Chapter 1714: A War with No Victor (One Hundred and Sixty-Four)
Chapter 1714: A War with No Victor (One Hundred and Sixty-Four)
This was indeed Janila's genuine thought, and she couldn't quite fathom what the woman was thinking.
In Janila's eyes, Isabella's enthusiasm and friendliness seemed so genuine that it was the main reason she found her intimidating.
"So... this is Isabella's open scheme. She doesn't even have to do anything, and we willingly walk into the intricately crafted birdcage she's set up, becoming Albert's canaries." Katherine only realized this later, but she didn't really mind such matters, and Valeria was the perfect example, as she eagerly sought to enter the cage!
When it came down to it, Albert's lovers didn't seem to mind these things, or there wouldn't be such harmony now.
Katherine directly brought up Janila's intentions, feeling that her purpose was similar to her own. This was the main reason she initiated the bath with the young girl, and it was certainly not to take advantage of her.
"Canaries? That's quite a description..."
Janila never considered herself a canary, nor did she think Albert's other lovers were canaries.
"Canaries have their own happiness, and it's all consensual."
After saying this, Katherine cupped Janila's face with both hands, leaned in, and kissed the girl's lips, causing her eyes to widen in surprise.
"You..."
Janila froze for a moment before pulling away from Katherine.
"Your kissing skills are terrible; you need to practice more." Katherine paid no heed to Janila's strange gaze and smiled as she explained, "I assume Albert probably doesn't have the time to teach you kissing techniques, so we'll have to do it in our spare time. Otherwise, the experience will be terrible during intimate moments. Don't give me that look; aside from Isabella, none of the other girls get such treatment. Louise and Katrina learned the same way."
"What about you and Valeria?"
Janila already knew the answer as soon as she asked the question.
"We practiced together, of course."
Katherine didn't seem to care about the fascinating expression on Janila's face and continued, "You can go to Louise; women ultimately need the nourishment of love."
This statement made it hard for Janila to keep her composure, and Katherine's words truly made her feel like her previously assumed boldness and openness were being shattered.
"To be honest, I thought you'd be bolder," Katherine said with a hint of disappointment, shaking her head. "But it's okay. Once you fully integrate with us and become one of us, you'll probably loosen up. After all, we're all Albert's lovers; there's no need to be shy."
When Janila stepped out of the bathroom, she felt a bit dazed, unsure if it was from soaking too long in the bathtub or some other reason. Whatever the case, her initial shyness had vanished, and she allowed Katherine to lead her, dazed, to the sunroom.
The sunroom's original sofa and table had disappeared, replaced by a large bed that almost filled the entire room. What puzzled Janila the most was that the other girls seemed to have no intention of leaving. They were chatting until Janila's arrival, at which point they all turned to her with scrutinizing gazes.
"Such a beautiful girl."
Isabella appeared silently beside Janila like a cat, with a smile. "Let's go, I'll take you to change into a new outfit first."
"Change clothes?" Janila was perplexed.
Louise whispered, "Your wedding dress!"
"Wedding dress?" Janila's face was filled with bewilderment.
"Don't you want a little ceremony?"
Valeria glanced at Katherine, her expression saying she hadn't informed Janila.
Although she hadn't indulged in such extravagance initially, she had made up for it later with Albert. After becoming his lover and making her vow, there was no chance to experience the feeling of walking down the aisle in a wedding dress with her love.
Missing out would undoubtedly leave her with regrets.
Just then, Albert entered the room, wearing a tailored suit, young and handsome. Upon seeing Janila still in her sleepwear, he glanced at Katherine with a questioning look.
"Albert is already waiting for you," Katherine said with a mischievous smile, "and..."
No one knew what Katherine said to Janila, but eventually, she agreed to change. As they prepared to leave, Katherine grabbed her hand.
"Change here, it's a great opportunity!"
"Change here?" Janila glared at Katherine, but then she heard her say, "You can have Albert help you. Trust me, it'll be a memorable moment."
"Alright, stop fooling around."
Albert patted Janila's head, easing her embarrassment.
He had done something similar, but Janila clearly wasn't as open about it.
At that moment, the girl's face turned red, her cheeks flushing all the way to her ears. She bit her lips tightly, feeling a strange sense of shame.
However, to everyone's surprise, Janila didn't leave. Instead of asking Albert for help, she changed into her wedding dress right there, despite the overwhelming embarrassment. But when she met Albert's admiring gaze, she straightened her chest with determination.
Her family's enduring success was due to their unique abilities. When Janila arrived, her mother, Diana, had taught her many practical skills.
Janila was pleased with the astonished expressions on the girls' faces, as she had successfully captured Albert's attention, keeping his thoughts focused on her.
The subsequent process wasn't as absurd as Janila had imagined. Albert gently guided her through a familiar ritual.
She received a ring of her own and a passionate embrace, followed by a kiss with the handsome man in front of her, amidst the blessings of the other girls.
She awkwardly initiated the kiss with Albert, but she didn't experience the intoxicating sensation of being lost in the moment with her lover. This made Janila understand what Katherine had meant when she said, "Otherwise, the experience during intimacy will be poor."
As they parted, Albert seemed to sense her predicament and kissed her lips again. This time, led by Albert, Janila finally felt the intoxicating sensation of being intimate with her love.
After they separated again, the girl looked at Albert with slightly dazed eyes, as if asking for more.
"Let's go dancing first."
The dance under the snowy night sky was destined to be romantic and elegant, leaving an unforgettable memory.
