Chapter 1727: A War Without Winners (Part 177)
Chapter 1727: A War Without Winners (Part 177)
As Albert watched the girls leaving together, he suddenly felt that perhaps this dress-up game should come to an end.
He wasn't exactly a womanizer, or perhaps he had stopped being one. After experiencing numerous beautiful girls, it was normal to become immune to their charms, just like Albert.
It was only when Isabella, wrapped in a fur cloak, reached out and hugged him from behind, that Albert, who had been lost in thought while gazing at the snowy landscape outside, finally snapped back to reality.
"What are you thinking about?" Isabella asked gently, caressing Albert's cheek with her head. "Do you have something on your mind?"
"Nothing much, just thinking about what to do next," Albert replied.
Ever since Voldemort's death, Albert had indeed felt a sense of aimlessness and emptiness, as if he had completed a game and lost his purpose. He began writing books, attempting to record the knowledge he had gained from his cheat abilities, as a way to keep himself occupied and leave a mark in this world.
The desire to travel the world was also one of the reasons.
In the words of his past life, it was simply being sentimental.
"How about letting your lovers get pregnant?" Isabella joked, "Or finding yourself a hundred mistresses."
"What would I do with so many mistresses?" Albert held his wife in his arms and kissed her forehead, "Even if I were a philanderer, there should be a limit. My body wouldn't be able to handle that many lovers."
"That doesn't sound like something a ladies' man like you would say," Isabella teased.
"Speaking of which, what was my life goal before I became a wizard?" Albert's thoughts briefly drifted back to his younger self. When he first obtained the cheat abilities, he seemed to have wanted to... complete more quests on the panel, to have a life that would make his past self envious.
That wish seemed to have been more than fulfilled.
Just then, familiar footsteps sounded outside the sunroom again. As Katrina entered, she paused, seeing Albert whispering with Isabella. She pouted and walked over, wrapping her arms around Albert from behind and whispering in his ear, "What are you two talking about?"
"We're discussing what to do next," Albert replied, releasing Isabella and gently pushing Katrina's head away from his ear.
"Only a genius like you would have such worries," Katrina said, feeling a bit speechless. She sat down next to Albert and leaned against him, just like Isabella had done.
"Why don't you try creating a potion for eternal youth? Everyone hopes you'll succeed one day so that we can stay young and beautiful forever."
Seeing that Albert didn't respond, Katrina continued, "You could also try creating a Philosopher's Stone. That way, we could live a long life like the Le Mers, taking the Elixir of Immortality."
"We all know what happened to the last person who sought immortality, Voldemort."
Perhaps due to his youth, Albert didn't really yearn for immortality.
"As for eternal youth and beauty, there's no such potent potion. Otherwise, the research on beauty potions wouldn't be at a standstill."
"Didn't Nicolas Flamel create the Philosopher's Stone and the Elixir of Immortality?" Katrina ignored her sister's silent plea to stop.
To be honest, she truly believed that with Albert's talent, he could achieve it, and perhaps even surpass Nicolas Flamel.
"The creation of the Philosopher's Stone was more of a fluke, which is why it's considered a miracle," Albert, as Nicolas Flamel's student, knew the truth behind the stone's creation better than anyone.
If it were that easy, he would have secretly made one for himself long ago.
After all, the magical gold created through the Philosopher's Stone was superior to even elf silver.
In fact, Albert doubted that even if he maxed out the Philosopher's Stone skill on his panel, he might not succeed.
"I believe in your luck," Katrina said, kissing Albert's cheek.
As they spoke, more footsteps could be heard outside, and when Albert turned towards the sunroom door, he saw a group of girls, each draped in thick cloaks, rushing in from the cold.
After all, there was still quite a distance from their rooms to the sunroom, and wearing thin clothing could easily lead to catching a cold.
"Why didn't you change your clothes?"
As the girls adjusted to the warm and cozy environment, they noticed Albert still in his original attire, huddled with the MacDougall sisters.
They paused in the act of removing their cloaks, chattering away with Albert. Valeria even tried to help him undress, taking matters into her own hands.
The other girls exchanged glances, feeling that Valeria's suggestion made sense. If only they were dressed that way, it would be too embarrassing.
On the contrary, if everyone did the same, they could accept it more easily, as they were all in the same situation, and no one could judge the other.
The girls quickly put their plan into action, and to Hermione's astonishment, they stripped Albert down, leaving him in only a silk skirt-pants. Isabella and Katrina couldn't help but giggle at the sight.
"Don't you think this is much better?"
Katherine surveyed Albert from top to bottom, nodding in satisfaction. She removed her cloak, revealing her graceful figure to Albert.
Katherine seemed to want more, as she hugged Albert and pressed her body against his sturdy chest, giving him a long kiss.
If not for the other girls stopping her, this bold girl might have gone even further.
"Who designed this?" Albert, feeling uncomfortable in the skirt-pants, lightly touched it, transforming it into something resembling a sumo wrestler's loincloth.
He understood what the girls wanted, so he didn't dampen their enthusiasm.
With Albert and Katherine setting the example, the other girls also shed their thick cloaks, boldly or shyly displaying their graceful figures before Albert. Their unique attire undoubtedly exuded allure and limitless imagination.
"Who do you think is the most beautiful?"
The girls posed a challenging question to Albert.
"You're all beautiful and unique," Albert began to admire each girl's dress, feeling that the clothes from his past life couldn't compare to their distinctive styles.
For these stunning girls, their dresses weren't just garments but a way to adorn themselves, showcasing their proud figures and boundless charm.
