Pluton was in the Land of Wano, but he hadn't paid much attention to it. It was only due to his mindset of not wanting it to go to waste that he had grabbed it.
Burn it,
What a waste it would be.
